  1. Yup. From what I saw Sam basically said she grew up and out of that ride or die phase and didn't want her son to end up dead, injured, in the mob, etc. That seems like a perfectly adult reasonable assessment. She even explained why Jason doesn't listen to her and why she went to Carly. Of course Carly is going to disagree because....Carly. And she has no self-awareness.
  2. I didn't watch the entire episode and just came in halfway, but I thought Sam explained herself well? Also, Jagger, if nothing else, has always been an idiot. Going back to the ASJ days. It's the one consistent thing about the character.
  3. I turned on the show right now and I am so distracted by Sasha's earrings I am not even listening to what's going on lol.
  4. Interesting.... I have only seen AM on 90210, but I think she's good, charismatic, and funny. I just assumed she was
  5. I do understand the disappointment of your favorite actor/actress having personal beliefs that don't align with your own. I just don't really care lol. It doesn't affect what AZ is doing on screen as Nicole or the 25 years she spent at Days consistently bringing in great performances.
  6. Yes! I have always talked about how much I love that Abe/Marlena scene. There is a lot of good work from James Reynolds in 1985 surrounding the Richard Cates story that includes his brother Theo's death. I don't know how much is available these days, but it was overall a decent story for Marlena and Abe post-Roman/pre-RoJohn.
  7. I have never really liked MM as Abby. I am surprised they didn't ask mostly. I believe she has young kids and lives out of state, so I could see it being a hassle. Annalynne McCord was the best part of that 90210 reboot so I am willing to give her a shot. She definitely has more spunk that Miller.
  8. That is one of my favorite Marlena clips and possibly my favorite Abe/Marlena clip. I don't know if I should give Days credit for playing the long game with the John/Marlena/Roman triangle, but they really laid her feelings out there 2 years before.
  9. I'll toss my vote in for John Black. Great dad. Half the kids he raised weren't even his.
  10. I'll be honest and say I don't follow AZ enough to know if her behavior tracks. I'll make my own hot take and say I don't really care what she thinks or believes lol. I may not agree with her, but she can believe whatever she wants. The only thing AZ owes me or any viewer is to play Nicole to the best of her ability. So while I don't think I would invite AZ over to a dinner party now I am just going to side eye her and move on lol.
  11. Thanks! I knew Mansi was pretty weary of a contract and I found it strange she jumped right into one on GH. I couldn't remember why Miller left or if it was her choice. Since Miller/Mansi have gone back and forth coming and going for so long, I just assumed they'd work something out with Miller.
  12. It's a bummer AZ is a Trumper, but I have no problem enjoying her work. This might veer into a spoiler territory, but with Annalynne McCord showing up this week
  13. Lol. I am still intrigued by the idea. Bobbie wasn't doing a whole lot in 2002 except dating Scott IIRC. The Bobbie/Roy pairing had fizzled and I don't remember her being anymore than a C character at the time.
  14. From what I have gathered through Vanessa's appearances and interview since the story was exactly what we thought. Dante and Brenda were together and the kid was his. Brenda gave birth to Sonny's grandchild. That would have been a lot to overcome for Sonny/Brenda fans. I could have survived them screwing because they didn't know one another existed, but not a kid. I would never have given Brenda a kid, tbh and I certainly would have made it Jax's if anything. Super interesting to hear about the Bobbie rumor. Do you know any more about that? I have definitely heard the rumor about Rick/Laura and the molestation stuff-which was just too far for both characters.
  15. This was quite unforgettable for mostly the wrong reasons lol. Still very puzzling they canceled a soap making money with good buzz, but I guess GH was much more "worthy" in ABC minds although I am sure it would have been canceled after the 50th if not for a ratings surge.
  16. I had no idea about that. Interesting. If you add in the fact Guza hired Brad Rowe, Adrienne Barbeau, and Daniel Benzali for the Balkan story I am sure GH was over budget. None of them are uber famous and pricey, but they also were probably more expensive than your average soap star as well. That MOCA remote looked very expensive and I still can't tell you the point of it.
  17. I don't even want to get into the Franco character and how his misdeeds were whitewashed and all of it. It hurts my head. They couldn't find a non-serial killer for RH to play? Out of 100s of GH characters?
  18. He was still. The show hemmed and hawed about the whole rape thing for a long while with Michael, but I think in December 2010 he came admitted it to Jason, Carly, Sonny et al. I will say I might be a month or so off, but it was definitely when Sonny/Brenda were together and before they got married. ETA- I looked it up. Michael admitted he was raped on Jan 31, 2011. So Guza was still involved. I was just off on dates.
  19. Michael was raped in prison. He confirmed it on screen in 2010. The whole Franco being responsible for it was backtracked though. Carter was his actual rapist I believe.
  20. Jax was still very viable and Ingo was doing some of his best work, but like you said it doesn't matter now. It was just frustrating at the time because Jax just left. And Carly and Sonny just got what they wanted. No one even cared (except Robin) that Sonny tried to literally kill Jax lol. The S&B ending scenes were excellent. Brenda backsliding a bit on it in 2013 was not my favorite, but they still had a hopeful? ending even those it's been 11 years lol.
  21. The idea of bringing back Kate was solid, but way too soon. KeSu was always wrong for the part and way too young-even if I think she's a capable actress at times. I would have waited 6 months and re-introduced Megan Ward as Kate. But, again, I don't know what Guza left behind or how quickly GW had to move to prove himself worthy of the job. And I know, I know, I am the resident Jax defender here(not Ingo), but it was a mistake to write Jax off at that time as well because he was the only one willing to call Sonny out on being a douche to Brenda and in general. And just left without getting any sort of revenge on Carly/Sonny for setting him up for RAPE just to get Carly custody of Joss. Although, I guess he low key got revenge by leaving with Brenda in the end.
  22. You are correct-my mistake. I just felt like panic mode a bit to have both those couples marry so quickly. And I wonder if Guza put some plans into play before Wolf took over. It's entirely possible the show/Wolf threw them all out, but there was a lot of turmoil between March 2011-August 2011 at least.
  23. Yes! I would also state I think it was a clear way to pave the way out for BH and have her go crazy after the loss of Jake. I also think the show knew JJ was not going to re-sign so Liz had reached her end lol. I think Guza also went into hyper drive after he knew he was losing Vanessa and therefore S/B and needed to move Sam/Jason along quickly. They both were pretty happy with their relationship and where they were at until Summer 2011 when they needed to immediately get engaged and then married in a Chinese restaurant. Which, come to think of it, the whole story was an actual disservice to Jasam fans. Lulu/Dante also married quite quickly after Summer 2011 in a pretty non-eventful wedding even though I am pretty sure that was Garin Wolf. I think that was a weird time where the show wanted to erase any trace of botching their Brenda/Lucky return mistakes which included firing Ingo and Becky and just move everything else along so no one noticed.
  24. I doubt GV cares. Days fired him and re-hired him a million times. I absolutely think he would be open to being Lucky again. I am fairly neutral on that idea because I think the show should go after JJ, but GV was fine in the role.
  25. I believe Sam's on screen birthday was established as 1981. KeMo was born in 76, so it's about a five year difference.
