Thank you for that. I doubt that Beacon Hill ever stood a chance. Upstairs Downstairs was so very British in every way that it's hard to see how it could be successfully remade by Americans. I mean, even the BBC failed to re-create the magic of the original on their feeble reboot attempt a few years ago.
That really was the death knell for Falcon Crest.
