So true. By this time Annie appeared less and less and after Kate's departure Joe became increasingly sidelined as well. This story with Kate was really one of the last he had. He spent the remainder of his time on the show mostly being stepfather to Rachel and Mark.

I find it a bit odd that despite the internet and access to all kinds of information, arguments and viewpoints society seems to have become more and more fragmented and people more and more intolerant and immune to reasoning. I wonder why?
