    ANOTHER WORLD 219
Party at The Corys Part 3
    Grant confronts Jack

Carl and Rachel are in their bedroom.  Carl walks out of the bathroom, and sees Rachel on her laptop wearing a white sequin dress.
    Carl:  You look exquisite...as always.
They hug and Rachel lets out a deep breath after the embrace.  She looks her husband in his eyes.
Rachel:  You were great with Elizabeth.
Carl:  That wasn’t easy at all.  You know how our daughter can be.
    Rachel:  I almost understand it.
Carl:  She had to know that you are not the blame for this.
Rachel:  Thank you.  I was hoping this...day would never come.  This party; this evening; none of it.
Carl:  We’ve gotta tell everyone and I’m at peace with it.
Rachel:  Well I’m not.  The people we love are gonna be hurt.
Carl:  We can’t let this get the best of us.  You are the rock...for all of us.
Rachel:  I hate that we have to tell our friends and the rest of our family.  Felicia…
    --------------------------------------
    AT THE BLAKE’S…
Mitch walks into the living room, where Felicia is looking at her laptop.
Mitch:  Hey we gotta go to the Corys soon right?
Felicia:  Yeah right.  I’m just checking to see if there’s any movement on my movie deal.
Mitch walks over, slowly closes the computer, and kisses Felicia on her forehead.
Mitch:  Let’s...go to the Corys, and you can worry about the movies later, and you’re sweating.
    Felicia:  Oh it’s just...nerves I guess.
    Mitch:  Stress about the movies?
Felicia:  You could say that I suppose.  We’ve been invited to a party and I haven’t told Rachel that I accepted Iris’s offer.
Mitch:  I’m sure she’ll understand when she finds out.  Let me go get the keys.
Mitch walks back into their bedroom and Felicia looks at her right hand, and it’s shaking.
    ----------------------------------------
    Rachel: (V.O.):  Paulina…
    ----------------------------------------
    AT PAULINA’S
Paulina walks downstairs in a white slightly glittered dress and matching open toed heels.
Jack:  My my.  You look great.  Can you take it off?
Paulina:  As much as I’d love to do that, we gotta get to the Corys.
Jack:  Do I really have to go to this party?
    Paulina:  Yes you doooo.
    Jack:  Darn.
Paulina:  Rachel and Carl are the parents I never had.  You know how I grew up.
    Jack:  Foster homes.  I know.
    Paulina:  Well if...you don’t want to go…
Jack:  Come on Paulina.  Of course I wanna go with you.
    Paulina:  Are you sure?
Jack:  I’m ready to let Bay City know that we’re together, but first I gotta go to the station.
    Paulina:  Work work work.
Jack:  No I’m just checkin up on Dante.
Paulina:  He texted me and told me that he’s enjoying the job.
Jack:  Yeah it’ll be something real quick.  Gonna check over his work, then I’ll get dressed and be on my way to the Corys.
Paulina:  I wish Dante could finish his training in Bay City.
Jack:  He doesn’t have that long to go.  He’ll be back home before you know it.
Paulina:  You’re gonna bring my son home to me.
Jack:  That’s not all I’m gonna bring to you.
    Paulina smiles.
    Paulina:  Hmmmm.
    They kiss.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Rachel: (V.O.) Donna, Michael.
    ---------------------------------------------------------
LOVE MANSION...Donna, dressed in a baby blue glittered dress, walks into the foyer.
Donna:  Bridget we’re leaving soon!  You’ve got five minutes!
Bridget is upstairs in her bedroom and she’s applying her lip gloss, then she stands up and looks in her vanity mirror.  As she primps her hair, and admires her light green dress, she notices something in the background….the used condom.
Bridget:  How did that get over here?
    --------------------------------------------------------
    IN THE LIVING ROOM...
Michael, who is wearing a navy blue suit, white shirt, and sky blue tie and black dress shoes, is on his cell phone.
Michael:  Hey Stace it’s me.  Just thought I’d check on ya.  Hope you and Lindsay are doin’ well.  I’ll speak to you soon.
Michael turns around and sees Donna.
    Michael:  You look great.
Donna walks up to him and slaps him.
Michael:  Hey what was that for?
    Donna:  Stacey Winthrop?  Really?

    PART 2
    Michael:  Donna…
Donna:  We’re about to go together to a party for Carl and Rachel and your’e calling Stacey Winthrop?
Michael:  She’s trying to get through a difficult time.
Donna:  And you just have to be there for her huh?
Michael:  Donna you’re jealous for no reason.
Donna:  No reason?  You two dated years ago.
    Michael:  Exactly Donna...years ago.
Donna:  She has Cass and Frankie to help her get through whatever she’s going through with her daughter.
Michael:  How can you be so cold?  Stacey needs a friend.
    Bridget interrupts them.
Bridget:  Ummm...are we ready to go?
Donna turns around, gathers herself, and smiles.
Donna:  Of course we are honey.  Let’s go to the Corys.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carl:  I just can’t help but to think about Cory and Elizabeth.
Rachel:  I don’t want to worry about them.  They’re in good hands.
Carl:  I know.  I take comfort in that.  They’ve got a whole family to look out for them.
Rachel:  We’re all gonna miss you, but we’re going to get through it.
Carl:  You’ve got such a...strong support system.  Matthew, Amanda, the children, your friends.
Rachel:  I’ve been blessed, especially with Felicia.  I am so grateful that we’ve been friends for such a long time.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Mitch and Felicia arrive at the Cory Manse.  Matt answers the door.
    Felicia:  Matthew hi.
    Matt:  Felicia...Mitch.
    Mitch:  Hey there.
Felicia walks to the living room.
Mitch:  So this is the night of the big party huh.  Wonder what prompted Carl to do that.
    Matt:  It’s...it’s a celebration.
Felicia leaves them as they finish.
Mitch:  You know Jasmine texted me.  She wants a new tablet.
Matt:  I told her she needs to focus on school right now.
    Mitch:  Well…
Matt:  Mitch tell me you didn’t...come on.
Mitch:  She’s my granddaughter I can’t say no.
Matt:  I said I would get her a new tablet once she picked her grades up.
Mitch:  She promised me she would do better.
    Matt:  Promises promises.
As they walk to the decorated living room, they notice Felicia at the liquor table.  Felicia is staring down at the liquor.  Now both of her hands are shaking, she’s sweating, and taking deep breaths.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carl:  I also worry about Paulina.  She’s become like a daughter to me.
Rachel:  Me, too.  Just wondering about how things are gonna end up for her with Jack.  He’s still married to Carly.  I really hope she doesn’t get her heart broken.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paulina walks into the foyer of the mansion and Matt greets her.
    Paulina:  Matthew hi.
    Matt:  Hey you look great.
Paulina:  Thank you.  Where’s your mom and Carl?
Matt:  I think they’re still upstairs.
    Paulina:  This big party.
    Matt takes a deep breath.
    Matt:  Yeah.
Paulina:  What’s going on?  Is everything alright?
Matt:  Yeah uh...I just laid into my father about Jasmine.
Paulina:  Oh.  How is my niece doing?
Matt:  She’s giving me gray hairs and she doesn’t even live here.
Paulina:  Oooh Matthew.  The joys of being a parent.
    Matt:  Oh the worries.
Paulina:  I was blessed to raise Dante, but I didn’t get that chance with Remy.  I wish she didn’t have to grow up the way I did.
Matt:  The important thing is that you were there for her when you could be.  As soon as you knew who she was you were in her life, and she loves you.
Paulina:  I love her, too.  I love both of my children.
    Matt:  Where’s Jack?
Paulina:  He had to stop at the station, but he should be along soon.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
POLICE STATION...Jack is wearing a dark gray suit, white dress shirt, with no tie.  He’s sitting at his desk on the desk phone.
Jack:  That’s good Dante.  I’m hearing that you’re picking up things quickly.  Soon you’re gonna be good enough to take over the BCPD.  Talk to you soon buddy.
    Someone buzzes Jack.
Jack:  What’s up?  Okay send him in.
    Seconds later, Grant walks in.
Jack:  What are you doing here?
Grant:  Ohh Detective Snyder, this has been long overdue.  Time for us to have a talk.
    Jack:  About what?
Grant:  What do you think?  Paulina.  After this you’re not gonna be involved in her life anymore.
Jack laughs while Grant takes out the jump drive.
Jack:  Grant don’t you have something else to do?
Grant:  Oh you think this is funny.  You won’t be laughing after you see what’s on this.  I can’t wait for you to take a look at it.

    WINTHROP’S HOUSE
The Winthrop women (Charlie, Lindsay, Stacey) are with Felicia and Frankie. Felicia and Frankie are off to the side as Charlie, Lindsay and Stacey are gathered around the couch.
    Frankie: Did you call them?
Felicia: Yeah they should be here any minute.
Frankie: Felicia, listen. You don’t know how happy it makes me that you’re here for Charlie.
Felicia: I wouldn’t miss this for the world.
Frankie: And I’m happy that we’re friends. I know we had a lot of differences in the past.
Felicia: That was a lonnnng time ago.
    Frankie’s eyes well up.
Frankie: I was so self righteous about what happened with Aunt Sharlene. I’m...I’m sorry.
Felicia: Honey...I forgave you a long time ago. Forgive yourself. Tonight and tomorrow will be about Charlie. That’s who we’re here for.
    Frankie: Of course.
The two join the three Winthrop women at the couch. Stacey is sitting on couch, while Charlie and Lindsay are sitting on the floor leaning on the couch.
Stacey: So we’ve got two of them.
    Lindsay: Something old and borrowed.
Frankie: I think Emma’s wedding dress would qualify those.
Felicia: So we need something new and blue.
    Someone rings the doorbell…
    Frankie: I’ll get it.
Frankie opens the door, and it’s a hunky man in a Bay City Policeman’s uniform holding an envelope.
    Man: Is Cass here?
    Frankie: No. Why?
Man: I have to deliver this to him.
    Frankie: I’ll make sure he…
Frankie stops as the man walks in and Felicia approaches him.
Felicia: I didn’t hear her invite you in.
The man opens the envelope and a blue blindfold drops out. Charlie walks over and picks it up.
    Man: Put it on.
Lindsay brings over a chair and Charlie looks back at Lindsay.
Charlie: So this must be something new and blue.
    Lindsay: Have a seat girl.
Lindsay helps to plop Charlie in the chair by her shoulders. Felicia gets the remote and turns on rock music on the MP3 dock. Charlie takes off her blindfold and the hunky man, complete with a six pack stomach, chiseled chest and arms, and only wearing a speedo, starts to gyrate his hips in front of her, and the other ladies root him on. Meanwhile, Frankie tells something to Felicia…
Frankie: I wonder what my Aunt Sharlene would think of this.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE MENTAL INSTITUTION, MItch confronts John in front of Gregory and Sharlene in Sharlene’s room.
    Sharlene: Mitch.
Gregory: No mom I wanna hear what dad has to say about this.
John: I am not having an affair with Felicia. I told you she was helping me find Michael.
    Sharlene interjects.
Sharlene: Yes Mitch. That’s what he was doing. He was trying to find his brother.
Mitch: He’s still alive? Michael’s been dead for years.
Sharlene: No he’s not. He’s alive.
Mitch: John you could’ve had anyone else help you. Why my wife? She’s happily married.
John: Well maybe not. You knew what my wife was going through with the D.I.D. and you said nothing.
Mitch: You didn’t need Felicia’s help in finding your brother.
John: And you should’ve told me about Sharlene.
Sharlene: Look this isn’t getting us anywhere! Gregory, Mitch, I need to talk to my husband...alone!
    Gregory: But mom---
    Sharlene: Go Gregory!
    After Gregory and Mitch leave...
John: What’s going on with us? You confided in Mitch about what you were struggling with instead of coming to me?
Sharlene: Is there anything else you have to tell me John?
John: What does that supposed to mean?
Sharlene: Let’s do it! Let’s get everything out on the table! Because if you walk out that door with any more secrets, our marriage is over.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MCKINNONS HOUSE - Kirkland walks in and all the lights are off. Subsequently, he turns them on and, much to the surprise of Kirkland, sees a tanned, slightly petite, beautiful, blonde haired woman dressed in a two piece bikini. She slowly and seductively walks up to Kirkland and unbuttons his shirt.
    Kirkland: What are you doing?
    Jake and Steven appear…
Jake: What do you think this is?
Steven cues “Nasty Girl” by Vanity 6 on the MP3 dock, and the girl starts dancing seductively as Jake and Steven root the girl on.
Kirkland (to himself): So glad my dad didn’t come.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
GRANT’S HOUSE - Grant sits on his couch reading his tablet, then Christy enters his home, and he takes off his reading glasses.
    Christy: I’m baaaack!!!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    PART 2
Felicia walks into her and Mitch’s apartment, turns the lights on, and finds Mitch sitting on the couch, staring at the wall.
    Felicia: Hi honey.
Felicia puts down her keys on the end table, and sits next to her husband, and Mitch continues to stare off away from Felicia.
    Mitch: How was the party?
Felicia: Oh it was great. We had so much fun. You should have seen the look on Charlie’s face. She had no idea we got her a stripper.
Mitch: You mean you didn’t tell her?
Felicia: Well of course not. That would’ve ruined the surprise.
Mitch: Surprises you are full of huh?
Felicia: She enjoyed that, and so did we.
Felicia leans on Mitch’s left shoulder and he is unresponsive.
Felicia: What’s going on? Are you okay?
Mitch gets up from the couch and turns his back to Felicia.
Mitch: I wonder if I should tell you.
    Felicia: Tell me what?
Mitch: Don’t you hate to be kept in the dark?
Felicia: Apparently you like to sit in it. Tell me what’s bothering you.
    Mitch: How’s Michael?
    Felicia: Michael?
Mitch turns around and faces his wife.
Mitch: I hope you and John found him...together.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
John: What do you want me to tell you?
Sharlene: The truth. What else are you hiding from me?
John: You’re my wife. Why would I hide anything from you?
Sharlene: Because that’s all you’ve done for these past few weeks. Or has it been longer?
    John: Sharlene---
    Sharlene: What else?
    John: That’s not important---
    Sharlene: What else John?!
    John: Okay. Dr. Taylor.
    Sharlene: What about him?
John: I told him...I told him to not let you remember anything about the day Grant was shot at the Center opening.
Sharlene starts shaking her head in apparent disbelief.
Sharlene: Why? Let me guess...for my protection.
John: I didn’t want you to end up in a place like this! Listen, all I want is for you to come home, and we can be the family that we’re supposed to be.
Sharlene: I...I have to think. I need time to think.
John: Whatever you think about, please always remember that I love you.
John slowly walks out and Sharlene breaks down crying.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Grant: Did you do it?
Christy: Oh it’s done, all thanks to you.
Grant: What else are you going to do?
Christy: Oh Grant, that’s for you to find out isn’t it?
    Grant: Do I want to?
    Christy pauses.
Christy: I hate having to do this to Mary Frances.
    Grant: You have a conscience?
Christy: Yes I do as a matter of fact. Mary Frances is the only friend I’ve ever had. What I’m about to do is going to hurt her very much.
Grant: Whatever this plan is that you have, you better leave my son out of this.
Christy: Don’t worry. I’m not targeting Kirkland.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MCKINNONS HOUSE - The stripper has left as Jake, Steven, and Kirkland are at the couch, and they’ve had a few drinks.
    Jake: Okay that’s enough.
Steven: You said that three shots ago.
Kirkland: Jake’s right. I don’t wanna be hung over at the altar.
Jake: Yeah that...that wouldn’t be good.
Kirkland and Steven look at each other, and then look at Jake as they heard a slur.
    Steven: He’s drunk.
    Jake: No I’m not.
Kirkland: Come on Jake you gotta stand up for me tomorrow.
Jake: I am gonna stand up for you. I wouldn’t miss...your big day.
Steven: Of course, but Jake you can’t have any more.
Jake: Kirkland, I hope your marriage turns out better than the one I have with your mother.
    Vicky and Bridget walk in.
Vicky: I see you guys had a lot of fun.
Bridget: Did you guys get a stripper?
    Kirkland: Mom.
Bridget: And it’s a shame that this is the first time I get to see my eldest brother.
    Steven: Comere kiddo.
    Steven and Bridget hug.
    Steven: I’m gonna….head out.
Bridget: And I’m goin’ to bed.
After Steven and Bridget leave, Kirkland turns his attention to Vicky.
Vicky: Well honey you should go and be ready for your big day.
Kirkland: Not until I find out what’s going on between you two.
They both look at Jake, who has passed out on the couch.
Kirkland: Whatever is going on, swallow your pride and solve it. I know you believe what you did was for the right reasons.
Vicky: Oh you think you know me so well.
Kirkland kisses his mom on her left cheek.
Kirkland: I’ll see you tomorrow mom. I love you.
    Vicky: Love you, too.
Kirkland leaves, and Vicky locks the door, turns around, and looks at Jake, who is sleeping on the couch. She takes the throw blanket that is on the arm of the couch, spreads it out, and lays it gently on Jake. Vicky turns off the light, and walks upstairs.

    PART 1
    BAY CITY CENTER
Cory sits at a table on his cell phone.
Cory: Good I guess. (beat) You're gonna have to ask mom. Didn't you talk to her? (beat) Look I gotta go Lizzie.
Cory hangs up and Bridget walks up to him.
Bridget: You look like you could use a friend.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    HOSPITAL
Cass, Frankie and Charlie have it out in Frankie’s hospital room.
Frankie: Okay so Charlie you...you accepted Kirkland’s proposal?
    Charlie: You heard it.
Cass: I don’t know why you would even consider marriage? It is not some fairy tale you see in the movies.
    Charlie: I LOVE Kirkland dad.
Cass: Do you REALLY love him? Do you even KNOW him?
    Frankie: Cass---
Cass: She’s got to see the reality of the situation. How much do you really know about Kirkland? He is Grant’s son.
Frankie: Come on Cass. Heredity has nothing to do with it.
Frankie pulls Cass to the side.
Cass: Don’t tell me you’re on board with this Frankie!
Frankie: Can you leave Charlie and me alone for a minute?
Cass: There’s no way in hell I’m gonna support this marriage.
Frankie: We know how you feel. Just let me talk to our daughter.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    SHARLENE’S ROOM
Jack and John talk wait for what “Emma” is going to say.
John: Emma? What did Sharlene see in St. Croix?
Emma: That’s something Sharlene has to tell you.
    Jack: This could be important.
Emma: There’s no “could be” about it. It IS important, but I’m not the gatekeeper for nothing. I will decide when Sharlene is ready to deal with what she saw. That’s why I’m here.
John: So you get to make decisions on what Sharlene can face and what she can’t. Sounds like you’re playing a game.
Jack: Listen, we need to know what happened so Sharlene can recover.
Emma: Now who’s playing a game? I really don’t trust you Jack or, for that matter you John. I don’t think you have Sharlene’s best interests.
John shoves Jack aside and grabs “Emma’s” shoulders.
John: I’m tired of this. You let me wife out now!
    Gregory bursts in.
Gregory: You take your hands off my mother!

    PART 2
    HOSPITAL - Cass/Felicia.
Cass is sitting on a bench, and Felicia sits next to him.
    Cass: Hey.
    Felicia: Hi honey.
Cass: Man what a night. I just wanna lie down and go to sleep for hours and hours.
Felicia: I know the feeling. Mitch is being discharged. He told me what happened at the Corys.
Cass: I found Frankie out back of the mansion unconscious. That dreaded feeling I had before came over me.
Felicia: The night she was attacked by Fax Newman?
    Cass: Yeah.
Felicia: We’d all like to forget about that.
Cass: I don’t want to lose her again...ever. But it seems like when I get one thing back, I lose another.
Felicia: What are you talking about?
Cass: Charlie. She’s engaged to Kirkland Harrison, and I don’t agree with it one bit.
    --------------------------------------------------
    Frankie/Charlie
Charlie: Why is dad attacking me about this?
Frankie: He has his reasons. Only he knows.
    Charlie: What do you think?
Frankie: I think he’s scared of losing you. He still thinks of you as his little girl, as I do.
Charlie: So you’re against this, too?
Frankie: Honey, have you weighed all the possibilities?
Charlie: Of course I have mom. I’ve given this some thought way before he even proposed.
Frankie: I know you love him. I don’t doubt that. You just don’t want any surprises coming up that could affect the two of you.
Charlie: Did anything unexpected between you and dad?
    Frankie: Kathleen McKinnon his ex-wife?
Charlie: That wasn’t your fault mom.
Frankie: It’s not the situation, it’s the strength of the love that you have for each other that gets you through it. If you and Kirkland are that strong, then obstacles won’t tear you apart, and you’re ready to be married.
Charlie: We ARE strong mom. I am ready to be with him. Dad talks about school and him being Grant’s son.
Frankie: I’ll talk to your father about that.
Charlie: Kirkland and I are in love, and I’m gonna marry him. I don’t care what dad says.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Cory/Bridget
    Bridget: Can I sit down?
    Cory: Yeah...yeah sure.
Bridget: Was that Elizabeth on the phone?
    Cory: Yeah.
    Bridget: Everything okay?
Cory: She talked to my mom. My dad is in critical condition.
Bridget: Oh my God. What happened?
    Cory: He was poisoned.
    Bridget: I’m so sorry.
Cory: My mom took him away to Springfield for treatment.
Bridget: Well that’s good right? He’s gonna recover.
Cory: I hope so. I was such an ass to him.
Bridget: It was because of what he did in the past.
Cory: I shouldn’t have held it against him. If I can’t make amends with my father, I’ll never forgive myself.
Bridget: Well you’re not gonna get the chance. He’s gonna make it. Your dad’s strong.
Cory: Whoever did this to him should be thrown in jail for the rest of their miserable lives.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Jack/John/Gregory/Sharlene
    Jack subdues Gregory…
Jack: Alright! This is not getting us anywhere! I’m gonna ask you both to leave.
Emma: Do you think your little tirade is gonna get me to tell you what Sharlene saw in the Caribbean? This is why I protect her. Nobody cares about her but me. You all want to control her.
John: That’s exactly what you’re doing isn’t it?
Jack: Is there anything else you can tell us?
Emma: No. I’m tired. I’d like all of you to leave.
John: Please. Give us some answers.
Gregory: You heard her. Let’s go.
    Jack: We’ll continue this?
    Emma: Maybe. Maybe not.
John shakes his head as Gregory and Jack leave. John is the last to walk out of the room and encounters someone.

    BACK TO ANOTHER WORLD

    FRONT OF THE CORY MANSION

ALLEN IS AT THE DOOR WHEN HE GETS A PHONE CALL.

    Allen: Really? Thanks bro.

Allen says “Damn Ty you ain’t have to hang up on me like that.”

Allen then rings the doorbell, and the seven chimes gets Rachel to answer the door.

    Allen (smiling): Good evening Rachel.

Rachel: Amanda’s upstairs. You can wait in the foyer.

    As Rachel walks away…

Allen: The charges were dropped. Tyrone just told me.

Rachel: I know all about that, but it doesn’t excuse what you’ve done.

Allen: I had no choice but to comply with Reginald.

    Rachel: Reginald?

Allen: He orchestrated the whole thing.

Rachel: Reginald is responsible for all of this? Why didn’t you ask for any help?

Allen: If I didn’t go along with it, I would have never seen my mother again. He had her locked up in Pinehaven.

Amanda (coming downstairs): He wanted to protect Nicole.

Allen: You look beautiful. Are you ready to go?

    Amanda: Yes.

    After they leave…

Rachel: It’s time I paid Reginald Love a visit. He caused me to lose my company.

    LOVE MANSION

Marley is fixing Donna’s hair in the living room.

Donna: Marley what are you doing? It’s fine.

Marley: I see some strands here that just need to be brushed down.

Donna: It’s finally here. The grand re-opening is tonight. Things seem to coming together for us. The club is re-opening, and I’m gonna be a grandmother again.

    Marley: I’m…a little worried.

    Donna: About what honey?

Marley: The doctor said it’s high risk because of what happened to me in the fire…and my age.

Donna: You have to positive darling. You and Tyrone are going to have a healthy, happy child.

Marley: You’re right…and you are gonna babysit.

Donna: I’m going to spoil him or her.

Marley: I know that Reginald has controlling interest in the Club.

Donna: I don’t want to think about daddy. I did this all for you, and that little bun you’re carrying, and all of Vicky’s kids.

Marley: I gotta go home and get ready.

Marley pecks Donna on the cheek.

Donna: I’ll see you there honey.

Outside the door, Marley gets a phone call from Tyrone.

Tyrone: Hey baby. I’ll have to meet you at the club at little later. I’m finishing up some paperwork. The charges were dropped against my brother.

Marley: Well, that’s great news right? I’ll just get dressed and see you at the club.

    BAY CITY CENTER

John is at a table and Felicia sits across from him.

    John: Thank you for coming.

    Felicia: Is everything okay?

John: Gregory and I just came back from seeing my mother. Clara’s dementia’s getting worse.

Felicia: I’m sorry. I know it must hurt to see your mother like that.

John: She was in and out of her clarity when we saw her, but she mentioned something and I found this in a drawer.

    Felicia: A diary?

John: She mentioned something about twins, and there are twins in our family lineage.

Felicia: Vicky, Marley are twins, and Bridget and Michele were twins, so that makes sense.

John (giving her the diary): Turn to the bookmark. Mom specifically pointed me to that page.

Felicia (reading the passage): Oh my God.

    CAR

    Marley is driving...dressed and ready….

Marley: Reginald needs to give up control of the club to Donna. Maybe I can talk to him.

    BAY CITY CENTER

Felicia: What does this all mean?

    John: My mother had twins.

Felicia: So you have a twin brother?

    John: No…Michael did.

    LOVE MANSION

Vicky walks in dressed in an violet evening gown, and Donna is dressed in an off-white gown.

    Vicky: Mom you look marvelous.

Donna: Why aren’t you going with Jake?

Vicky: I’m gonna meet him there. I just wanted to check and make sure that you were ready.

Donna: Is everything okay with you two?

    Vicky: We’re doing great.

Donna: It’s good to see you both back on track after all you’ve been through.

Vicky flashes back to Stacey Winthrop telling Vicky that Lindsay is Jake’s daughter, and that Vicky agreed that Jake should not know the truth.

Vicky: Right Donna. Things couldn’t be better. But mom we gotta find you someone. It’s been a while.

Donna: I’ve never loved anyone like I loved your father.

    BACK AT BAY CITY CENTER

John: Clara started crying. She was recalling the time she gave Marty up.

Felicia: So she gave Michael’s twin up for adoption?

John: His name was Martin Hudson.

Felicia: Wow. She kept this hidden for this long?

John: She said they wrote letters often. They kept in touch, but deep down, she thinks Marty resented her for giving him up, and keeping Michael. She feared that one day he would take some type of revenge on Michael.

    BACK AT THE LOVE MANSION

Donna: I wonder if I’ll ever love again.

Vicky: You have to move on mom. That’s what dad would have wanted.

THE HOUSE PHONE RINGS AND DONNA ANSWERS IT.

    Donna: Hello?

The person on the other line, sounds weary and tired…

Person: Donna. Thank God. You’ve gotta help me.

Donna (becoming furious): Who is this?

    Person: Please help…

Donna: Listen I don’t know who you are, but this is a very sick joke and I don’t appreciate it. Don’t you EVER call this house again!

    Donna hangs up in disgust.

    Vicky: Who was that?

Donna: Someone begging for help. He sounded just like Michael.

Vicky: Yeah it’s probably just a prank.

Donna: A sick one at that. I bet you daddy’s behind this somehow.

    BACK AT BAY CITY CENTER

Felicia takes out a letter from the diary…

Felicia: This letter is from Martin to Clara, dated in 1996. John…

John: Michael left town for a while, and supposedly came back in 96, and he dated Sharlene.

Felicia: But from what this letter says, Marty was in Bay City in 1996…

John: So he must have been the one who died in that car accident on the highway.

Felicia: How can you be sure?

John: I’m gonna have to do some digging.

Felicia: Hypothetically speaking, if say Martin was the guy who died in that car crash with Shane Roberts, where has Michael been? Why hasn’t he tried to contact Donna?

John: If that’s the case, if Michael’s still alive, then someone is holding him against his will.

Meanwhile, a man picks up a cell phone, and another man talks to him.

Man #1: I don’t know how he got out. Let alone got a hold of my phone.

Man #2: You should be more careful. Let’s take him back to his cell.

They walk toward another man, and Man #1 lifts this man’s head up…and it is revealed to be an unconscious man that looks like MICHAEL HUDSON!!!!

    PART 1
    AT STACEY’S OFFICE
Stacey is sitting at her desk as someone walks in..
Stacey:  Thanks for coming.  Have a seat.
    It’s Jake.
    Jake:  Is everything okay?
    Stacey:  No.  Not at all.
    Jake:  It’s about Lindsay right?
Stacey:  Yes.  She’s sinking deeper and deeper into this hole and I can’t get her out.  She needs your help...I need your help.
    -------------------------------------------
    AT THE CENTER…
Devin Lucas is walking with Lorna.  Lorna is looking up and around.
Lorna:  Wow.  This place is amazing.
    Devin Lucas:  Must be new.
Lorna:  It is.  This place wasn’t here when I lived in Bay City.  It looks great.
    Devin Lucas is despondent.
Lorna:  Thinkin about your dad aren’t you?
    Devin Lucas:  You’re a mindreader.
They stop walking and Lorna faces him.
Lorna:  Honey, we can’t change the past.
Devin Lucas:  I feel so cheated mom.  Years I missed with my father.
Lorna:  And we explained why.  I was the only one who was able to come and see you.
Devin Lucas:  I know.  I’m not blaming anybody.  It’s just that now that I can come out of hiding, we learn that he’s dying of a brain tumor.  It’s not fair.  You know?
Lorna:  I know baby.  We’re gonna get through this okay.
Lorna hugs Devin Lucas.  Meanwhile, Charlie and Lindsay are walking from around the corner with department store shopping bags.
Lindsay:  Oh my God this felt so good.  I just had to get those shoes.
Charlie:  I had no idea what to get for Carl’s party.  I loved that dress you picked out.
Lindsay:  It will look great on you.  Kirkland’s gonna love it, too.
    Charlie:  Thank you.
Lindsay:  No...you’re the one I should be thanking.  You got me out of the house.  You got my mind off my situation.
Charlie:  It’s good to see you smiling.
Lindsay:  I haven’t had much to smile about lately.
Charlie:  Linds don’t let this set you back.  You can come back from this.
Lindsay:  I’m so happy you came.  You’re the only one who doesn’t tiptoe around me.  Worried they’re gonna say the wrong thing.
Charlie:  I take it you’re talking about your mom and Gregory.
Devin Lucas and Lorna release each other from their embrace and someone catches his eye.
    Devin Lucas:  Mom?
    Lorna:  Yep.
Devin Lucas:  That’s my niece isn’t she?
Lorna:  Charlie Winthrop Harrison.  Yep that’s Frankie’s daughter.
Devin Lucas isn’t focused on Charlie.
Devin Lucas:  Who’s that with her?
Lorna:  That’s her cousin Lindsay Winthrop.
Devin Lucas:  I think it’s time we’re formally introduced.
Devin Lucas gently passes his mother and heads toward Charlie and Lindsay.  Meanwhile, Gregory, drinking a bottle of water, walks up to Lorna, who is watching Devin Lucas.
    Gregory:  Lorna?
    Lorna:  Hi?
    Gregory:  It’s Gregory.
Lorna:  Gregory Hudson.  John and Sharlene’s son?
My God you’re all grown up now.  You were yay big the last time I saw you.
Gregory:  What are you looking at?
    Lorna:  My son.
Gregory:  Why is he going over toward my girlfriend?
Gregory tosses his empty bottle of water in the garbage, and Lorna puts a glove on, retrieves the bottle, and puts it in her purse.  Meanwhile, Devin Lucas approaches Charlie and Lindsay.
    Devin Lucas:  Shopping?
    Charlie:  Yeah.
Devin Lucas:  Hey aren’t you my niece?
    Charlie:  Huh?
Devin Lucas:  Oh I’m sorry.  I’m Devin Lucas Hutchins.
Charlie:  Hutchins?  That’s my grandfather’s last name.
Devin Lucas:  Your grandfather is my father.
    He turns to Lindsay.
    Devin Lucas:  And you are?
    Lindsay:  I’m Lindsay.
Devin Lucas:  Good to meet you.
Devin Lucas extends his right hand, and Lindsay extends her right hand through the handles of the shopping bag, and they shake.
Devin Lucas:  You must be shopping for my dad’s party tomorrow night.
    --------------------------------------------------------
    CORY MANSION
Carl answers the door and sees Russ Matthews.
Carl:  Dr. Matthews.  Come on in.  Please.
Russ:  This place hasn’t changed at all.
They walk into the living room.
Carl:  Ohh this place holds a lot of history.  I’m going to miss it.
Russ:  I came to give you some painkillers.
Carl:  No...Dr. Matthews.  I’m going to go out with grace and dignity.
Rachel walks toward the living room doors, leans on the archway, and smiles as she sees Russ and Carl.
Russ:  Carl these will ease the pain.  I know the tumor is growing quickly.
Carl:  Somehow I feel I...deserve it.  Especially after all the pain I’ve caused everyone else over the years.
Rachel:  Don’t talk like that.  You’ve atoned for all of that.
Russ:  Rachel’s right.  Your party is tomorrow.  Let’s focus on that.
    Rachel:  I agree.
Carl:  I can’t help but to think how things could have been different for everyone if I weren’t so evil.  Especially Cass and Frankie.
    -----------------------------------------------------
    AT THE WINTHROPS
Christy has just made an unexpected visit.
Cass:  What the hell are you doing here?  How dare you show your face at my house?
Christy:  I know this is...this is unexpected.
    Cass:  And unwelcome.
Christy:  But I’ve made a decision and I thought that Mary Frances would be the first person I told.
Cass:  Why don’t you go back to hell where you came from and send a letter?
    Frankie:  Let her in.  Please.
    Cass:  Frankie---
Frankie:  Let her in.  What is it that you have to tell us Christy?
Christy (walking in):  Thank you so much Mary Frances.  You’ve always been so good to me.
Cass:  Say what you have to say and get the hell out!
Christy:  I’m gonna do that Cass, all the way out of town.  I’m leaving Bay City.

    PART 2
    Jake:  How has she been?
    Stacey:  She’s been depressed.
Jake:  Well that was to be expected right?  Especially after what she found out.
Stacey:  Yeah but she hasn’t left the house in three days.  She hasn’t even showered or put on regular clothes.
Jake:  Stacey you’re overreacting.  She’s not gonna stay like that forever.
Stacey:  I hate seeing her like that Jake.  That’s not her.  That’s not the Lindsay I raised.  That’s not the Lindsay that came to Bay City determined to find you.
Jake:  Sounds like she’s gonna need professional help.
Stacey:  It sounds like she needs her father.  Jake she needs you.
Jake:  Of course I will do whatever to help our daughter get through this, but I can’t help with any depression, and honestly I think Lindsay’s gonna snap out of it on her own.  She’s a very strong willed girl.
Stacey:  I hope so.  I truly hope so.
    Jake:  Come here.
    Jake hugs Stacey.
Jake:  We’re gonna get through this.  Where’s Lindsay now?
    Stacey:  She’s home.
    Jake:  I’ll go see her...okay?
    Stacey nods her head.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    Lorna:  Lindsay Winthrop’s your girlfriend?
    Gregory:  Yeah.
Lorna:  Well I’m sure when Devin Lucas finds out he’ll back off.
Gregory:  She looks very comfortable with him.
Lorna:  Is that a bad thing?
Gregory:  She’s been pushing me away.
Meanwhile, Devin Lucas talks to Lindsay and Charlie.
Charlie:  Uncle Devin as a matter of fact we were.
Lindsay:  Yep, the shopping was soooo therapeutic.  You know this girl, my cuz, it’s like she’s my sister.  She knew exactly what I needed.
Devin Lucas:  Well, does she know that you need an escort, too?
Lindsay notices Gregory out of the corner of her right eye and it gets her attention.
Gregory:  I hope my girl let’s me bring her to Carl’s party.
    Charlie:  Hey Gregory.
Gregory immediately turns to Devin Lucas.
Gregory:  I’m Gregory Hudson...and you are?
    Devin Lucas:  Devin Lucas Hutchins.
The two exchange a firm handshake.
Lindsay:  Gregory, we were shopping for the party at the Cory’s tomorrow.
Gregory:  You don’t have to explain.  Looks like you’re feeling better.
Lindsay:  I...I just went shopping with Charlie---
Gregory:  Hit me up later okay.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
Cass:  You’re leaving town?  That’s great, but why now?
Christy:  I had to make sure that my child was okay.
Frankie:  Eric seems like a strong guy.
Christy:  I missed a lot of time with my son because of Douglas, and I just wanted to stick around and make sure that he was going to be fine.  I’m not certain that he’s gonna wanna come with me when I leave.
Frankie:  Well I’m glad you made this decision.  I’m sure wherever you go you’ll be able to start fresh without anyone judging you.
Christy:  I wonder how that even feels.  Here I’m the killer who got a governor’s pardon.
Cass:  That shoe fits you well.
Christy:  I completely understand why you feel the way you do Cass.
    Cass:  Don’t patronize me.
Frankie:  Cass.  Listen, Christy whatever you decide I’ll support you.
Christy:  Thank you Mary Frances that means so much to me.

    Outside the front door, Frankie
rings the doorbell as she waits with Cass and Charlie.

Frankie: I wonder what Carl wanted.

Cass: Maybe he wants to get to know his daughter.

    Charlie: And his granddaughter.

Frankie: I’ve been bad. I haven’t even reached out to him since he got back.

Cass: Maybe this is the perfect opportunity for you to bond.

    Matt
opens the door, and Frankie hugs him.

    Matt: Wow...what was that for?

Frankie: I never thanked you did I?

    Matt: For what?

Frankie: I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you.

    Carl
and Rachel walk up to them.

    Carl: Thank God.

    BAY CITY CENTER

Reporters gather and set near their chairs while Grant
is near the podium. He is signaled by Christy. They slink off into a secluded corner.

Grant (whispering): What the hell is wrong with you? We can’t be seen together!

Christy: Is that any way to treat the lady who’s gonna get your lady for you?

Grant: I have a press conference shortly. What is it?

    Christy: This is everything.

    Grant: Everything?

Christy: Everything you’re going to need to get Jack away from Paulina.

Christy gives him a jump drive.

Christy: I had all the evidence moved to this.

Grant: Hmm. How do I know this is what I’m looking for?

Christy: Well you’ll need to look at it won’t you? Hurry, you’ve got a press conference coming up.

Christy sneaks away unseen by anyone.

    -----------------------------------------

    POLICE STATION

    Paulina
    walks into Jack’s office.

Jack: Hi. Sorry. I didn’t mean to keep you waiting. Just making all the detail was in place for Grant’s press conference at the Center.

    Paulina: Right.

    Paulina sighs nervously.

Paulina: So...what did you want to see me about? Could it have something to do with our kiss?

Jack closes the door and pulls Paulina into a kiss.

Jack: Now...what was that you asked me?

They continue to kiss, then Paulina stops him.

    Jack: Hey. Is everything okay?

Paulina has a flashback while looking at Jack’s face.

    (EPISODE 195)

Jake: Listen, just be careful okay. He’s going through a rough patch with his wife. Believe me, I know what those are.

Paulina: I’m going to help him through that.

Jake: I don’t think you’re considering the possibility that Jack could go back to Carly. You need to be ready for that.

Paulina flashes back to the present.

Paulina: We can’t do this. This isn’t right.

    PART 2

Grant is back at home, and he plugs in the contents of the jump drive that Christy gave him at the Center...and grins with pleasure...with Christy in the background.

    Grant: Gotcha Jack.

    Christy: What’s your next move?

    Grant: You first.

Christy: Well you know I can’t do that. You’ll have to wait just like everybody else.

Grant: Just know that whatever Jack and Paulina think they have, it’s going to be over.

    --------------------------------------------------------

    Jack: What do you mean?

Paulina: I’ve been doing some thinking. You’re still married to Carly.

    Jack: On paper.

Paulina: And you two have a long history together.

    Jack: So do we.

Paulina: And you have two daughters. I can’t come between everything you have with Carly.

    Jack: This is a competition?

Paulina: You still love her don’t you?

Jack: A part of me is always gonna love Carly.

Paulina: Is the same part thinking about going back to her?

    Jack: Where am I?

    Paulina: Here.

    Jack: Yes...with you. That’s who I wanna be with...you.

    Paulina smiles.

Jack: Carly is the mother of my children, but you are the woman I...I love.

Paulina: Jack? Did you just say…?

Jack: Paulina Cory Carlino, I love you.

    They kiss.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    AT THE CORYS…

Cass, Frankie, Charlie, Carl, Rachel and Matt are gathered in the living room.

Carl: Thank you for coming Frankie. Glad you’re here, too Cass. Charlie, my beautiful granddaughter.

    Frankie sighs nervously.

Frankie: I’m glad you called, but I can’t help but wondering what this might be about.

Cass: After all this time, you called Frankie to come over.

Carl: I owe you an apology. I owe you both...an apology.

    Frankie: I don’t understand.

Carl: I caused a lot of pain in your lives in the past...with what I did to Kathleen McKinnon.

Frankie: Especially the first time we met.

    Carl: I threatened Cass’s life.

Cass: Well Carl I can speak for Frankie and myself on that. We forgive you.

Carl: You just never know when...when you're time is. So you want to spend as much time as possible with the people you love. However, there’s something else. I wasn’t here for you when that stalker tried to kill you.

Matt: We’ll leave you three alone.

Rachel: I have some errands to run.

Frankie: No please. Stay...both of you, especially you Matt, and you, too Rachel. I wouldn’t have been able to reunite with Cass.

    Frankie clenches Cass’s right hand.

Frankie: I wouldn’t have been able to see Charlie get married. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you.

Matt: Frankie you don’t have to…

Frankie: Yes, Matt, I do. I never thanked you and Rachel...for saving my life.

Rachel: Dr. Wu saved your life. He gave you a life saving injection.

Matt: He came from Salem. I called him right before mom and I walked the grounds.

    Rachel: I heard you screaming.

Matt: We both did, but I didn’t want mom in danger, so I told her it was our old dog Adelaide.

Rachel: We had to let everything play out.

Matt: As we walked toward the ice house I knew the stalker was near when we heard him slam the door.

Frankie then begins to recall the events of that horrific night.

Frankie: I confronted him, and ripped his mask off. I couldn’t believe it was him. Then...I begged him not to kill me.

After Fax tried to kill me, I was only able to carve part of an F in the rock. After I hunched over, I felt an injection, but I.... I couldn’t move, but I was alive. I couldn’t say anything, I couldn’t do anything.

Matt: The drug that Dr. Wu gave you gives you the appearance that you were dead.

Rachel: It also slowed down your pulse.

Cass starts to rub Frankie back in support.

Cass: I was frantic. I knew you were in danger. I had no idea what to do.

Frankie: I’m so sorry Cass that I put you through that.

Cass: You didn’t do anything wrong honey.

Frankie: I heard you in the morgue when you were holding me. You told Felicia that you wanted to take me home. She and John talked you out of it, but I heard everything you said. Cass: Rachel, if you knew Frankie was alive, then why didn’t you tell us?

Charlie: Dad was devastated. I was, too. Why didn’t you say anything?

Rachel: Charlie, honey, If Fax had found out that your mother was still alive, he probably would have come after her or your father, or even you.

Matt: We couldn’t take that risk.

Rachel: Shortly after that, he was captured.

Cass: But Frankie you didn’t come back.

Matt: Fax Newman came from a very rich and powerful family.

Rachel: And a corrupt onee. We didn’t want to risk them doing anything to you because of their son.

Charlie: But you did come back...as Anne O’Donnell.

Matt: His family died before 1999, and it was safe for Frankie to come back.

Carl: And I’m very happy about that.

Carl gets an alert on his cell phone.

Carl: I’ll be right back. I have to take this.

    -------------------------------------------------

    OUTSIDE THE LIVING ROOM

Carl leaves through the glass double doors and looks at the alert on his cell phone which reads: TRANSFER COMPLETE. Then he makes a phone call.

Carl: It’s me. It’s finally over. It’s safe now.

    Bob gives them a paper.
Bob: I made some phone calls to my colleagues at Bay City General. Here it is.

Rachel: I think we’ve all had a long night. Let’s get a couple of rooms at the Lakeview and we’ll head to Bay City in the morning.
Michele: What if my great-grandfather finds us?
Rachel: He’s not gonna do anything. I won’t let him.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MONTICELLO POLICE STATION - Detective Jack Snyder walks in the precinct and Detective Casey Stoner greets him.
    Jack: Detective?
    Casey: We got her.
    Jack: Where is Margaret?
Casey turns around and shows Jack where she is. Margaret is sitting handcuffed to a desk.
Casey: She was about to inject Lisa McCleary with a strong sedative when we stopped her.
    Jack: Where is Lisa?
Casey: She’s unconscious. She can’t answer any questions, but she’s in a safe place now.
The detectives turn their attention to Margaret Allen.
Casey: You can question her if you want.
Jack: I don’t want to intrude on your jurisdiction.
Casey: It’s no problem. The suspect hasn’t been too cooperative.
Margaret: Don’t I get a phone call? I get one phone call.
Jack: You’re gonna call your boss?
Margaret: I hope you don’t think I’m gonna give him up because I’m not. I’m not saying a word without my attorney present.
Jack: Go ahead . Make your call.
The three stare at each other.
Margaret: May I have some privacy please?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAY CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT - Toni is on the phone with her back turned to the door with Etta Mae next to her.
Toni: He told me to call you. How fast can you get there? Okay. You can’t tell anyone that about this. Thank you.
    Etta Mae: Who was that?
Toni: Ma we’re gonna get KC out of there.
Etta Mae: You can’t guarantee that.
Toni: Nothing in life is mama, but I’m doing everything I can.
Etta Mae: Get my granddaughter back.
Toni: And she’s my daughter. We’re gonna get her back. I promise.
Toni takes a key off of her key ring.
Toni: Go to my house and get some rest. I will be in touch as soon as I hear something. I’ll walk you out.
Toni walks Etta Mae to the front, and Allen walks in.
Allen: Toni we gotta talk right now. Please.
Etta Mae: Baby you ain’t gotta say nothing…
Toni: No mama. We have to talk. It’s long overdue.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAVANAUGH CLINIC - Reginald comes up to KC, who is still bound and gagged. He takes the gag off, and unties her. Reginald walks back to his desk, sits down, and watches as KC makes a run for the door, but can’t get out.

Reginald: As you’ve just figured out, the door’s locked.
K.C.: Let me out of here….please.
Reginald: Why are you so quick to leave? Don’t you wanna get to know your great grandfather? K.C.: What the hell are you talking about?
Reginald: I suppose Toni and Etta Mae never told you. We’re family.
K.C. gives Reginald a puzzling look as Reginald shoots a smug smile back.

    PART 2
LAKEVIEW HOTEL - Rachel, dressed in a white nightgown, and Carl, wearing gray silk pajamas, are in their room. Rachel is at the vanity mirror brushing her hair while Carl lies across the bed, gazing at his wife.
Carl: Did I ever tell you?
    Rachel: Tell me what honey?
Carl: I absolutely adore the way you brush your hair.
    Rachel chuckles.
Rachel: After all these years you still make me blush.
Carl: I guess I always thought you were beautiful.
Rachel: Did you now? When did this begin?
Rachel puts the brush down, and walks to the bed. Carl moves over to the left side of the bed, and gets under the covers. Rachel gets under the covers on the right side. Carl wraps his arms around her, and Rachel snuggles comfortably in them.
    Carl: Uh I don’t know.
Rachel: Oh you know. You just don’t wanna tell me.
Carl: I’m not afraid to tell you. You know how beautiful you are.
Rachel: I know that, but it does help to hear it from my husband.
Carl: And you’re gonna hear it for the rest of your life.
Rachel: Why don’t you show me how beautiful you think I am?
As Carl gets ready to kiss Rachel, someone knocks on the door.
Rachel: Did you call room service honey?
    Carl: No.
Suddenly, they hear Michele as she knocks.
Michele: Mr. and Mrs. Hutchins it’s Michele!
Rachel and Carl look at each other with waiting for the other to get the door, and a bit frustrated as their attempt to make love is interrupted. Rachel puts on a terrycloth robe and opens the door.
Rachel: Michele honey are you okay?
Michele: No. I couldn’t sleep. Can I come in?
    Rachel: Um...uh...sure. Come on in.
Michele walks in and notices Carl, and then makes a realization.
    Michele: Oh...Oh I’m so sorry.
Carl: No my dear it’s okay.
Rachel: Carl’s right. You’ve been through a terrible ordeal. Of course you can stay honey.
    Michele: I’m afraid.
    Rachel: Of what?
Michele: That Reginald is gonn try to take me away again. I heard he tried to kidnap my sister.
Rachel and Carl look at each other wondering whether they should tell Michele what Reginald did.
Rachel: Hey are you hungry? I can call room service.
Michele: I’m not hungry. Did Reginald try to kidnap my sister?
    Rachel: Yes...yes he did.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MONTICELLO POLICE STATION - Jack walks up to Margaret.
    Jack: Are you done?
Margaret: Yes I’m done. My attorney should be showing up soon.
Jack: In the meantime we’re gonna hold you. I’m gonna call Casey.
Margaret: After my lawyer gets here, I’ll tell you where my boss is. Well, there she is.
A woman with red high heeled shoes, and a matching red sparkled dress, sashays into the precinct.
Margaret: Your highness. It’s a honor to be graced with your presence.
Jack: Are you an attorney or royalty?
Margaret: Both. She’s not only my attorney, she’s the queen. Pay your respects!
    The woman is Cecile DePouglinac.
Cecile: You don’t know who I am?
    Jack: Um...no.
Margaret: You must live under a rock detective.
Cecile: I am the Queen of Tanquir. It’s not too far from Montega. Sierra and I have fostered a great working relationship between our two countries.
    Jack: Sierra Montgomery?
    Cecile: Yeah duh.
Margaret: I will tell them where my boss is.
Cecile: No need for you to do that. I’ve already called the police, and they’ll be picking him up any minute now.
Jack: Not so fast. How am I gonna verify who you are?
    Casey walks up to them.
Casey: I’ve made all the phone calls. It checks out. She is who she says she is, and I’ve got men on the way to the Cavanaugh Clinic to pick up Reginald Love now.
    Cecile smiles with apparent victory.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toni shuts her office door after Allen enters.
    Allen: Have you heard anything?
Toni: No, but we both know you’re not here to talk about the kidnapping.
Allen: I’m here to talk about K.C.
Toni: Why? You don’t know about anything about her!
Allen: Toni you dont’ have to be hostile toward me.
Toni: Yes I do! You left our marriage because you wanted to find your mother. I was devastated. I had to stay with my mother because of what you did!
Allen: I thought you understood. I thought I had a lead on Nicole.
Toni: Instead you found your bastard of a grandfather, and he made you his lackey just like he did to his own son.
Allen: He said he knew where my mother was.
Toni: Oh yeah the same woman he was keeping locked up at Pinehaven! He used it against you! You left your family behind, and I’m still mad as hell about it!
Toni’s eyes being to well up with anger.
Allen: Toni I am so sorry for hurting you, but you knew I grew up in boarding schools, and then in the Montgomery’s house with Priscilla. I needed a sense of family.
Toni: I was your family. We were your family.
Allen: We? Who else? You said you lost our baby.
    Toni: I lied.
    Allen: You what?
Toni: I lied Allen! I had our baby, and now your sadistic, crazy ass grandfather has her!
Allen is shell shocked and his eyes are welling up.
Allen: That girl...K.C. I saw you in the Center with..she’s our daughter?
Toni: And if we don’t find Reginald, we might never see her again.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
K.C.: What the hell are you talking about? I don’t know you.
Reginald: No you don’t know me.
K.C.: I’ve heard of you, here and there.
Reginald: Apparently, you haven’t heard the truth either.
    K.C.: The truth from whom?
    Reginald: Your mother.
K.C.: What would my mother lie to me about?
Reginald: You young people need everything spelled out for you huh. I often had to do that with your cousins Bridget and Michele.
K.C.: What is in this for you? Why are you all mysterious? Just ell me. What did my mother and my sister not tell me?
Reginald: You see that’s what they didn’t tell you. Your mother and your sister lied to you. They’re not your mother and your sister.
K.C.: What? You’re deranged. You’re crazy, now let me the hell out of here!
The Monticello police kick the door in with their guns drawn. Reginald stands up, puts his hands where the officers can see them, and smiles.
Reginald: Oh...Monticello Police. I’ve been expecting you.

    PART 1
GRANT’S MANSION - Grant opens the door and greets Kirkland.
    Grant: Hey son.
    Kirkland: You called?
Grant: How do you feel about your upcoming nuptials?
Kirkland: Feel great. Thank you for your blessing. I know I don’t deserve it after the way I’ve treated you.
Grant: I love you son, no matter what, and I will always support you. Have you told Victoria?
Kirkland: I haven’t gotten around to telling mom yet.
Grant: I’m not just talking about the wedding. I’m concerned about you son.
Kirkland: Dad I really don’t wanna talk about that!
Grant: You can’t keep that bottled up. You have to tell your mother and Charlie, because you don’t want them finding out from someone else.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAY CITY CENTER - Vicky sits at a table flashing back to Donna telling her that if she doesn’t tell Jake about Lindsay being his daughter, her marriage will be over, then Jack approaches her.
Jack (sitting down): This is where I found you last time, and you looked like something was on your mind then, too.
Vicky: But it looks like you’re the one who could use a friend right now.
    Jack: Yeah...yeah you’re right.
    Vicky: What’s going on?
Jack: Carly asked for a separation.
Vicky: Oh no. I’m so sorry about that.
Jack: I have to deal with that AND Grant Harrison. How did you do it?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
P.I. OFFICE - Frankie walks in, turns the lights on, and sees Jake with his feet up on his desk.
Frankie (startled): Whoa Jake. Why are you sitting in the dark?
Jake: I came here to think, and since business has been slow lately, I suppose you did, too.
Frankie (sighing): Maybe I’ll dig up some cold cases.
Jake: Nope, first you gotta tell me what’s bothering you, and I bet it has something to do with Cass.
Frankie: You think you’re so perceptive. I mean, not everything that bothers me involves Cass.
    Jake: Yeah suuuure.
Frankie: Okay okay. Yes Cass and I are on opposite sides of the river.
Jake: Well that can’t be good. I know Christy Carson’s parole hearing is close. You two need to be united in keeping her in prison.
Frankie: That’s just it. I don’t think she deserves to stay there.
    Jake: But Cass does.
Frankie: Right. He was furious when I told him that Christy and I were writing each other and that I was visiting her.
Jake: Well understandably so after what she did to you and Cass.
Frankie: Well after seeing her and talking to her, I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Jake: You sound like Vicky after Marley locked her up for weeks in a cold basement. I had to see for myself that Marley was sorry and that she changed.
    Frankie: I think Christy’s changed.
Jake: Well, you can tell Cass that until your face turns royal blue, but he’s gonna have to see it for himself for him to believe you.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MENTAL INSTITUTION FOR THE CRIMINALLY INSANE - A guard is escorting Christy to the visitors area.
Christy (elated): I’m so happy that Mary Frances came to see me. My parole hearing is this week you know. She’s gonna help me get out of here.
They arrive at the visitors area, the guard opens the door, and Christy is shocked to see Cass.

    PART 2
Grant: Your secret’s safe with me, but you should tell Victoria and Charlie as soon as possible. Believe me, you don’t want to start a marriage with secrets.
Kirkland: Mom doesn’t have to know that I was with Scott Granger back at school.
Grant: Son if they find out another way, it will only end badly.
Kirkland: Dad why is this so important to you?
Grant (putting his hands on Kirkland’s shoulders): I don’t want you to live a lie. I want you to be better than I was when it came to women, or whomever you want to be with.
Kirkland: I want to be with Charlie! I love her. I would never hurt her, and telling her about Scott would do just that.
Grant: You’re walking a tightrope with two ton bricks in your pocket.
    Kirkland’s phone vibrates.
    Kirkland: I gotta take this.
    Grant: Is that him?
    Kirkland: See ya later dad.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vicky: Words can’t begin to describe it. He pulled every stunt he probably could think of to get full custody of Kirkland.
Jack: Shooting himself and framing you for it takes the cake.
Vicky: Why are you asking me about Grant?
Jack: He’s trying to keep me and Paulina apart.
Vicky: They got back together right?
Jack: No, not according to her.
Vicky: He must think there’s a chance between them, and he views you as a threat.
Jack: Clearly he’s no good for her.
Vicky: There’s nothing Grant won’t do to get what he wants. I’ve seen it and lived it. You better be ready for him.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grant is on his cell phone.
Grant: I will be there to get it. Thanks.
    He hangs up.
Grant (smiling): Oh Detective Snyder, you’re gonna learn that you shouldn’t stand in the way of what I want.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christy: I’m...I don’t know what to say.
Cass: Were you expecting someone else?
    Christy: Not really no.
Cass: I know that Frankie has been here to see you, and that you two have been sending letters to each other.
    Christy: She told you that?
    Cass: Why wouldn’t she?
Christy: Well I know you two aren’t married anymore.
Cass: That has nothing to do with it. She seems to think that you’ve changed.
Christy: I’ve gotten help since I’ve been here, and I can assure you that I’m not the same woman who did all those horrible things to you and Mary Frances.
Cass: I had to come out here, and see for myself what Frankie was talking about, and I don’t believe it for one second. What’s your angle Christy?
Christy: I’ve paid the price for Douglas’s murder. I deserve a second chance just like anyone else.
Cass: Not you. You forgot about your Oscar winning performance at the hospital when Douglas died, framing Frankie for his death, and trying to poison me.
Christy: I’m truly truly sorry for what I did. I don’t know what else to tell you.
Cass: You calculated and planned to get Douglas and Frankie out of the way so you can get to me.
Christy: I...I hope someday you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me as Mary Frances has. I mean isn’t that what you want to teach Charlie? That people can change?
Cass: YOU don’t utter my daughter’s name of your mouth! You haven’t changed at all!
    Cass gets up…
Christy: You don’t mean that Cass. You should follow Frankie’s example. She’s the sweetest, kindest person I know, and I’m sure Charlie is, too, and it will be better for all of you if you gave me another chance.
Cass: You SHUT UP! I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure you stay locked up for the rest of your life.

    PART 1
    STACEY’S APARTMENT
Lindsay is lying down on the couch dressed in her blue pajamas and Stacey walks into the living room.
Stacey:  Look Lindsay you can’t lie around and be depressed about this forever.
Lindsay:  Oh you’re a shrink now.  I guess you’re gonna ask me how it makes me feel?
Stacey:  Sarcasm isn’t gonna help you right now.
Lindsay:  You wanna know how it makes me feel don’t you?  Do you wanna how a hysterectomy makes me feel?  I’m nothing.  I feel...empty.  I’m never gonna have a child!  I feel worthless.
Stacey:  If that’s your attitude then that’s what’s gonna happen.  There are other ways you can have children.
Lindsay:  Oh wait, you’re gonna tell me I can adopt.  You know what’ll happen?   I’ll attach myself to the child until the birth mother decides she wants to come and take custody, and I will have no choice but to give the child back to its natural mother.  You see, natural mothers have more power; biological mothers hold all the cards.  I will never be anyone’s biological mother.
Stacey:  And how long are you gonna down about it?  How long are you gonna sit here and feel sorry for yourself?  You’re better than that Lindsay.  You’re stronger than that!
Lindsay:  You’re really something aren’t you?  You’re gonna tell me how I should feel?
Stacey:  Of course not honey.  I want you to get through this, but moping around, having a pity party, that’s not you.  That’s someone else, and whoever that person is has taken my daughter, and I’m gonna get the real you back, no matter what I have to do.
Lindsay:  You want me back mom?  How about you and Gregory stop treating me like a delicate, porcelain trinket?
Stacey:  We can help you if you let us.
    Stacey’s eyes well up.
Stacey:  I love you so much.
Stacey leaves out the front door.  Outside she leans her back on the wall next to the door, and looks up at the ceiling.
Stacey:  My God what am I gonna do?
    Michael walks up.
    Michael:  You alright?
Stacey runs up and hugs Michael.
    Stacey:  No.  Not at all.
Michael:  Worried about your daughter huh?
    Stacey:  Yeah...very.
    Michael:  Are you headed out?
Stacey:  Yeah I’m..I was headed to the office.
Michael:  Why don’t we...go somewhere?  To the Center maybe?
Stacey: Yeah...I have a few minutes.  Sure.
    As they walk away slowly.
Michael:  Guess we’re both worried huh?
Stacey:  You must be worried about...Lindsay’s sisters.
    Michael:  Yep, Bridget and Michele.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
    AT THE MCKINNONS
Vicky and Michele are in the living room.
Michele:  And I’ve been thinking a lot about it and...it’s time for me to go tell Bridget that I forgive her, and for us to be sisters again.
Vicky:  Honey, that is the best news I’ve heard all day.  So proud of you.
    Vicky hugs Michele.
    Michele:  Thanks mom.
Vicky:  Can I ask you a question?
    Michele:  Sure.
Vicky:  Did you...cut yourself with those scissors in the hospital?
    Michele flashes back.
    (EPISODE 191)
Michele turns around, and walks to the counter slowly. She secretly grabs a pair of gauze scissors and starts digging them into her left arm until she draws blood.
Michele flashes back to the present.
    Michele:  That’s...that’s not important.
Vicky:  So Bridget did attack you?
Michele:  Whatever Bridget did, I forgive her.
Vicky:  I always knew that you would do the right thing.  You always did.  That’s my girl.  If you were angry at Bridget, I knew you would eventually would try to resolve your differences.
Michele: And I’m gonna head over to the Love Mansion to let her know.
    ---------------------------------------------
    LOVE MANSION
Donna walks to the foyer and sees Bridget and Cory coming downstairs.
    Donna:  Cory?  Bridget?
    Cory:  Hi Donna.
Donna:  Cory what were you doing upstairs?
Cory looks at Bridget who is a step behind him.
    Donna:  You two...in my house?
    Cory:  I can explain…
Bridget:  Explain what Cory?  My grandmother seems to have figured out what happened.  We slept together.
Donna:  Cory can you let Bridget and I talk please?
    Cory:  I’m gonna...head home.
    Bridget:  I’ll call you.
They kiss and Donna turns her attention to Bridget.
    Bridget:  Where’s grandpa?
    Donna:  He went out.
Bridget:  Well I’m gonna go see dad.
Donna:  Not now you’re not.  In the living room...now!  You’re reminding me of your mother.
    --------------------------------------------------------
Vicky is curled up on the living room couch and her arms folded.  She looks at the divorce papers on the coffee table, and has a flashback…
    (EPISODE 207)
Jake:  Vicky you need to face the truth.  Ever since Michele’s accident we haven’t been the same since.
    Vicky:  We got past that.
Jake:  Then you knew about Lindsay being my daughter and you didn’t tell me.
Vicky:  I was trying to protect our family!
Jake:  But you didn’t did you?  I don’t trust you Vicky.  Ever since you kept the truth about Lindsay from me, I have a hard time trusting you.
Vicky flashes back to the present, and uncurls herself from the couch and sits up and sighs.
Vicky:  What am I gonna do?
Suddenly, someone gently places his hand on her right shoulder, and she touches it, as if the feeling is familiar to her.  She looks up...
    Vicky:  You?
Vicky sees a smiling Ryan Harrison, dressed in street clothes.

    PART 2
AT THE CENTER...Michael and Stacey are sitting at a table across from each other.
Stacey:  I don’t know what else to do Michael.  I hate seeing her like this.
Michael:  It’s getting to you isn’t it?
Stacey:  I’m used to seeing her alive; on the go; determined.  I mean she came to Bay City all on her own to find Jake.  This person that I’ve been seeing the last few days...that’s not my daughter.  You know?
    Michael:  I know.
Stacey:  I just wanna reach inside and take what’s bothering her out, so she can be herself again.
Michael:  Unfortunately there’s not much we can do about that.  We see our children going down a road that’s gonna lead them to hurt.  We do what we can do stop them, and we can’t.  Donna told me about Vicky and Shane Roberts all those years ago.
    Stacey:  I heard about that.
Michael:  My twin brother got killed an accident trying to stop her from sleeping with him.  I wasn’t there but I can identify with that feeling.
    Stacey:  Parental instinct I guess.
    They both chuckle.
Stacey:  Well I’m glad you decided to come see me.
Michael:  I needed a friend.  I mean...we’re still friends after all these years right?
Stacey:  You’re really worried your twin granddaughters huh?
Michael:  Yeah I didn’t wanna tell Donna.  She’s worried to the twentieth power, and if I show her that I’m worried I don’t think it would help.
Stacey:  Well you know Donna better than anyone.
Michael:  I should.  I married her four times right?
Stacey:  Right?  Well I gotta...get to the office.
Michael places his hand on Stacey’s.
Michael:  If you...need anything I’m here for you.  Okay?
She slips her hand from under his.
Stacey:  Sure.  Thank you.  I’ll keep that in mind.  So where are you headed now?
    Michael:  Home.
She smiles, steps away, and places a call on her cell phone.
Stacey:  Can you come to my office?  I need to talk to you.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
Donna and Bridget are sitting on the living room couch.
Bridget:  Are you gonna give me the talk?  Because I heard it from mom and dad already.
Donna:  You watch your attitude young lady!  I just hope you and Cory were responsible, and used protection.
Bridget:  Why wouldn’t have we used a condom?
Donna:  I don’t know Bridget.  You tell me.
Bridget:  Really?  You think I’m gonna do what mom did when she slept with Jake and Jamie Frame.  She didn’t know who Steven’s father was, and then a few years later she slept with Ryan and Grant, and again she didn’t know who Kirkland’s father was.
    Donna:  That’s not what I meant…
Bridget:  Come on Grandma Donna, of course it’s what you mean.   You think I’m gonna end up like mom.  I guarantee you I won’t be needing any DNA tests.
Donna:  So you did use protection?
Bridget:  Yes.  We used a condom.
Donna:  Thank God.  I’m relieved that you and Cory were responsible.  And you’re right...I don’t want you to be in the same situation that your mother was in.
    ------------------------------------------------------
Vicky and Ryan are hugging and she straddles his face.
    Vicky:  You look…
    Ryan:  Older?
Vicky:  I thought you guys don’t age up there.
Ryan:  This is how I’d look if I was still on earth.
Vicky:  You...came at the perfect time.  You’re gonna tell me how to put my family back together.
Ryan:  Come on Vick, you know I can’t tell you what to do.
Vicky:  Why not?  Haven’t you learned anything from your boss in twenty years?
Ryan:  Oh there she is.  Same ole Vicky I knew and loved.
Vicky:  You and I should have gotten married and had a family.  You were the man I loved.
Ryan:  So you regret the family and the life you built with Jake?
Vicky:  No...no that’s not what I’m saying at all.  It’s like our...plans got cut short by Grant.  I mean he spent years trying to get sole custody of Kirkland.
Ryan:  I know what my brother did.  You and I weren’t meant to be Vicky, but you and Jake were.  You two have a great family.
Vicky:  We don’t have anything anymore.  He wants a divorce.
    Ryan:  I know.

    ANOTHER WORLD 202

    Kirkland confronts Christy

    PART 1

Lindsay Hartley’s first episode as Maggie Winthrop.

    BAY CITY GENERAL

John Hudson is in his office on his computer, and he’s video chatting/interviewing with a candidate...Maggie Winthrop.

John: You’ve come a long way. I have to say, it will be strange calling you Dr. Maggie Winthrop.

Maggie: It’s strange myself. I didn’t know I had it in me. After things with Rafael and I didn’t work out, I decided to go to school. This has been so fulfilling.

John: I read your resume. Johns Hopkins huh?

Maggie: Yep. I made it through.

John: What made you change your name?

    Maggie: Cecile.

    John: I’ve heard the stories.

Maggie: Yeah either I’m Sandy Cory or Cass Winthrop. It usually depends on how she’s feeling and what she’s after.

John: And what day of the week it is.

    They both laugh.

John: I don’t see a reason why we can’t have you on board. As far as I’m concerned you’re hired.

Maggie: Means a lot coming from the Chief of Staff.

    John: Acting Chief of Staff.

    Maggie: Oh.

John: I had to apply for the position just like anybody else. Well I will email you the paperwork and just email it back and I’ll forward it to H.R. Welcome aboard.

Maggie: Great thank you. I will need a couple of weeks to get my things to Bay City.

John: Fair enough. I’ll be sure to let H.R. know that.

    Maggie: Thanks Dr. Hudson.

John: You’re very welcome Dr. Winthrop.

John ends the video chat and Sharlene gently. Her knock opens the door and she peeks in.

Sharlene: Oh I’m sorry if I’m interrupting.

John: No...no you’re never an interruption. I’m happy to see you, but I am surprised.

Sharlene: Did you talk to Gregory? He left the house kind of quick earlier.

John: No, but it’s a safe bet that he went to see Lindsay.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    STACEY’S APARTMENT

Stacey, fully dressed, walks into the living room, and sees Lindsay curled up wearing her pink pajamas and a pillow watching television.

Stacey: I’m headed to the office for a short while. I was wondering if you wanted to...meet me afterwards.

Lindsay doesn’t flinch, and continues to stare at the television.

    Lindsay: No.

Stacey: We could get those frozen yogurt pops that you like.

Lindsay: No thanks mom. I’m just gonna stay here.

Stacey: We could have mother daughter time like we used to.

Lindsay: I really don’t feel like it.

Stacey: Ok umm...if you need me I’ll be at the office.

    Lindsay: I know the number.

    Stacey: I love you honey.

Stacey kisses her daughter on the forehead and straddles her hair. She sighs with worry and walks out the door. Gregory walks up to her outside the apartment.

Stacey: Gregory I...didn’t know you were coming.

    Gregory: Hey uh...how’s Lindsay?

    Stacey purses her lips.

Stacey: Not unexpected. Go in and see.

Stacey opens the door and Gregory sees Lindsay staring at the TV, curled up in her pink pajamas with her pillow.

    Gregory: Hey.

    Lindsay looks at Gregory.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    CHRISTY’S SUITE

Christy returns and shuts the door, then she has a flashback...

    (EPISODE 197)

Christy: I thought we were past this.

Eric: Everybody looks at me like I got some kind of disease. Allen Love told his daughter to stay away from me because of what you decided we should do.

Christy: Honey I didn’t mean for any of that to happen. I just…

Eric: Wanted to push your own agenda. Whatever it is you’re trying to do, I don’t want any part of it.

She sighs in a bit of sadness, then she has another flashback...

Felicia: Your shenanigans have alienated your own son. You should do us all a favor and leave Bay City.

Christy: You know what Felicia you’re becoming a reeeeeal problem.

Felicia: Is that a veiled threat? I’m not afraid of you Christy. As long as I draw breath, I’m not gonna let you hurt anyone I care about.

Christy: Are you talking about Cass and Mary Frances?

Felicia: If you come after them, or anyone else I love, you will answer to me.

    Felicia leaves...and Christy watches.

Christy: Time to get Felicia out of the way.

She flashes back to the present, puts her key on the dresser, and sits at her desk. Someone rings the doorbell. After she opens the door, Grant barges in.

Christy: To what do I owe this visit?

Grant: You owe me a lot more than that. I gotta talk to you.

    Christy sighs in slight exasperation.

Christy: You’ve gotta talk to me. Let me guess...it’s about Paulina.

Grant: You won’t believe what I saw.

Christy: And what exactly did you see?

Grant: I went to her house with the jump drive.

Christy: You showed her what was on it?

    Grant: I didn’t get a chance to.

    Christy: Why not?

Grant: Because I saw her with Jack Snyder, and they weren’t playing solitaire.

Christy: Aww little miss muffet was making love to the detective?

    Grant: This isn’t funny.

Christy: You act like you’ve lost.

    Grant: I probably have.

Christy: You have enough evidence on that jump drive to break them up for good.

Grant: Oh believe me, I’m going to use it.

Grant suddenly gets a text on his cell phone, and subsequently.

Grant: A party? At the Corys?

Christy: You’re invited to a party at the Corys? The universe must be spinning off of its axis.

    ----------------------------------------------

MEANWHILE, at Kirkland’s suite, Kirkland looks at his phone, then Charlie looks at hers.

Kirkland: That’s weird. We got a text at the same time.

Charlie: It’s an invite to the Corys.

Kirkland: That’s what I got. Wonder what the occasion is.

Charlie: I guess we won’t know until we get there. Hey do you wanna meet up later?

Kirkland: I’m gonna stop at my dad’s for a quick second.

Charlie: Oh okay...well I’m gonna head out.

She kisses Kirkland on his lips.

    Charlie: See ya later.

After Charlie leaves. Kirkland has a flashback…

    (EPISODE 190)

Kirkland: Dad what is she doing here?

    Grant: Can’t I be charitable?

Kirkland: Charity? So you just gave this woman, who tormented Charlie’s parents, a place to live?

Grant: Are you saying that I am not giving? I’ll have you know that I give to a lot of organizations.

Kirkland: Yeah, especially to the ones that you can get a big tax write off for.

Grant: Did you learn comedy on your honeymoon?

Kirkland: Dad you never answered my question? What is Christy Carson doing here? I noticed you two made eye contact when she showed up uninvited at Tops.

Grant: Son I can’t get into that right now.

Kirkland: Come on dad. Are we gonna go down this road again? I read that her parole was denied. After that she gets out, and now she’s living here. What’s going on?

Grant: She’s....helping me to get Paulina back.

Kirkland: Are you on that again? Why would Christy help you to do that?

Kirkland flashes back to the present.

Kirkland: I’m gonna find out why.

CAMERA PAN ON KIRKLAND...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG

    -------------------------------------------------

    PART 2

Grant: You won’t be joking so much when I have Paulina.

    Christy: Ha!

Grant: And how’s your quest for Cass going?

Christy: Who says I’m trying to get Cass?

Grant: Christy come on. This is me you’re talking to. The only reason you stayed in Bay City is to get Cass...or get something from Cass.

Christy: Wow it’s amazing how often you’re wrong. Maybe you should use one of your lifelines to get the correct answer.

Grant: You stayed in Bay City because you want something from Cass. Hmmm I wonder what that is.

Christy: You stick to your plan, and I’ll stick to mine okay.

Grant: It’s got something to do with where you went right after I got the governor to pardon you.

Christy: Don’t you have some place else to be? Like getting Miss Muffet in your arms?

Grant: Oooh I’m getting warm aren’t I? Just where did you go Mrs. Carson?

Christy gets a reminder on her phone...and it has a date highlighted.

Christy: Wouldn’t you like to know?

    Grant: You know my secrets.

    Christy: No I don’t.

Grant: You think I’m going to blackmail you don’t you?

Christy: Grant I’m not afraid of your blackmail. My poker game is flawless, and I will play my trump card if I have to. Don’t take me there Harrison.

Grant: Well I need to go.

Christy: Thank God, although I can imagine what you’re going to do.

Grant: Work, that’s what I have to do.

Christy purses her lips as if she doesn’t believe him as Grant leaves. Christy doesn’t shut the door, and makes a phone call.

Christy: Did you find her? The day is getting close...and I’m gonna get what I want.

Christy turns around and there is Kirkland...standing at the door.

Christy: Kirkland...what are you doing here?

Kirkland: I’m gonna get to the point. What’s going on between you and my dad?

    Christy: And that’s your point?

Kirkland: Something’s not right. Why did my dad call in a favor to pardon you?

Christy: Didn’t you ask me this before?

Kirkland: You and your son showed up uninvited to my wedding reception after my dad helped you get out of prison.

Christy: And I apologized for that. What do you want me to do? Write it in blood?

Kirkland: It still wouldn’t be sincere.

Christy: Listen. It was in poor taste what I did, and again, I am sorry. I’m not sure what you want me to tell you.

Kirkland: My dad is paying for this suite isn’t he? You can’t afford this.

Christy: Now you know how much money I have?

Kirkland: Is my dad helping you to get back and Cass and Frankie? I’m not gonna let you do anything to hurt Charlie’s parents.

Christy: Ohhh aren’t you the dutiful son-in-law. I have no intention of hurting Cass or Mary-Frances.

Kirkland: You’re up to something, and I’m gonna find out what it is.

    Kirkland leaves.

Christy: Time to play my trump card...Kirkland.

    --------------------------

Sharlene: I really feel for her.

John: Yeah she’s so young, and she can’t have children, but we saved her life.

Sharlene: That’s the most important thing.

    There’s a silence and Sharlene interjects…

Sharlene: I got a text from Carl.

John: About a party at the Corys. I did, too. Come on Sharlene, something tells me that you didn’t come all the way up here to ask me about Gregory or talk about a text message.

Sharlene: You’re right. I was hoping we could talk. John: Is everything okay?

Sharlene: Well that depends on you.

    John: Me?

Sharlene: I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, and I...I wanna try.

    John: Try what?

    Sharlene: Working things out.

John smiles, gets up from his chair, and approaches his wife.

John: Do you know how long I’ve waited to hear those words? I’d absolutely love to.

    They embrace warmly.

    ------------------------------------

Gregory and Lindsay are awkwardly silent, as Gregory really doesn’t know what to say.

    Gregory: Um...can I getcha anything?

Lindsay: What are you gonna get me?

Gregory: I dunno. Are ya hungry? Or just some company?

Lindsay: How about a uterus? Can you get me that? Because I don’t have one, and I can’t have children. So excuse me if I’m a little pissed about that.

    Gregory: I understand…

Lindsay: Oh so you’ve had your uterus removed!

Gregory: They had to save your life.

Lindsay: I can’t have children Gregory! Do you wanna be with a woman who can’t have your children? Is that what you really want?

Gregory: I love you for you, not for what you can give me. I don’t care about that.

    Lindsay: You say that now.

Gregory: Lindsay don’t do this. Let me be here for you.

Gregory goes to touch Lindsay, but she turns away from him.

    Lindsay: Can you leave please?

    Gregory: Lindsay---

Lindsay: I’ll...I’ll call you. I just need to...be alone right now.

Lindsay tries to hold it together as Gregory goes to the door. After he leaves, she leans her back against the door and slinks down to the floor, crying.

    PART 1
    Jake and Stacey...
Jake: Do you need me to repeat the question?
Stacey: No Jake I heard it loud and clear, and I think we shouldn’t travel down this road.
Jake: You are so adamant about avoiding the subject. What are you hiding?
Stacey: What about Vicky and Bridget? You should focus on them. They are your family.
Jake: You are the woman I had an affair in Los Angeles.
Stacey: What do you want me to say?
    Jake: The truth!
Stacey: Are you sure you can handle it?
    Jake: Don’t patronize me!
Stacey: You want the truth! Well here it is! Yes I’m the woman you’re talking about.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    HOSPITAL - MITCH’S ROOM
    Felicia sits at Mitch’s bedside..
Felicia: Thank God you’re okay. How did this happen?
Mitch: I was trying to stop Janice.
Felicia: Just like in St. Croix over thirty years ago.
Mitch: It was like I was re-living it all over again. It was a letter opener this time.
Felicia: Wow. I thought Sharlene had been integrated.
    MItch: She had a relapse.
Felicia: Something really traumatic must have happened for this to occur again.
Mitch: All I know is that this alter had an ax to grind with Carl and Rachel.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    HOSPITAL - WAITING AREA

Rachel, Amanda, and Cory await Carl’s prognosis.
Amanda: I’m going to call Elizabeth.
Rachel: Wait. I don’t want her to worry.
Cory: Dad’s gotta pull through. We’ve had our differences but I don’t want him to die. I love him.
Rachel: He knows that honey. He never doubted that for a second.
A doctor walks in and approaches Rachel.

    PART 2
Stacey: Are you happy now? You got what you wanted! I’m the woman you were with in L.A.
Jake: Did you know who I was at the time?
    Stacey: Not at first.
Jake: When did you find out?
Stacey: Right before I got back together with Derek. He told who you were, and I broke things off with you and sent you back to Bay City.
Jake: You never bothered to call anyone here. Cass? Morgan?
Stacey: You had no recollection of who you were Jake.
Jake: Why did you keep it going? Why did you continue to see me?
Stacey: Derek and I had broken up, and you were there. Look you have a family. You need to turn your attention to that.
Jake: I’m not talking about my family right now. I’m talking about you and me. There’s more to this story.
Stacey: For God’s sake leave it alone!
Jake: You stayed away from Bay City for more than twenty years and all of a sudden you return?
Stacey: I wanted to be closer to my daughter.
Jake: Stacey dammit will you stop lying! Why….did you come back to Bay City?
    Stacey: Jake…
Jake: It has something to do with me doesn’t it?
Stacey: Stop it! Go home to your wife!
Jake: Why did you come back here?
Stacey: Because I’m still in love with you!
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Felicia: What score did Sharlene’s alter have to settle with Carl and Rachel?
Mitch: I have no clue, all I know is that I’m really concerned about Sharlene. She couldn’t hold off Janice anymore.
Felicia: What does that mean? You knew about it?
    Mitch: It...it makes sense.
Felicia: It doesn’t seem that anyone told John.
Mitch: I don’t think she wanted anyone to know.
Felicia: Sharlene was confiding in you about it? That seems odd. You should have told John. He’s Sharlene’s wife. He could’ve gotten her help.
Mitch: You’re awfully indignant about Sharlene not telling John that a new personality was trying to emerge.
Felicia: She told you about and didn’t even tell her husband. That’s not right. How could you do this? Why would Sharlene trust you and not her own husband?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doctor: We’ve managed to stabilize him and slow the effects of the neurotoxin.
Cory: Is he gonna recover from this?
Doctor: He’s gonna need additional treatment.
Meanwhile, Rachel slips off to the side while listening to the doctor, as if to think about what her next move might be. CAMERA PAN ON RACHEL AS THE DOCTOR IS TALKING…
    Amanda: What can you do?
Doctor: Unfortunately we don’t have the necessary medicine to help him completely get rid of the poison in his system.
Cory: What do you suggest? He can’t walk or talk. He’s like a vegetable. He can’t live the rest of his life like that.
    Rachel approaches them.
Rachel: He won’t Cory. I’m not gonna lose Carl again.
Rachel walks out of the waiting area and to a private corner on the hospital floor…

MONTGOMERYS HOUSE - Tyrone opens the door and it’s Vicky.
    Vicky: Hey Tyrone.
    Tyrone: What’s going on Vicky?
    Vicky: Where’s my sister?
Tyrone: Right there on the couch.
Vicky: Looks like you’re headed out.
Tyrone: Marley wants pickles and vanilla ice cream.
Vicky: Cravings. I know what that’s like.
    Tyrone: Yeahhhh. I’ll be back.
Tyrone leaves and Vicky goes to sit next to Marley on the couch.
    Vicky: How’s my nephew?
Marley: He’s giving me a sore stomach. Did your babies do that?
Vicky: Kirkland was a frequent kicker.
    Marley: What about the twins?
Vicky: I think my boys gave me good practice so I knew what to do when I got pregnant with the girls. You know Steven’s back.
Marley: Oh wow, and I know Kirkland’s about to get married.
    Vicky: Yes he sure is.
Marley: Dad’s back with Donna. I mean everything seems to be falling into place for the family, although I haven’t heard from Allen in a few days. I wonder what he’s up to.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAY CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT - Toni has just made a shocking revelation to Allen about K.C.
    Toni: Yes.
Allen: You...kept my daughter from me? Out of spite?
Toni: I couldn’t take care of her by myself.
Allen: So you gave her to Etta Mae to raise. If K.C. thinks that Etta Mae is her mother, and you her sister, then you lied to her, too. I wonder what she’s gonna think of you when she finds out.
    Toni: She’s not gonna!
Toni’s cell phone rings and she answers.
Toni: Oh my God. You found her? Alright.
Allen: Who was that? They found my daughter?

CAVANAUGH CLINIC - Joy faces Reginald in his office.
Joy: Does your word mean anything?
Reginald: Just because you did me a couple of favors doesn’t mean anything.
Joy: What are you talking about? I dove into the river and retrieved the gun that Donna shot you with. I burned down the Harbor Club. What more could you possibly want?
Reginald: Oh, there is something else.
Joy: What did Thomasina Todd ever do to you? She’s one of the sweetest, kindest people I know, and you made her sick. Who do you think you are? What makes you think you can play God with people’s lives?
Joy flashes back to the present and her flashback prompts her to make a phone call.
Joy: Thomasina it’s Joy. You sound a lot better. What did they give you? Well that’s...that’s almost miraculous. You just made my day. Thank you.
Joy hangs up and looks up and utters “thank you”. She then gets an alert on her phone and it reads “Breaking News: Reginald Love captured in Monticello.”
Joy: Wow. They got him. I gotta see this for myself.
Then Tyrone walks up behind her with a brown bag, and she turns around to face him.
    Tyrone: See what?
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
MONTICELLO POLICE STATION - Two officers escort K.C Burrell into the precinct, and then right after her, a handcuffed Reginald Love is brought in by two more officers. Reginald has a seemingly confident smirk on his face as Margaret, Cecile, Jack, and the other officers look at him.

    PART 2
Vicky: He just got a job at KBAY.
Marley: See I didn’t know that. I thought we were close.
Vicky: Maybe he’s just busy. I’m sure he’ll call you.
Marley: I wonder if he’s met dad.
    Vicky: I’m not too sure.
Marley: Did you get these cravings?
Vicky: Of course I did. I remember when Jake…
Vicky stops and gets up and takes a few a few steps away from the couch. Marley immediately picks up on Vicky’s mood.
    Marley: Vicky?
    Vicky: Marley?
Marley: Something’s wrong with you and Jake isn’t it?
Vicky: Whatever would give you that idea?
Marley: We’re twins remember? I feel it.
Vicky: Just like I felt it when you were gonna leave town, and I convinced you to stay.
Marley: I remember that, so now let me help you. Talk to me. What’s going on?
Vicky turns around and faces her sister again.
Vicky: Everything’s wrong. Jake and I are in trouble.
    Marley: What kind of trouble?
Vicky: I hope you and Tyrone’s marriage stays strong; something for me to look to, because I don’t know if Jake and I are gonna make it.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joy: Now that isn’t any of your business now is it?
Tyrone: No, but if you’re up to something, I wanna know about it. Enemies gotta stay close.
Joy: I wasn’t your foe when we were sleeping together was I?
Tyrone laughs and shakes his head.
Joy: Listen you’re fine and sexy and all, but this has nothing to do with you...not directly anyway.
Tyrone: Just like I thought. I’m gonna be watching you.
Joy gets face to face with Tyrone, and leans over to Tyrone’s left ear...
Joy (whispering): Careful, I might like that.
Joy looks at Tyrone seductively, smiles, and walks away.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MONTICELLO POLICE PRECINCT...Jack approaches K.C. whose arms are folded, and looking down at the floor.
Jack: We’re gonna need to take your statement Ms. Burrell.
    K.C.: Okay.
At that moment, Toni and Etta Mae walk in and run to K.C.
Etta Mae: Oh my God. My baby! Are you alright?
    Toni: Did Reginald hurt you?
    KC: No he didn’t.
Etta Mae hugs KC, but KC does not hug Etta Mae back, and Toni picks up on KC’s lack of response.
Etta Mae: I was so worried about you! When you didn't come home…
    KC: That’s...real sweet of you.
    Toni: We both were worried.
KC: I’m not coming back home. I’m not goin’ anywhere until you tell me the truth.
    Toni: Tell you what?
    Allen walks in.
KC: Reginald said that he and I were family. Is that true? Where’s my father?
    Allen: I’m right here.
KC, Etta Mae and Toni are shocked as Allen approaches KC…
Allen: My God. It’s really you. My daughter.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INTERROGATION ROOM...Cecile confers with her client Reginald.
Reginald: Toni wanted to see her daughter again.
Cecile: Yes I got on the jet as soon as she called.
Reginald: I’m glad you’re coming through for me.
Cecile: Yes I am. If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t be where I am.
    Reginald: You’d still be broke.
Cecile: Maggie’s trust fund money helped me become Queen of Tanquir again.
Reginald: So when are we getting outta here?
Cecile: Should be any minute now.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Casey approaches Jack outside the interrogation room with a paper and shows Jack.
    Casey: I got this fax.
    Jack: No. This can’t be.
Casey: I called them and spoke to a contact there. I had to do a double take my self.
Jack: After everything he has done, you mean to tell me we can’t hold him?
Casey: There’s only one thing we can do.
    Cecile approaches the disappointed detectives.
Cecile: Gentlemen, should I call my pilot?
Meanwhile, Joy sneaks past everyone and gets into the interrogation room to face Reginald, and shuts the door.
    Reginald: Joy Joy Joy.
    Joy: Did you do it?
    Reginald: The antidote?
Joy: Thomasina said she’s feeling better.
Reginald: Yes I called and they gave her the antidote.
    Joy: Then we’re even.
Reginald: No we’re not. I can get to her whenever I want.
Joy: So what does that mean? What else do you want me to do?
Reginald: I don’t have to tell you. I want to raise the next patriarch of my family, and you’re going to get him.
Joy: Where the hell am I supposed to get...no. You can’t make me do that.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, at the Montgomery’s, Tyrone walks in with his brown bag.
Tyrone: Hey babe I got your pickles and ice cream.
    Marley: Thank ya hun.
Vicky: I’ll give you two some privacy.
Tyrone: No it’s okay I got some work to do. I just wanna see how my little guy’s doing.
Tyrone sits next to Marley and rubs her stomach.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the Monticello Police Station Interrogation Room, Reginald gives instructions to Joy...

    Bridget: Ice cream bar?
Jake: Oh come on you know I won’t refuse that.
Bridget (giving him the ice cream): You and mom going to get counseling today?
    Jake: Yep.
    Bridget: That’s good right?
    Jake: I hope so.
Vicky comes to the top of the stairs and listens.
Bridget: You know I can’t help but feel responsible for where you and mom are at.
Jake: For the last time, it’s not your fault.
Bridget: If I hadn’t been fighting with Michele…if she hadn’t….
Jake: Don’t bring that up. We had problems before Michele died. It’s not your fault.
Vicky interrupts and joins them in the living room.
Vicky: Your father’s right. Stop blaming yourself honey. I was unfair to you, and I’m sorry.
Bridget: I just didn’t think that you…loved me as much as you loved Michele.
Vicky: That’s ridiculous. I love all my children equally.
Jake: Well we better get going or we’re going to be late.

    Cass: Hey. What’s going on?
Stacey: I’m fine. I’m just wondering if you’ve seen my daughter.
Cass: Lindsay’s been here the whole time.
Stacey: She hasn’t returned any of my phone calls recently.
Cass: I don’t understand this animosity that you two are having right now. What’s going on?
Stacey: I’ll explain everything when I get there?
Cass: You’re coming to Bay City?
Stacey: Getting on the plane now.

    Vicky: Yeah I suppose so.
Jake: Why can’t I take notes?
Vicky: Usually you would take a pen and paper to class, not to a marriage counseling session.
    Jake: I guess I can’t stop being a reporter.

Lindsay: That’s sweet of you Uncle Cass, but it’s really not that serious.
Cass: I didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday. I know there’s something going on between you and Stacey, and I hope that when she gets here, we will figure out what’s going on.

Charlie: You did this because your resentment toward your father is consuming you.

    Charlie: Because it is.
Kirkland: I’m falling in love with you Charlie. I do not want to hurt you.

    PART 1
    MONTICELLO POLICE STATION
Allen has just discovered KC, his daughter. Toni and Etta Mae are with them. Allen slowly walks up to her, seemingly not knowing how to react to seeing K.C. for the first time.
Allen: My God. It’s really you. My daughter?
    K.C. backs away.
    K.C.: I don’t...know you.
    Etta Mae intervenes…
    Etta Mae: You’re scaring her.
Allen: We were robbed of all those years together. Toni and Etta Mae did that.
Etta Mae: This isn’t the place to talk about this. Why don’t we go home?
Allen: Why? So you and Toni can figure out more ways to keep me from my daughter!
Toni: KC you need to give your statement to Casey.
K.C.: Will you all stop it? I’m not a toy in your sandbox!
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Jack and Casey discuss Reginald.
Jack: This isn’t happening right now. He murdered Evan Frame; kidnapped Bridget McKinnon and K.C. Burrell, and you mean to tell me he’s gonna get away with it?
Casey: Reginald and his accomplice Margaret are citizens of Tanquir, so all we can do is have them deported.
    Cecile interrupts.
Cecile: That’s correct gentlemen. So it’s time for you to release my clients into my custody.
Jack and Casey look at Cecile, knowing that they have no choice but to comply.
Casey: You will get a police escort to the airport.
Cecile: The flight plan has been filed, and I can assure you that Reginald and Margaret will be flown to Tanquir.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WINTHROPS HOUSE - Cass walks into the living room and sees Frankie.
Frankie: Everything is clean. All the trash is by the door, but you’re gonna have to take it out. I’m not taking out the trash.
Cass: I will take out the garbage.
Frankie: You don’t have to do it right now.
Cass: What do you want me to do now?
    Frankie smiles.
Frankie: Do I have to show you everything?
    They kiss passionately.

AT THE MONTICELLO AIRPORT - Reginald, Cecile, and Margaret on Cecile’s jet.
Margaret: I’m going to the ladies’ room.
Cecile: I hear there’s a storm coming. Why is the Monticello Police outside?
Reginald: Detective Casey Stoner is just making sure that I don’t try to give them the slip.
Cecile: It’s just as well. It’ll give me the chance to…
    Cecile stops herself…
Reginald: Do you want to finish your sentence or should I?

AT THE BLAKES, Mitch confronts Felicia about what Gregory said at the institution...
Felicia: What are you talking about?
Mitch: I heard you were running around town helping John find Michael.
Felicia: Who did you hear that from?
    Mitch: That’s not important.
    Felicia: John is a friend.
    Mitch: Just friends?
Felicia: I can’t believe you’re actually asking me that!
Mitch: Are you having an affair with him?
Felicia: No! I am not cheating on you with anyone, and I am hurt that you would even think that I am having an affair with John again. It happened over twenty years ago.
Mitch: You didn’t even tell me about it.
Felicia: Just like you failed to mention the fact that Sharlene was confiding in you about one of her alters.
Mitch: That’s completely different. I’ve never had an affair with her.
Felicia: So you’re throwing my past in my face!
    Felicia sighs with exasperation..
Felicia: My god-daughter is getting married tomorrow. I need to rest.
    Mitch: Good idea.
Mitch tries to follow Felicia into the bedroom but she stops and turns around.
Felicia: You can sleep on the couch tonight. The blankets are in the linen closet.
She then slams the bedroom door.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cass is holding Frankie in bed after having made love.
Cass: Wow. This time tomorrow, Charlie will be married.
Frankie: I’m still a little surprised that you gave your blessing.
Cass: I guess I felt better about it after...
    Frankie: You can say it.
Cass: Charlie’s safety and well being are my only concerns.
Frankie: Mine, too. I thought Christy had changed, but the judge didn’t see it that way, but it shouldn’t come between us. I’ve always loved you Cass. I always will.
They kiss, and then Frankie reminds him of something.
Frankie: This would be a good time for…
    Cass: The trash.
Frankie: Yeah you don’t want it smelling up the living room.
    Cass: You’re...you’re…
    Frankie: Right?
    Cass: Yeah yeah you’re right.
Cass gets up and puts his robe on. He grabs the trash by the front door, and opens it, and his eyes widen as he is shocked by what he sees.
Cass: Cecile? What the hell are you doing here at this hour?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT TONI’S APARTMENT - Toni, K.C. and Etta Mae walk in. K.C is quiet.
Etta Mae: Keneisha aren’t you gonna say something?
K.C.: What do you want me to say? That I understand why you kept me from my father all my life? Sorry I can’t wrap my head around that.
Toni: You may not understand right now, but I do need you to try. The situation was impossible.
K.C.: You had to know that he was looking for me. He was looking for me right?
Etta Mae and Toni look at each other.
Etta Mae: We told him that you were dead.
    K.C.: Oh it gets better.
Etta Mae: He left. It wasn’t like he was going to the military. He had no excuse leaving Toni pregnant!
K.C.: So you told him that I was dead.
Toni: We told him that I lost the baby.
    K.C.: Why did he leave?
Toni: He went looking for his mother.
K.C.: I guess she would be my grandmother right?
Toni: I couldn’t raise you by myself. I was in school.
Etta Mae: That’s when I stepped in. Toni needed to finish school, so I took care of you.
Toni: We didn’t want to confuse you.
Etta Mae: So we let you think that Toni was your sister.
Toni: I was devastated when he left. He didn’t even come back. Allen didn’t, and still doesn’t, deserve to be your father.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLANE - The rain is beating up against the plane with claps of thunder in between as Reginald is being served a plate of food.
Reginald: This isn’t poisoned is it?
The servant looks at him puzzled by his statement.
    Reginald: Never mind.
    The servant walks away.
Reginald: I wish this storm would pass so we can get the hell out of here.
    Allen walks onto the aircraft.
    Allen: I second that.
Reginald: Well well. If it isn’t my grandson. Did you come to see me off?
Allen: I wanna know why you didn’t tell me about my daughter.
    Donna and Michael join Allen.
Michael: You’re not gonna get a straight answer from him Allen. Why don’t we just pound it out of him?
    Reginald laughs.
Reginald: Look at this. Our mini-family reunion.

Barista: We’re sorry but the coffee machine is down.
Joy: What do you mean, down?
Barista: It’s been doing this frequently. I’ve called the repairman. I apologize.
Joy turns around and talks to Steven.
Joy: Isn’t that the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever heard? The coffee machine in a coffee shop doesn’t work. I mean really?
Steven: Yeah I was really looking forward to my cappucino.
Joy: Are you familiar with this town?
    Steven: You could say that.

Amanda: Oh...oh no I’m so sorry Cory. There’s so much that has to be done here. Can I take a raincheck?
Cory: Sure sis. Have you heard from mom?
Amanda: No she hasn’t called me.
    Cory: Me neither.
Amanda: She probably hasn’t had the chance. Why don’t you give her a call?
Cory: I’ve tried already. It just goes directly to voicemail. Well I guess I’ll just have those pancakes and bacon by myself.
Amanda: I’m sorry kid. I promise I’ll share my eggs and bacon with my little brother.
    Amanda grabs an envelope.
Amanda: Can you give these to Iris for me on your way out?
Cory: If you promise to get me an extra stack of pancakes when we go for breakfast.
    Amanda (smiling): Of course.
After Cory leaves, Amanda checks the computer, and notices something.
Amanda: This is a lot of money. Operation Loco? What is this?

Iris: Iris Cory, C.E.O. Looks great.
She walks into her office, runs and sits in the office chair, spins around and lets out a joyful scream.
Iris: This office looks so drab, so gloomy, so Rachel.
    Someone familiar walks in…
Iris: Well if it isn’t the famous Tucker McCall. I was just thinking how you should come down after I had this mausoleum redecorated.
    Tucker: Hey there beautiful…
    After they hug…
Tucker: You’re finally the CEO huh?
Iris: Yep and I couldn’t have done it without you.
(credit – MLC Productions - Young and the Restless “Tucker goes after Katherine”)
Iris flashes back to the present.
Iris: That’s right. I couldn’t have done this without you. You always gave me the confidence that I could succeed in business. I’m gonna need it again.
    Cory knocks on the door.
Iris: Hi what’s that in your hand.
Cory: Amanda told me to give you this. Feels like it’s a bunch of CDs. I didn’t know you all were into music like that.
Iris (smiling): Are you trying to call me old?
Cory: No that’s not what I meant at all.
Iris: Have you heard from your mother?
    Cory: No unfortunately not.
Iris: How could she not? You must be worried to pieces about your father.

Joy: The only thing that’s on my mind right now is my morning cuppa joe.
Steven: Well the nearest one besides this one is on the other side of town. Do...you need a lift?
    Joy: I don’t know you.
Steven: How rude of me. I’m Dr. Steven Frame.
    Joy: Joy.
Steven: Now that we know each other, I wouldn’t mind giving you a ride there. The alternative would take you an hour.
Joy: A little exercise never hurt, right?
Joy tries to walk past him, but…
Steven: I understand your trepidation. How do you like your coffee?
Joy: One cream and two sugars. Wait a minute. You’re not…
Steven: I will go across town, get your coffee, and bring it back here for you. If you’re willing to wait.
Joy (smiling): It’ll be cold by the time you get back.
Steven: Hopefully their microwave still work even if the coffee machine doesn’t.

Iris: Rachel went to Springfield right?
Cory: Yeah that’s where she took dad.
Iris: What kind of mother does that? Oh...I’m sorry.
Cory: It’s okay. I just wanna know my dad is doing.
Iris: Tell ya what. I have a friend who lives in Springfield, Alexandra Spaulding. I’ll give her a call and she’ll find out for us.
Cory: Are you sure? You know you don’t have to…
Iris: I WANT to...now stop before I change my mind.
Cory: Thank you. Thank you so much.
Cory spontaneously hugs Iris, meanwhile Amanda comes to the door and observes Cory and Iris’s embrace.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lisa examines Carl while Rachel watches…
    Rachel: How is he?
    Lisa: There’s no change.
Rachel: But he squeezed my hand.
Lisa: That was just a reflex. I’m sorry.
Rachel: I just want him to come back. I put everything on the line. I took risks for him to come here and get treatment.
Lisa: And he is getting stronger, but it’s going to take some time for his body to rid itself of the poison. If you’ll excuse me, I’ve gotta go check on a patient.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lisa enters the patient’s room with some medication and a cup and she calls out for her…
Lisa: Marissa? How are you feeling? It’s time for your medication.
    Marissa: Better all the time.
Lisa (giving Marissa a pill and a cup of water): That’s great. The boss wants you to take this.
Marissa puts the pill in her mouth and drinks the water.
Lisa: I’ll be back to check on you later.
Lisa leaves and Marissa takes the pill out of her mouth, and places it in her drawer, with many other pills identical to the one she just took out of her mouth.

Vicky: With everything going on in our family we could use some good news. Who’s the person lucky enough to catch my son’s attention?

Steven: I’m the lucky one. Her name’s Joy.

    Vicky: Joy? Joy who?

    Steven: Joy Kramer.

    Vicky: Any relation to Dana?

    Steven: That’s her cousin.

Vicky: Oh okay. Sounds good...so far. What else do you know about this girl?

Steven: She’s sweet, funny, and mysterious.

Vicky: Easy there tiger. You say she’s sweet, funny, and mysterious huh? Sounds like an interesting combination. You want some advice? Don’t be so quick to fall for this girl. Take things slow and get to know her. You never know what she’s hiding her closet, not to mention she almost destroyed your Aunt Marley’s marriage years ago.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Joy opens up her closet door and grabs a blue dress. She also looks at her scuba equipment, which she used to dive into the river and retrieve the gun that Donna used to shoot Reginald, and a gas can, which she used to pour gas around the Harbor Club before she set it on fire.

Joy: Steven must never find out about this.

    --------------------------------------------

Steven: I’m aware of all that mom. It doesn’t take away how I feel about her. People make mistakes. I mean haven’t you made your share?

    Vicky: Touche son.

Steven: Sorry mom, well I gotta go meet her.

Vicky: Well honey you have a great time.

Steven: Who knows? I might even bring her to Carl’s party.

Vicky: I dunno about that. Wait a minute. Carl’s party? You got a text for that, too?

Steven: Yeah. I assume you’re coming.

Vicky: Of course I am, but I wonder what would make Carl throw a party?

    ---------------------------------------------------

    CORY MANSION

Carl is in the living room with Frankie when Devin Lucas walks in.

Carl: Look where it brought you. I never really had the opportunity to bond with Ryan. You, and my twins, were my second chance.

Devin Lucas: What about me? What chance do I give you?

Carl slowly rises up from his chair, and his eyes widened, shocked to see Devin Lucas. Carl walks up to him, and hugs him, but Devin Lucas does not return the gesture, and Frankie notices it.

    Carl: Son.

    Frankie: Son?

Carl: Frankie this is your brother...my son...Devin Lucas Hutchins.

Frankie notices some tension between them.

Frankie: I think I...need to leave you two alone.

Devin Lucas: Nice to meet you...sis.

Frankie: Same here. I’m gonna go.

Frankie closes the double living room doors leaving Carl and Devin Lucas together.

Carl: Son, it’s so good to see you.

Devin Lucas slowly walks through the living room, looking up and around.

Devin Lucas: This place looks great dad. You’ve done well for yourself haven’t you? Quite the charmer you are. You managed to marry Rachel Cory. You really fooled her didn’t you?

Carl remains silent, as if he knows where Devin Lucas is going with what he is saying.

    --------------------------------------------

    TOPS

Mitch, Felicia, and Lorna have just finished their drinks. Felicia’s club soda was spiked with a powdery substance by Christy Carson.

Lorna: Well mom what do you think?

Felicia: Well you’re definitely not pregnant or you wouldn’t have downed that martini. So what is it? Tell me.

Lorna: It’s more like who is it, and I’m looking for him.

Mitch: Do you need us to help you?

Felicia: Honey who are you looking for?

Lorna: I don’t need any help to find him. I know exactly where he went.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Devin Lucas: Does she really know you? Does Rachel know everything you did to my mother?

Carl: Rachel knows everything about me, and I’m not sure where you’re going with this, but you’re going to stop now.

    PART 2

    PARK

Steven gently escorts Joy to a spot while she’s blindfolded.

Joy: Where are we going? It smells like grass.

    Steven: Hold up...we’re almost there.

Steven gently removes the blindfold from Joy’s eyes.

    Joy: Wow.

Joy sees a blanket, complete with a basket of food and a bucket of champagne.

Steven: I’m not sure what you prefer but…

Joy: Oh Steven, nobody’s ever...done this for me. Why? I don’t...deserve this at all.

Steven: Of course you do. You have no idea how special you are….how special you’ve become to me. I was drawn to you the first day I met you in the coffee shop.

    Joy: I...I....

Steven (whispering): Don’t think so much. Just bask in the moment; just let yourself feel. You feel me, don’t you?

Joy nods her head, then Steven gently pulls Joy into a kiss, and Joy returns it.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Vicky is sitting at a table at the Center talking on her cell phone to Marley.

Vicky: You should have seen him. He is head over heels for her.

    ---

Marley: Joy Kramer. That name just...is one I’d soon forget…

    ---

Vicky: I know what she almost did to your marriage.

    ---

Marley: I’d like to leave it in the past. Everybody has taken their responsibility in that affair.

    ---

Vicky: Now my son wants to date her.

    ---

Marley: Victoria, Steven’s a grown man. You gotta let him live his life.

    ---

Vicky: When Roman grows up you’re gonna be just as protective.

    ---

Marley: Besides what happened between Tyrone and Joy didn’t destroy our marriage.

    ---

Vicky: I wish my marriage was just as strong as yours.

    ---

Marley: You and Jake will get through this.

    ---

    Vicky: From your lips.

    ---

Marley: You will. I love you.

    ---

    Vicky: Love you, too.

As Vicky hangs up her cell phone, a man walks up to her.

    Man: Vicky McKinnon?

    Vicky: That’s me.

    Man: This is for you.

He gives her an envelope and walks away while Vicky reads the envelope contents.

    Vicky: Oh no.

    -------------------------------------------------

Devin Lucas: Why do you want me to stop dad? Truth too painful?

Carl: This is about Lorna isn’t it?

Devin Lucas: What would make you think that this is about mom?

Carl: I can see the anger in your eyes. It’s oozing from your pores. What did she tell you?

Devin Lucas: She didn’t tell me anything. I did internet searches on you. I found so many...horrific things. Then when I’d ask mom about it, she’d avoid the subject. Her whole demeanor and look would change. Like she would clam up. Other times she would snap at me saying she didn’t wanna talk about it. So something definitely happened. I’m here to ask you. What really went down between you and my mother?

Carl: Son, some things are better left unsaid.

Devin Lucas: No it’s not dad, because you have a brain tumor. You’re not gonna be here much longer, and before you go, you’re gonna tell me what happened between you and mom.

Carl: You wanna know the truth son? You really wanna know about me and Lorna? I’ll tell you.

    AT CORY PRODUCTIONS…
Iris sits at her desk and takes out one of the CDs she received from Cory, and it’s labeled “Play me”, so she puts it in her laptop….It’s Tucker McCall.
Tucker: Hello darlin’ if you’re watching this, I’m probably dead, or playin’ dead. I know what happened with your new and old younger brother, and I’m here to give you one last push. I gotta admit, you’re gonna have to think of something quick, because you know it’s just a matter of time. Michael is gonna request a hearing to try and getcha out, but I got all the confidence in you. I always have. You’ll come out of this smellin’ like a fresh rose. Go get em girl.
Iris (looking up): Oh Tucker what the hell am I supposed to come up with? Michael can kick me clean out of Cory Productions, and I’m sure Matt is pushing him.
She notices a copy of Brava Magazine on her desk and smiles.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    AT PAULINA’S…
    Dante is preparing for work.
Paulina: Honey you didn’t finish your breakfast.
Dante: I gotta get to the station. Can’t be late on my first day.
Paulina: You’re gonna need all your strength and concentration so you need to eat the rest of your food. Jack will understand.
Dante: You used to say that when I was a kid, but I’m not anymore mom.
Paulina (sighing): You’re right. My baby’s all grown up, but I’m still your mother, and I’m not gonna stop being that.
Dante: And I appreciate it so much. Wish me luck.
Paulina: You’ll do great. I love you.
    Dante: Love you, too.
Dante kisses Paulina on her cheek and walks out the door, but Paulina notices something….
Paulina: Dante honey you forgot your bag.
Paulina opens the door and there’s Matthew.
Paulina: Matthew. Hi. What’s going on?
    Matthew: May we come in?
Paulina: We? Who else is with you?
    Michael appears.
    Paulina (shocked): Oh my!

    BAY CITY CENTER
Amanda sits at a table and flashes back to Operation Loco, and seeing Iris and Cory hug in Iris’s office. Then Allen touches Amanda’s shoulder.
    Allen: Hey beautiful.
    Amanda: Oh. Hey.
Allen: Wow, I thought I’d get a warmer reception. Something on your mind?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MEANWHILE, ACROSS THE CENTER AT ANOTHER TABLE...Charlie and Lindsay talk….
Lindsay: You must be excited about the wedding.
Charlie: Yes I most certainly am.
Lindsay: How did your parents take the news?
Charlie: Mom was good about it. Dad? Not so much.
    Lindsay: How are they doing?
Charlie: It seems like they’re coming together, but I don’t know what’s gonna happen after Christy Carson’s hearing today.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CASS’S CAR - Cass is in the driver's seat with Frankie in the passenger’s seat.
    Cass: Here we are.
    Frankie: I can see that.
Cass: Frankie you can still change your mind.
    Frankie: About what?
    Cass: Vouching for that lunatic.
Frankie (looking out the window): There’s nothing for us to discuss as far as that’s concerned.
Cass: You didn’t say much on the way down here.
Frankie: Cass we can’t agree on anything these days, and I don’t like it.
Cass: Do you think I’m enjoying this? I went to see her yesterday. She hasn’t changed at all. She’s still as conniving as she ever was.
Frankie: We’d better get in the courtroom or we’re gonna be late.

    Paulina: Michael? What? When?
Michael: Long story. I promise I’ll explain to you later.
Paulina: Have you seen Donna? Vicky? Marley?
Michael: Donna knows, but my daughters don’t. I don’t want them to until this is over.
    Paulina: Til what’s over?
Matthew: Getting Iris out of Cory Productions.
Paulina: I’m all for that, but what do you have to do with this Michael?
Matthew gives Paulina the birth certificate.
    Paulina: What? You?
    Michael: I’m Mac’s eldest child.
Paulina: Wow. This means that according to the will, you would be awarded full control of Cory, right?
    Matthew: That’s correct.
Paulina: Wait a minute, weren’t you and Iris…
    Michael: Iris is adopted.
Matthew: Before we schedule the hearing, we need to have your vote to get her out.
Paulina: Hmm let’s see. Let me think about it. Okay, you’ve got it. Let’s get that bitch out of our father’s company.
Matthew: She threatened to tie the company up in litigation for years.
Paulina: That will is binding. She’s not gonna have a leg to stand on.
Michael: And we need to get the hearing soon, because for some reason, I don’t think we can count her out. She’s gonna try and fight back.
Suddenly all their cell phones chime one after the other.
    Michael: What’s this?
Paulina (looking at her phone): From Iris?
Matthew: She wants to meet us at her office.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Amanda: Nothing.
    Allen: Uh huh.
Amanda: It’s just some...stuff at work. Nothing I can’t handle. So how did everything go?
Allen: You’re looking at the new Executive Director of Programming at KBAY.
Amanda: Well congratulations babe! Donna will be thrilled.
Allen: Even though she doesn’t own the station anymore, she still was able to put in a good word for me. I was wondering if we could...celebrate tonight.
    Amanda: Of course.
    Amanda’s cell phone vibrates...
Amanda: It’s from Iris. She’s summoning me to her office.
    Allen: Duty calls huh?
    Amanda kisses Allen.
    Amanda: See ya later babe.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    COURTHOUSE -
Cass and Frankie sit as they look forward at the judge’s bench.
Cass (leaning to his left toward Frankie): We’re not on the same page with Charlie marrying Kirkland either.
Frankie (leaning to her right toward Cass): You’re not willing to let go. Charlie’s not ten years old.
Cass: She’s not thirty either. She’s still young and she’s got her whole life ahead of her.
Frankie: We’re going to have to let her make her own mistakes. All we can do is support her and be there for when she needs us.
The bailiff walks out to the court.
Bailiff: All rise! The Honorable Judge Blake will be presiding over this proceeding. The State of Illinois vs. Christina Carson.
Judge Blake takes his seat and then the side door opens, as two guards escort Christy out, and Christy makes eye contact with Cass and Frankie.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amanda walks into Iris's office and sees, Matthew, Paulina and Michael.
Amanda: What are you all doing here?
Paulina: We got Iris’s text. You don't seem shocked to see Michael?
Amanda: Yes Matthew told me all about it.
    Matthew: This wreaks.
    Michael: She’s up to something.
    Iris walks in.
Iris: Thank you all for coming, because you are going to want to hear what I have to say.

Felicia is in the Center, walking and on her cell phone….
Felicia: Mitch I’m not sure why I’m leaving you a voicemail because you probably won’t check it, but I’ll be home in about twenty minutes. I just stopped at the center to get something, and I’m not going to forget your soup. I love you, bye.
Felicia presses ‘end call’ on her phone and bumps into a woman …
    Felicia: Oh I’m sorry.
Woman: Wait a minute. You look familiar. Felicia Gallant?
Felicia: You must have read one of my books.
Woman: Embers In The Snow. Yes I read it.
Felicia: Thank you. I really appreciate that.
Woman: That’s not how I know you, though.
    Felicia: You don’t know me.
Woman: No, but my father does...Marshall Edward Kramer III.
Felicia: Oh my, that was a long time ago, but I definitely remember him. What’s your name?

    AT THE HOSPITAL...
Tyrone and Marley are walking together slowly down the 6th floor hall, while nurses and doctors pass them in the opposite direction.
    Marley: I’m nervous.
Tyrone: I think I know why.
    Marley: You do?
Tyrone: The gel they’re gonna put on your stomach is gonna be too cold.
Marley: Come on honey I’m serious. I don’t know what they’re gonna say about the baby.
Tyrone: We’ve been very cautious. You’ve done everything that the doctors have told us to do.
Marley: I’ve taken my prenatal vitamins and getting my rest, but what if something’s still wrong with our child?
Tyrone: Hey hey, we’re not even gonna entertain that. Positive thoughts only.
    Marley (smiling): You’re right.

Felicia: No you stay right there mister. Did you get my voicemail?
Mitch: No. Let me help you with those...ow!
Felicia: If your wound opens back up, I’m gonna make you get yourself to the hospital.
    Mitch: Okay boss lady.
Felicia: Hey I ran into someone at the Center. Do you remember when I told you about Marshall Edward Kramer?
    Mitch: Yep
Felicia: I just met his daughter. The funny thing is that he never mentioned having a child.
    Mitch: What’s her name?
    Felicia: Joy Kramer.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joy is at the Center and she gets a phone call, looks at her phone, and answers.

Rachel and Lisa sit in Lisa’s office.
Lisa: So you stayed at the Whitney/Saxon hotel last night?
    Rachel: Yes. Very comfortable.
    Lisa: I know the owner.
    Rachel: Raven Whitney?
Lisa: Yep she’s still going strong after all these years, especially after everything that’s happened.
Rachel: Yes I read some years ago about Schuyler Whitney’s passing.
Lisa: Her children help her. These days she’s taking care of her grandkids. Her some Jamey runs the hotel mostly. So what’s new in Bay City? It’s been over twenty five years.
Rachel: Well your Aunt Felicia is re-married.
Lisa: Yes I knooowww. I just couldn’t make the wedding.
Rachel: It’s a good thing you didn’t after what happened to Mitch.
Lisa: I heard that Evan Frame shot him? Wow.
    Rachel: Yes.
    Lisa: And Cory and Elizabeth?
Rachel (smiles): Yes, my wonderful babies. They were nothing short of a miracle.
Lisa: But your mom had a baby late in life right?
Rachel: My sister Nancy. So how are you?
Lisa: I’m great you know. Work and my boys.
Rachel: Are you still living in Henderson?
Lisa: No. I moved here with the kids.
    Rachel: You and Quinn?
Lisa: We have shared custody. They’re living with Quinn for the remainder of the school year.
Rachel: I appreciate you helping my husband.
Lisa: Carl is making excellent progress. The antidote is really helping.
Rachel: Only Matthew and Paulina know that Carl is here. I would appreciate if you didn’t tell anyone.

    PART 1 SCENE 1

    AT THE BLAKE'S

    Mitch
signs for a box and shuts the door. Felicia walks out of the bedroom.

Felicia: Is that your new phone?

Mitch: Finally. Activated and everything. I had no idea when it was gonna come.

Felicia: Well next time you'll be more careful around puddles next time. I gotta get out of here so I'll see you later?

    Mitch: Of course hun.

They kiss and Felicia leaves. Mitch listens to his voice mail and hears Sharlene's message about Janice getting stronger and stronger. Mitch becomes concerned.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    POLICE STATION HOLDING CELL

    Rachel
    paces back and forth.

Rachel: Who would want to frame me for Reginald's murder? Who else knew where my sweater was besides Carl and the kids? Neither of them would have planted a vial of poison in it.

Then Rachel comes a startling realization...

    Rachel: Oh my God.

Rachel flashes back to (Episode 102) the Harbor Club Ladies' room...

Sharlene frantically grabs her purse, turns around and sees Rachel.

    Rachel: Sharlene? Are you alright?
Sharlene (running by Rachel): I’m fine.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
Then Rachel flashes back again to the Cory living room.
Janice: What the hell did you just do to him?
    Rachel: I beg your pardon?
Janice: Carl just stormed out of here like a bat out of hell.
Rachel: We just had a disagreement that’s all.
Janice: That looked more than just a difference of opinion. He looked really pissed off.
Rachel: Carl and I will work it out.
    Janice: I’m sorry, I overstepped.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------

Rachel flashes back to the present...

Rachel: It couldn't have been Sharlene. She would never have done this to me unless...she wasn't herself. Oh no.

    Cass
and a guard walk up to the cell.

Cass: The judge granted bail. Amanda put it up.

Guard (unlocking the cell): You're free to go.

Rachel: Cass I know who framed me.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    CORY MANSION FOYER

    Carl
grabs a letter opener, opens a piece of mail, places the letter opener on the table in the center of the foyer, and walks into the living room. He gets a call on his cell phone.

Carl: Amanda....I was about to...okay thank you.

Carl walks over to the liquor on the far table, and pours himself a drink of the poisoned liquor. Meanwhile, out back, Janice
watches closely, with a unconscious Frankie next to her, through the glass double doors.

    PART 2

Carl sits on the couch with an empty glass of liquor he just drank on the coffee table. He places his cell phone on the coffee table next to the glass. Cory
    walks into the living room.

Cory: Wow dad you don't look so hot.

Carl: Yeah suddenly I'm feeling a little ill.

    Cory: Any word on mom?

Carl: Amanda called and told me she got her out of jail.

Cory: Oh cool. Well I'm going out...

Carl: Son? Have you given any consideration for us forging some kind of relationship?

Cory: I dunno dad. As soon as I'm sure that something or someone from your past is not gonna hurt us at some point, then I might give it a try, and it seems like something can crop up any day. See ya.

    Carl: Remember your curfew.

Cory leaves the mansion, as Carl continues to sweat and feel weaker. He lies down with his head on the arm of the couch, then Janice walks up to him slowly, and faces him.

    Carl: I...can't move...

He looks up and sees her....

Carl: Shar...Sharlene...what are you doing here? Call 9-1-1. Please.

Janice bends down closer to Carl...

Janice: You see, two things you got wrong right there. I'm not calling 9-1-1, and I'm not Sharlene. One thing I CAN tell you, is that this has been a long time coming.

    Carl's breathing becomes labored...

    Carl: What...did you do?

Janice: What do you THINK I did? I gave you exactly what you deserved.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    HUDSONS HOUSE

    Gregory
answers the door and Mitch walks in.

Mitch: Hey Greg. Sorry...is your mother here?

    Gregory: No...why? What's going on?

Mitch: Do you know where she might be? I tried calling her cell phone and I get voice mail.

Gregory: No. Cousin Frankie came earlier looking for dad, and she said something was wrong. Is it my mom? Is she alright?

    Rachel and Cass arrive.

Rachel: No...I'm afraid not Gregory, and we've got to find her before something bad happens.

Mitch flashes back to seeing Sharlene staring at Carl and Rachel at Bay City Center together, and he realizes where Sharlene might be.

Mitch: Come on. We've got to get the Cory Mansion.

Cass: Is that where you think she is?

Rachel: Why would Sharlene go there?

Mitch: Carl could be in danger.

    Cass: Let's go.

    Mitch: I'll follow you guys.

    Gregory: I'm coming, too.

Rachel: Gregory honey you should stay here, in case Sharlene comes back. You should call your father.

    Gregory: I will.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Carl: I...can't move.

Janice: I wish you would shut up, because I have a lot to say to you. You will soon though. Neurotoxins have that effect on people.

Carl's cell phone vibrates, and Janice looks at it.

Janice: What do ya know? It's Rachel. Guess you won't be answering that call.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CASS'S CAR

Rachel: Carl please if you see Sharlene call John immediately. I'm on my way home. I love you.

    Cass: Voicemail?

    Rachel: Yeah.

Cass: I got voicemail when I called Frankie, too.

Rachel: I'm getting worried Cass. Something could be very wrong.

Suddenly railroad track alarms ring and Rachel looks back.

Cass: Glad we got past that.

Rachel: I don't see Mitch behind us. I think he's stuck. He's gonna have to wait for the trains to pass.

Cass: We can't. We gotta get to the mansion.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Janice: What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? Good, it's taking effect, seems like you're having trouble breathing.

Janice stands up, and looks toward the window.

Janice: I wonder how...Evan felt when he had trouble breathing. I saw him. We saw him pressing that pipe against Evan's neck so he couldn't breathe. Sharlene couldn't handle it. That's why I came along, because I was the one who would get revenge for her nephew's death, and that I did. How can someone with the last name 'Love' be so damned evil? Reginald had it coming, too, he had no idea that the room service meal would be his last, and it was so easy to frame your beloved Rachel, and she's gonna go away for his murder. I had to figure out a way to get rid of her, so I could get to YOU. Carl Hutchins, the deadbeat dad. You left her with Evan and Frankie, while you went off in the world doing God knows what! How could you? I bet you wish you stayed and fulfilled your responsibility. Did you really think I was gonna let you play doting dad to Cory and Elizabeth and husband to Rachel? Not a chance. I'll be back. Maybe you should think of some, last thoughts, because when I return, I will ensure that my plan will be complete.

    AT THE MCKINNONS...
Someone rings the doorbell, and Michele opens the door…
Michele:  Oh...Elizabeth?  What are you doing here?
    Elizabeth walks in.
    Elizabeth:  I’m glad you’re here.
Michele:  When did you get back to Bay City?
    Elizabeth:  I can’t tell you why I’m back yet…
Michele:  So why did you come here?
Elizabeth:  To talk about your sister and my brother and their joke of a relationship.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    BAY CITY CENTER
Cory and Bridget are walking slowly hand in hand.
Bridget:  Hey stop let’s take a selfie.
Bridget holds her smartphone up, snaps their picture, and they continue walking.
    Bridget:  That movie was scary.
Cory:  How would you know?  You kept covering your eyes every five seconds so you couldn’t have seen anything.
Bridget:  I was watching it through the openings between my fingers.
Cory:  Yeah whatever.  You wanna smoothie?
    Bridget:  Yeah.
    Cory:  Be right back.
They kiss and as Cory leaves, Bridget pulls up her FacePage account, posts the selfie, and writes a message, and she goes to a part where it says “post to all except Cory Hutchins.”  She clicks his name so he cannot see the post.  She notices Cory coming with their smoothies and quickly puts her phone away.
    Cory:  Strawberry for my girl.
    Bridget:  Thank you.
Bridget smiles about her FacePage post.
    Cory:  Whatchu smilin about?
Bridget:  It’s you.  You make me smile.  I just wish my mom and dad could be as happy as I am right now.
    ----------------------------------------------
    P.I. FIRM
Jake is about to leave but when he opens the door, it’s Vicky who slams the envelope into his chest.  Jake grabs it to keep it from dropping.
Vicky:  Is this what you really want Jake?  A divorce?  That’s what punks do.  Run!
They both enter the office again.
Jake:  Is that what we’re doing now?  Name calling?
Vicky:  You’re giving up.  You’re running away.
Jake:  Do I have to run down the reasons why I sent you these papers Vicky?
    Vicky:  Try it.
Jake:  Let’s start with the way you treated Bridget after we thought we lost Michele.  You disowned her in front of everyone.  Our own daughter.
    --------------------------------------------------------
Cory:  I’m sorry that your parents are going through that.
Bridget:  It hurts you know.  I can’t help but thinking this really might be the end for them.  So much has happened.
Cory looks away for a second, thinking about Carl, then back at Bridget.
Cory:  Yeah we grow up thinking that our parents are gonna be together forever.  Then we learn...that’s just not the case.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    CORY MANSION
    Devin Lucas confronts Carl.
I’ll tell you, but I need to know if you’re prepared to hear it.
Devin Lucas:  Well there’s no time like the present huh dad?
Carl:  You might know most of this already.  I wonder what your mother told you.
Devin Lucas:  This about mom.  This is about you telling me the truth.
Carl:  I made her pose nude, then I used the pictures I took to blackmail her when I needed something done.
Devin Lucas:  How old was she?
    Carl:  That doesn’t matter…
Devin Lucas:  How old was she?
Carl:  She wasn’t even twenty yet.
Devin Lucas is shaking his head in disbelief and trying to hold back disgust.
Devin Lucas:  How could you do that?
Carl:  You don’t get to ask me any more questions!  If you want to know the truth, you shut up...and hear it all.
Devin Lucas:  May I ask you one more question?
    Carl:  What is it son?
Devin Lucas:  How did I come about?
Felicia, Mitch and Lorna come in.
Devin Lucas:  Did you rape her?

    PART 2
Michele:  Well if their relationship is supposed to be funny, I’m totally not laughing.
Elizabeth:  You can’t possibly approve of them being together.
    Michele:  Well...things have changed somewhat.
Elizabeth:  Cory told me what you told him...that you were cool with him dating your sister.
    Michele:  And I meant it.
Elizabeth:  My God the accident must have messed up your mind.  Bridget is a total bitch and my brother deserves better.
Michele:  You and I both know that, but he doesn’t see it.
Elizabeth:  Well then we’ve gotta do something to break them up.
Michele:  You know, when I came back I wanted revenge on Bridget for everything she had done to me in the past, but maybe that’s...that’s not the way to go.
    Elizabeth:  What do you mean?
Michele:  Everyone is telling me to forgive her.  They don’t want a repeat of what happened between my mom and Aunt Marley years ago.
    Elizabeth:  I heard about that.
Michele:  Maybe they’re right.  Maybe it’s time I...let it all go and forgive Bridget.
    ---------------------------------------------
    LOVE MANSION
    Cory and Bridget walk in.
Cory:  It’s been a while since I’ve been here.  I’m sure you weren’t too sad when your mom told you to come live here.
Bridget:  I gotta be honest, you’re so right.  You can have a whole wing to yourself here.  I barely even see my grandparents.
Cory:  Doesn’t sound like anyone’s here.
Bridget:  Hmmm what are you suggesting?
    Cory:  This.
    Cory and Bridget kiss passionately.
Bridget:  Umm I don’t wanna continue this here.
    Cory:  I agree.
    They proceed upstairs.
    ------------------------------------------------
Jake:  Vicky you need to face the truth.
Vicky:  After everything we’ve been through together, you all of a  sudden don’t trust me?  That’s so ridiculous.
Jake:  Is it?  It’s like you went back to the old Vicky, or maybe you never changed at all.
Vicky:  I did change!  I have four children.
    Jake:  I don’t know.  I don’t know anything anymore.
Vicky:  All I see is someone who is looking for an excuse to get out of this marriage.
Jake:  You think that’s it?  You think this doesn’t hurt?
Vicky:  I can’t tell Jake.  Maybe you’re just itching to leave me.
Jake:  You were the one who gave me an ultimatum.
Vicky:  Oh Jake so suddenly holier than thou.  Con artist, blackmailer, sleazy newspaper reporter.  Is that the life you want?  Are you bored?  Is that why you want out?
Jake:  Dammit Vicky!  You just don’t get it!
Vicky:  Oh I get it.  Oh do I ever...get it.  You’ve given up on our marriage.  How could you?
    Vicky walks out.
    ------------------------------------------------
    CORY MANSION
Felicia, Lorna and Mitch have just walked in on a conversation between Carl and Devin Lucas.
    Carl:  What?
Devin Lucas:  It’s a closed ended question.  Did you rape my mother?
Lorna walks over to Devin Lucas and gently places her left hand on his left shoulder.
Lorna:  No baby.  Carl never forced himself on me.
Devin Lucas:  Did he force you to keep me in boarding schools?  All the bodyguards; people keeping tabs on me.
Felicia:  Okay I’m completely confused.  What the hell is going on here?
Mitch:  I think Devin Lucas is the surprise that Lorna was talking about.
    Lorna turns to Felicia.
Lorna:  Mom, this is my son, your grandson.
Felicia walks slowly over to Devin Lucas.
    Mitch:  Wow.
Felicia:  Lorna you never said a word about this all these years.
    Lorna:  Long story mom.
Devin Lucas:  So you’re Felicia.  Mom raves about you.
Felicia:  Wow.  I’m an instant grandmother.  Devin Lucas.  Named after...your grandfather Lucas.
Felicia touches Devin Lucas’s right cheek as her eyes well up.
Felicia:  You...you look so much like him.
Devin Lucas:  And don’t forget my first name….which is mom’s last name.  I just spell it differently than she does.
    Lorna:  I spelled it differently.
Carl:  We can do the introductions later, but I think Devin Lucas, Lorna and I should have time alone.
Felicia:  I just met my grandson.
    Lorna turns to Felicia.
Lorna:  Mother, please...can you and Mitch leave us alone for a minute.
She turns back to Devin Lucas and Carl.
Lorna:  This talk is long overdue.

Michael is with Donna at the Love Mansion in their bedroom. Michael puts on his gray hooded sweatshirt and Donna lies in bed. Donna gets up, walks over to Michael, and places her arms on his shoulders.
Donna: Where are you headed? You just got back. We have sooo much catching up to do.
Donna starts kissing Michael on his neck.
Michael: There’ll be plenty of time for us to do that dear.
Donna: It’s killing me not to be able to tell the girls that you’ve returned. They still think you’re dead. And you haven’t met Bridget yet. She reminds of me somewhat of you, and Marley’s having a baby.
Michael: Honey don’t worry. We will all be together okay. There’s just one more thing I have to do.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    At the hospital…
Felicia: Are you kidding? He proposed to her? I guess that’s why he asked if I could let Charlie off early.
Cass: Wait a minute. You knew about this?
Felicia: Kirkland asked if he could have the terrace to himself, and if that Charlie could get off early. I thought he wanted to just have a nice dinner with her. It never occurred to me that he was gonna give her an engagement ring.
Cass: Well he did, and I can’t get on board with it.
Felicia: Oh Cass honey I knew this day would come.
Cass: I’m not naive. I knew Charlie would one day want to get married and have a family of her own, but she’s just too young right now. Why is Kirkland rushing her into this?
Felicia: I don’t think you know everything about it.
    Cass: And you do?
Felicia: You act as though Charlie didn’t have a say in this. Kirkland asked her to marry him, and she said yes.
Cass: She doesn’t know what she’s doing.
Felicia (sighing): When Lorna was having an affair with Grant, I was certainly opposed to it, but I had to let her make her own mistakes. That is what you are going to have to do with Charlie.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Frankie: Come here honey.
Charlie sits next to Frankie on the bed and lays her head on Frankie’s shoulder.
Charlie: Dad is gonna have to realize that I’m a grown woman. I want to marry Kirkland and the sooner he accepts it, the better.
Frankie: Your father loves you. He just wants what’s best for you, as I do.
Charlie: I understand that but dad has to realize that Kirkland is nothing like his father.
Frankie: Look I’ll talk to your dad, but you gotta realize that your dad only is looking out for your best interests. He loves you, and no matter how old you get, you’re always gonna be our little girl. You’ll understand that once you have children.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael is at a door when Matt joins him holding an envelope full of documents.
    Matt: Are you ready?
Michael: As ready as I’ll ever be.
Matt: You’re only doing what dad would want.
    Iris opens the door.
Iris: Come in. I’ve been expecting you.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    PART 2
Cass: Wouldn’t you want to do something if you thought Lorna or Jenna was making a bad decision?
Felicia: Of course. Protecting our children is a parental instinct, even when they become adults.
Cass: I have to convince her that this is not a good choice.
Felicia: I know you don’t want to hear this but there’s nothing you can do about it. All you can do is be there for her when she needs you. You’re going to have to let go.
Charlie walks up to within earshot of Cass and Felicia around the corner.
Cass: It seems like yesterday when Frankie and I were holding this beautiful little baby. Since then, all I wanted to do as her father was to protect her, and never let anything or anyone hurt her.
Felicia: But we can’t shield our children forever honey. IF marrying Kirkland is a mistake, it’s Charlie’s to make.
Cass: I love her so much. I just don’t want anything to happen to her.
Charlie emerges as her eyes well up with tears...
Charlie: I love you, too dad.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone rings the doorbell at the Love Mansion and Donna opens it.
Donna: Marley. Come on in. How are you?
Marley: I just came to visit. Haven’t heard from you.
    Donna: I’ve just been a little...preoccupied.
Marley: Oh come on Donna, you’re never too busy for me or Vicky. That’s my next stop.
Donna: You should be getting as much rest as possible instead of being out. I’m surprised Tyrone hasn’t locked you in the house.
Marley: Are you suggesting I should be imprisoned? We’ve had enough of that in our family haven’t we?
Donna: You must be talking about daddy. Keeping Nicole locked up at Pinehaven; trying to kidnap Bridget. Yes I’d say this family is tired of imprisonments.
Someone rings the doorbell and Marley opens the door, looks down, sees an envelope, and picks it up.
    Donna: What’s that?
Marley (looking over the envelope): I dunno, someone left this at the door. Doesn’t even say who it’s from.
Donna opens the envelope and drops its contents in horror. Marley is equally as shocked as she and Donna stare at a gun.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Michael: You have?
Iris: Not much gets by me Mike.
Matt: So then you know why we came.
Michael: We’re giving you a chance to do it here.
Matt (taking out a paper): All you have to do is sign this.
Iris (reading the paper): My resignation? You want me to leave my post as CEO of Cory Productions.
Michael: Better to do it now.
    Iris: What’s in the envelope?
Matt: It’s dad’s will. You and Tucker McCall thought it was fake, but it’s every bit as real as you and I. Look at this.
Iris (looking over the papers and laughing): THIS is what you came to tell me?
    Matt: You knew?
Iris: Everything. Daddy told me a long time ago that I was adopted. That doesn’t change ANYTHING! I am entitled to Cory Productions just as much as you, Paulina, Amanda, and Sandy are. You think you and Michael are just gonna come over to my suite and kick me out of the company because I’m not related to Mac by blood?
    Iris turns to Michael.
Iris: And that YOU are now the sole owner of Cory because you are daddy’s firstborn son.
Michael: You can make this easier on everyone by resigning.
    Iris: I will NEVER quit!
Michael: I only want to do what our father wanted.
Iris: And what is it that you think daddy desired for all of his children? For everyone to have equal ownership?
Matt: YOU want to keep the company for yourself and we’re not gonna let that happen.
Michael: You’re gonna have to give up your stake.
Iris: I don’t have to do a damned thing. How dare you come here trying to force me to resign! I will have this tied up in court for years. When I’m through, there will be no Cory Productions for any of us.

    Jake Walks Out on Vicky!!!

IN THIS EPISODE: Jake, Vicky, Tyrone, Donna, Marley, Allen, Iris, Dante

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    MCKINNONS HOUSE
VICKY SITS IN THE LIVING ROOM WITH A BLANK STARE ON HER FACE, AND JAKE SURPRISES HER…
Vicky: What are you doing with that?
Jake: I'm taking Mary to the airport, and I’m moving out
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
    LOVE MANSION
DONNA, TYRONE, and MARLEY are in the LIVING ROOM…
DONNA: She was so young. It doesn’t even seem real.
MARLEY: I know. I can’t believe what Vicky said though. That’s more unreal.
TYRONE: She’s hurting. She’ll forgive Bridget.
MARLEY: From the way Vicky sounded, you never know. I’m gonna go over there and talk to her. Are you gonna be okay Donna?
    TYRONE: I’ll stay with her.
MARLEY (kissing Tyrone): I’ll see you later hun.
MARLEY LEAVES WITHOUT HER CAR KEYS, WHICH ARE ON THE COUCH. EVERYONE IS UNAWARE. MARLEY WALKS OUT OF THE DOOR, AND ALLEN WATCHES HER FROM THE BUSHES, AND TURNS HIS ATTENTIONS BACK INSIDE, WHERE HE GETS A GOOD VIEW OF TYRONE AND DONNA.
DONNA: It seems that you and Marley are in a better place.
TYRONE: Yes I’d say so. We’re getting better. She seems to be getting better.
DONNA: That’s great. At least someone in my family is happy.
    TYRONE: Where’s Bridget?
    DONNA: Upstairs.
TYRONE: She’s living with you now huh?
DONNA: I’m doing this for Vicky, but I really think Bridget should be home.
TYRONE: After what Vicky said at the memorial, I think Bridget is the last person she wants to see.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    VICKY: Are you serious?
JAKE (angrily): You embarrassed us at the memorial! It was supposed to be for Michele and you made it about your anger toward Bridget and Gregory!
VICKY: If she hadn’t schemed and connived, then Michele might still be here today!
    JAKE: Bridget didn’t kill her!
VICKY: I had to bury my daughter today…because of my other daughter.
JAKE: Did you ever stop to think that I lost a child, too? I’m hurting, too. Do you even notice that? No Vick, you are a one woman wrecking crew, and your anger toward Bridget is gonna destroy this family.
VICKY: Did YOU ever stop to think that Bridget hasn’t taken any responsibility for what she’s done? She tried to get Cory Hutchins DRUNK at the prom! It doesn’t scare you what kind of person she’s turning into?
JAKE: What I’m more afraid of is how our family is crumbling.
VICKY: You’re talking about destroying our family, and YOU’RE the one walking out!
JAKE: I want you to call Bridget and move her back in here, and you take back everything you said about disowning her. If you do that, I won’t leave.
VICKY GIVES JAKE A BLANK STARE. “Right, just like I thought.” Jake says as he leaves with his suitcase.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    BAY CITY CENTER
DANTE IS CLOSING A BOOK AND PACKING UP HIS KNAPSACK. WHEN HE GETS UP, IRIS APPROACHES.
    IRIS: Hello.
    DANTE: Can I help you…Iris?
IRIS: So you know who I am?
    DANTE: Yeah you’re my aunt.
DANTE TRIES TO LEAVE BUT IRIS STOPS HIM…
IRIS: I wonder what your mother has said about me.
    DANTE: Look I gotta go.
IRIS: No wait. Why don’t we sit? Get to know each other. After all, we ARE family.
DANTE: Look I know what you’re all about okay. I’m not gonna sit and have anything with you. I know you tried to have Cory and Elizabeth’s father killed, and you weren’t very nice to my mom when she came to Bay City, so I have nothing to say to you okay.
DANTE LEAVES IRIS STANDING IN HER PLACE.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DONNA: I’m so scared Tyrone. I hate seeing my family suffer like this.
TYRONE: I don’t think you should worry too much about it. Everybody’s gonna be fine.
DONNA: How can I not worry? Vicky’s hurting. My grandchild is dead. Vicky disowned her daughter in front of everyone. Everything is just spinning out of control.
DONNA BECOMES A BIT DISTRAUGHT AND TYRONE EMBRACES HER.
TYRONE: Everything’s gonna be okay. I promise you.
MEANWHILE, ALLEN IS OUTSIDE THE WINDOW, AND HE TAKES A PICTURE.
ALLEN: You’re giving yourself all the rope I need Ty…to hang your ass.
MARLEY WALKS IN AND SEES TYRONE AND DONNA EMBRACING.

Carl comes face to face with Devin Lucas

AT KBAY...Iris, Amanda, and Allen are in Allen’s office...and Amanda has just made a proposal to Iris.

    Iris: Are you suggesting…?

    Amanda: A merger? Absolutely.

Iris: Allen...we are gonna need some privacy.

    Allen: I’ll be right outside.

Allen leaves and Iris turns her attentions to Amanda.

    Iris: Are you serious?

    Amanda: Very.

Iris: You forget...the last time we worked together you betrayed me. Then you got Matthew and Michael to take Cory Productions away from me when I had control.

Amanda: It wasn’t yours. It was rightfully Michael’s company.

Iris: When you thought he was Mac Cory’s son, but he isn’t. His twin is...was.

Amanda: Martin wasn’t married, so when he died, it went to Michael, and Michael divvied it up amongst us.

Iris: And I got control of Brava Magazine.

    Amanda: Print and digital.

Iris: Now you want to merge companies.

Amanda: And you know it would create a great situation for all of us.

Iris: Because you’ve got those connections. I’ve got Spaulding money.

Amanda: What are you gonna do? Use all your capital to bankrupt daddy’s company?

Iris: I should be running Cory Productions.

Amanda: This merger is a great opportunity for you.

Iris: Seriously Amanda? I can see the strings attached all the way down to Bay City Center.

Amanda: We would be co-CEOs of the new company.

    Iris: Not a...

Iris gets a text message and after she reads it….

Iris: Um...uh can I think about this?

Amanda: Sure, but don’t keep me waiting too long.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    TOPS

Mitch and Felicia sit at their table near the terrace, and Alison the server brings their drinks. First she grabs Mitch’s glass….

Alison: Pinot Grigio for you Mr. Blake.

    Mitch: Thank you.

Alison: And...club soda for you Mrs. Blake.

Alison gently places the club soda on the right of Felicia’s plate of salad.

    Felicia: Thank you Alison.

Alison: Jennifer went to the storage closet to get some more. We ran out. Have you seen her?

Felicia: No. Maybe it was time for her break.

Alison: I’ll go check on her.

Meanwhile, Christy emerges unseen from behind the counter, watching Mitch and Felicia, waiting for Felicia to drink her spiked club soda. Felicia and Mitch continue their conversation.

Mitch: I video chatted with my granddaughter today.

    Felicia: How is Jasmine?

Mitch: She begged for a car.

Felicia: Hmm I wonder what she would need with one of those.

Mitch: Matt texted me and told me that she would ask.

Felicia: I hope you didn’t...Mitch you’re enabling her.

Mitch takes a bite of his salad.

    Mitch: No I’m not.

Felicia: But from what you told me she crashed Lila’s car. She’s clearly not responsible enough to operate a motor vehicle, and here you go buying her another car.

Felicia chews her spinach lettuce and grabs her club soda.

Mitch: See you jumped the gun.

Felicia raises the glass to her mouth and then stops.

Felicia: How did I do that?

Mitch: I said I would get her another car...if she took defensive driving classes. When she completes those, I’ll consider getting her a car. Lila’s gonna tell me when she’s finished.

Felicia: You’ve got to teach her responsibility Mitch.

Felicia puts her glass of club soda back down on the table.

Mitch: I know that, but that what she’s got Matt and Lila for. Seeing her face...

Felicia: Jasmine is not a little girl anymore. She’s got to grow up.

Mitch: Felicia I can’t say no to my granddaughter. When you have a grandchild, you’ll fully understand where I’m coming from.

    SUITE

Lorna and Devin Lucas enter with their suitcases.

Lorna: Wow. It’s been so long since I’ve been in Bay City.

Devin Lucas is focused on his phone as he has just sent a text saying “I’m at the Center Suites downtown.” as Lorna continues, walking slowly back and forth, looking at the wall.

Lorna: So much has changed. This new ‘Bay City Center’. These two bedroom, two bathroom suites. Hello, can you put your phone down for one second? I’m talking to you.

Devin Lucas: I’m just sending a text mom. No big deal.

    Lorna: To whom?

Devin Lucas: Somebody back in London.

Lorna: I’m gonna take a nice hot bubble bath. I’m pretty wiped after that flight. Then I’m gonna text my mother and tell her we’re here.

Lorna goes into the master bedroom and shuts the door, and Devin Lucas goes to the door and makes sure that he hears the water running.

Devin Lucas: Sorry mom. There’s someplace else I gotta go.

    CORY MANSION

Carl answers the door and it’s Frankie.

    Carl: Frankie. Come on in.

Frankie: I got your text. I came as soon as I could.

Carl follows Frankie into the living room. Frankie puts her purse on the sofa as she sits. Carl sits across from her on the chair.

Frankie: I have to tell you. I don’t have a good feeling about it.

Carl: You’ve always had that sixth sense haven’t you?

    Frankie: So something is wrong.

Carl: Do you remember that evening at Tops? Cass and Felicia were telling you to stay away from me, and I had you look into my eyes. You believed in me. You believed that I had changed. One of the only people who believed in me.

    Frankie: Yeah. I remember that.

Carl: None of us at that time would ever have imagined that we were father and daughter; that Ryan was your brother. It made so much sense why you two had become so close. I see so much of him in you.

Frankie: The last time I was here, it seemed like you...were saying good-bye. What’s going on Carl?

Carl: I wanted to tell all of my children first before the party.

    Frankie: Party?

    Carl: I’m throwing a party...here...at the house...to tell everyone.

    Frankie: I’m lost.

    Carl: I have glioblastoma.

    Frankie: What is that?

Carl: The brain tumor I had before, has returned, and is more aggressive, and inoperable.

Frankie: Oh my God Carl. You’re dying.

    PART 2

    LORNA’S SUITE

Lorna walks out into her bedroom from the master bathroom wearing a white terrycloth robe and her hair wrapped up in a towel.

Lorna: Oh that bubble bath was everything.

Lorna gets her cell phone and makes a phone call.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

Felicia: Oh so you think I’m going to spoil my grandchildren like you spoil yours?

    Mitch: I don’t spoil Jasmine.

    Felicia: Yeah sure you don’t.

    Mitch: I don’t.

Felicia: Umm hmm. She knows she can give you those little puppy dog eyes of hers, whine like a little bear cub, and get anything she wants from you.

Mitch: That’s what grandparents are for.

Felicia once again grabs her glass of spiked club soda.

Felicia: I wonder if Rachel feels the same way.

    Mitch: I think she would.

    Felicia: I beg to differ.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Christy is hiding behind a plant, in her regular clothes, next to the elevator.

Christy (whispering): For God’s sake Felicia drink the damned drink!

    --------------------------------------------------------

Felicia is about to drink her club soda when she’s interrupted by her cell phone ringing, so she puts the glass down again.

    Felicia: Lorna?

    --

    Lorna: Mom hi.

    --

Felicia: What a nice surprise! How are you doing honey?

    --

Lorna: I’m great, and I’m also in Bay City.

    --

Felicia: Oh you are! Why don’t you join Mitch and me at Tops? We’re having dinner.

    --

Lorna: Okay. Umm I’ll be there. I have a surprise for you both.

    --

    Felicia: Oh...sounds mysterious.

    --

Lorna: It’s a pleasant surprise. There’s someone I’d like you to meet.

Lorna hangs up and walks to the common area but she notices that Devin Lucas is gone.

Lorna: Oh no. Where did he go?

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    CORY PRODUCTIONS

    Matt walks into Amanda’s office.

    Matt: Hey.

    Amanda: Matt.

Matt: Did you talk to mom or Carl yet?

    Amanda: Yeah. So shocking.

Matt: Poor mom. I mean she’s gotta go through this again.

Amanda: Well, with all of that bad news, I’ve got some good.

Matt: And what could that possibly be?

    Amanda: I saw Iris earlier.

    Matt: Annnd?

Amanda: Let’s just say I made her an offer she’d be stupid to refuse.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Iris walks up to a black car with tinted windows, opens the passenger’s side front door, and gets in.

    Iris: You finally made it.

Devin Lucas is sitting in the driver’s side

Devin Lucas: Let’s make this quick. I have someplace else I need to be.

Iris: There’s a crimp in our plan.

Devin Lucas: I thought everything was going smoothly.

Iris: It was. I got your grandmother to sign with KBAY Productions, which was essentially going to sink my father’s company, and then Amanda comes to me with this ridiculous idea of a merger.

Devin Lucas: Well of course you refused it right?

Iris just looks at Devin Lucas.

Devin Lucas: Come on Iris you’re not considering this.

Iris: She has connections that could make KBAY a huge conglomerate.

Devin Lucas: What about you and your limitless Spaulding funds?

Iris: I can’t drain my capital to back Cory Productions into a corner.

Devin Lucas: If you merge with Amanda then our plan is blown out of the water.

Iris: For KBAY to be what I want it to be, we need the connections Amanda has. They pulled out of the company after I tried to take over as The Chief.

    Devin Lucas: What about me?

Iris: I will make sure you have your place in the company.

Devin Lucas: You better not be lying to me Iris. It won’t be good for you.

Iris: I see the apple didn’t fall far did it?

Devin Lucas: Get out. You’re holding me up.

The car alerts Devin Lucas of an incoming call from Lorna, but he presses ignore.

    --------------------------------------------------

    TOPS

Lorna gets off of the elevator is on her cell phone

and walks past Christy, who is hiding behind a large plant.

Lorna: Devin Lucas this is your mother. I hope you didn’t go where I thought you went. Call me asap.

Lorna hangs up, looks around, notices Felicia and Mitch, and walks over to them.

    Mitch: There she is.

    Felicia: Lorna!

    Felicia and Lorna embrace.

    Felicia: Have a seat...please.

Lorna pulls out a chair and sits.

Lorna: Look at you. You look great. You’re glowing. Both of you.

    Felicia flags Alison the server.

Felicia: Alison get my daughter whatever she wants.

    Lorna: A dry martini.

    Alison: Comin right up.

Mitch: So when did you get in?

Lorna: Ummm bout a couple hours ago. That flight from London is a killer, but I took a bath, and I feel as good as new.

    Felicia: For now.

Mitch: The jet lag is gonna catch up with you soon.

Alison comes with Lorna’s dry martini.

Felicia: Oh I’m so happy to see you. You said that you had someone for us to meet. Where are they?

    Lorna: I dunno.

Mitch: I hope you’re staying a while this time.

Lorna: I’ll stay as long as I need to.

Felicia: Well this calls for a toast...to love and family.

    The three raise their glasses.

    Mitch: That includes grandchildren.

    Lorna: Yeah...grandchildren.

Felicia: Oh my God. Lorna you’re pregnant? I’m gonna be a grandmother? Oh we must drink to that!

Mitch drinks his wine, Lorna drinks her martini and Felicia drinks her spiked club soda. Christy, who is hiding behind a large plant near the elevator, is delighted to see it all.

    -----------------------------------------------

    CORY MANSION

Frankie: My God Carl I’m so sorry. Why now? This universe is so unfair.

Carl: The universe is very fair. It’s my payback for everything I’ve done. Karma.

Frankie: But you’re not that person anymore. You’ve got children and grandchildren. You changed. I saw it when you fell in love with Rachel, and we just started to get to know each other. This just isn’t right.

Carl: I don’t have much longer Frankie.

Frankie: What about Rachel? Cory and Elizabeth?
