  1. You mean like Taylor did? 🤔
  2. No comment about Djokovic's record-equalling title win yesterday? His win meant that he's now tied with Margaret Court at 24 singles titles in the GS-tournaments. Funny that he achieved that tie exactly 50 years after Court's last title victory in the 1973 US Open.
  3. Congratulations to Coco Gauff! 👏 Sabalenka is a very one-note player though. She made no attempt to change anything even though her play obviously failed her today, especially her forehand. She just kept hitting as hard as she could....
  4. Donna Reed was horribly miscast as Miss Ellie. I could perhaps have seen her as a replacement for Martha Scott as Sue Ellen's mother, but as Miss Ellie she was so wrong in every way.
  5. I don't blame Scott for his acting. What else can he do when the material he's given is so abysmal? I'm often surprised that the actors on B&B can get through a scene without breaking into laughter due to the level of writing they have to deal with.
  6. You're absolutely right. I completely forgot about Sharon. I'm not sure they were very clear about her being raped, I think it was more implied (I could be wrong, its been a while since I watched those very early episodes), but nevertheless it happened. But it was a very rare occurrence for the show to deal with rape. I think it remained that way long into the 2000s actually.
  7. One of the signs that it's all about plot, plot and plot nowadays. I think there was only one (!) story about rape for the first twenty years of the show, and that wasn't even shown on screen, just talked about after it happened. And that was when Wendy Hotson was raped in early 1979.
  8. I recognize J.R. and Sue Ellen, but who's the third one supposed to be? Pamela? It looks more like Afton in a red wig....
  9. I guess they took their inspiration on that from the primetime soaps. Dallas, Dynasty and Falcon Crest all had grown kids still living at home.
  10. I guess it's says something about the current state of the show when this kind of discussion is what's keeping this thread alive....
  11. Do you mean the letter about Bridget's paternity? If so, then no, I don't remember ever finding out who wrote it. I always suspected either Mike or Sheila had something to do with it though. Those two were the only ones who knew there was doubt about the accuracy of the test, and at the time they both had reasons for disrupting Brooke's life.
