Pratt out as showrunner for Star. Good! Cuz he did his usual throw everything but the kitchen sink at the characters style writing all season. Especially in the finale

It's partly this 'experience' fetish that corporations, businesses, TV, etc, are so adamant on. You need 3 years of experience for an entry level job, for God's sake. If you've done it before, they trust it more, and they value it more, regardless of how good or bad it was.
Which is why Netflix is eating network's lunch these days. Netflix is opening itself a lot more to first time writers, directors and indie producers.
It creates a 'virtuous cycle' where even big time filmmakers like Martin Scorcese are now flocking to Netflix. Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock are all producing specials on Netflix.
I just read that Netflix is co-producing the never-before seen final film of Orson Welles. Netflix!
Unfortunately Netflix seems to have the same grinding mediocrity as all the rest.
I just wonder what soap would even want him at this point. More fool them. I know a few here would be happy if he goes back to Y&R or GH.
