I think that's a very important aspect actually. And I think these short-soaps are in the league of their own in a way, because we just can't compare them with the big beasts in the context of my question. They didn't last as long to have the chance to hit that many icebergs along the way. My general impression is that a lot of people consider AMC to be the least damaged before sinking... and GL - a complete wreck.

Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan Forrester) : 9 That's just so pathetic for a character that just broke off her relationship with her "Destiny" and became a CEO of a company 22 years after she headed that same bordello. What is Bradley doing... This was the moment for Brooke to shine and have these powerful Emmy worthy scenes. Such a disappointment. Even Fake Taylor has 10 episodes... and she at this point is not a character or a human being, but just a prop for Ridge that he can put in a drawer anytime he wants and take it out anytime he pleases.

Me and my husband's struggle with the absolute abyss that is 2003 continues. Every episodes feels like a drag... these 20 minutes feel like 2 hours. It's not working on any level.

Thank you! Lots of moments to look forward to. So far 1988 by Broderick is solid. I have yet to encounter a cringe scene or something off. Dialogue is also very very clever most of the time.

I don't know what the quality of the writing was in these final years of GL, but the production... value... was... not my cup of tea. The show at times looks like someone picked up a phone from 2007 and just taped some people in a yard talking to each-other. Some of the actors were shot in such horrible light that their faces looked 20-30 years older than their original age. I hope I don't offend anyone that likes this style of shooting.

Oh my god! I'm not gonna lie. I expected this level of dedication, passion and love for the genre from you... and I got it! Thank you, darling! I've spend hours giggling and enjoying every second. I have to see these FALL 1984 episodes that you are recommending to me. ❤️ And in a few minutes parking myself and the dog on the sofa and pressing play on the 1988 episodes from March. Oh! ❤️ Love this! Hahahaha! We soap fans are one of the most sleep-deprivation adjusted individuals. Just imagine if the vaults open and we get Classic 70s Restless in complete years, or Classic Bell DOOL in complete years. I'll quit my job to be able to dedicate myself to watching them.

I'm answering to both of you guys in a merged post, because your replies actually confirm what I've been told by a soap opera fan friend of mine - that AMC and ATWT were the shows that aged best and that maintained most of it's quality through the years. I haven't seen this with my own eyes, but your posts are another testament to this opinion. Everything, of course... is beautifully subjective.

I'm aware to a point I check the channel for new content every few hours. 😂
