  1. I can't take Sonny seriously with that mustache. He makes me think of Zorro. Just needs the costume, lol.
  2. Ron would throw in some Hogan's Heroes references. Robert & Bill are still friends after all these years. They used to have weekly lunches but I guess those stopped the last couple of years. Bill did recently say he and Susan called Robert to wish him a happy 96th birthday.
  3. Seems like they're heading toward Sarah latching onto Eric next, with her comments today re having a crush on him (never mind that it doesn't make sense with what aired back in the 80s and 90s, since Eric was a toddler when Sarah would have been five, and still a child when she was a teen).
  4. It’s from the Richmond Times-Dispatch, November 8, 1953, page 12-A.
  5. Lisa Trusel and David Wallace interviewed with Darby Hinton (who played Ian Griffith, Melissa's parole officer and the hospital rapist, on Days). Some 80s flashbacks included in this one.
  6. Alice also encouraged Julie to marry Scott despite knowing Julie wasn’t in love with him, so she wouldn’t be an unmarried mother.
  7. Thanks @DRW50. I don’t remember seeing this episode before. I noticed Elizabeth Harrower is in the credits as an actress. Don’t think I knew she had appeared on Days before SSH.
  8. So sorry to hear this news. She was always a favorite. I remember her all the way back to when Kim was in love with Dan Stewart. Glad we got to see her one more time on The Locher Room.
  9. I hated Nolaerobics so much. I didn't like that she and Quint moved out of the Thornway Road house either.
  10. Yes, bless his heart, lol. I think this might have happened when they were getting ready to go to Kelly Louise/Stacey's christening.
  11. I think Floyd found out about what Nola had done re Kelly when Tony blurted it out after being mad at Nola (some kind of mix-up that he wrongly blamed Nola for).
  12. Some rare clips of Julie from the 60s and 70s are included in this interview, including one of Julie with Addie at the hospital just after Hope was born. All brief but it's good to know they're available.
  13. The Sarah-Renee story on Days sent me over the edge, lol, but it's all bad right now. The Grant/Price drama was the only heart-felt thing that's aired recently.
  14. I haven't liked the writing for Maggie in a long time but I'll always love Suzanne. Maggie overall is still one of my top favorite characters since I started watching Days. I still remember the summer Mickey showed up on Maggie's farm.
  15. Drake seems like the nicest guy in the world, but his pairing with Deidre was the worst thing for me as a fan (along with the writing) because of his acting. I know I'm in the minority with current viewers, lol. Marlena was one of my favorites before that and I still have affection for her. I was starting to enjoy her again when John was killed off. I don't think it's a coincidence that Deidre has not been Emmy nominated since their pairing.
  16. Robert changed his name to Charles if that helps, lol.
  17. I think they all look good, though Suzanne is looking a little puffy, but I give her a pass because of her illness, and her recent health scare. She always had great legs. LK does present younger, and has the most sex appeal, I think partly because of her real-life personality. Deidre is too comfortable in those blazers, I wish they'd expand Marlena's wardrobe, regardless of what Deidre likes. Susan has always had a hang up about her weight, thinks she's fat. She's said Deidre tells her she's just short (that's always been my excuse too, lol).
  18. @carolinegYeah, my co-worker and I used to say wish we could have one following us around, lol. Guess Days is too broke for that now.
  19. @carolinegThey did have that soft focus look for Deidre before she was let go in 2009. It was very noticeable.
  20. They did complain about the writing too. Even had a meeting with Maggie DePriest. Bill especially didn't like the way Doug was being written in relation to Hope. The meeting didn't go well and DePriest said she wouldn't write for them again. They ad-libbed their last lines in the final 1984 episode. They discuss it in their book. And, yes, they learned their lessons about speaking about the writing.
  21. Don't think I've ever seen this with a soap before. Warning about the episode coming up in which Nick rapes Althea.
