I saw CCB in some Hallmark movie and her acting was just terrible. I don't remember her being that bad as a child. Maybe she had more natural ability then. Or maybe it's some side effect of being in whatever bubble she's in.

Gunnar - wait until you see the next one I am going to try to put up (the Christmas one from 1983 that was up a few times) where he howls and hams at some random stalker of Barbara's. It's so hard to even keep track of James' schemes, he seemed to have so many. It's also hard to keep track of what they do with the younger characters, as I always thought Jay was her main love interest but at this time it seems to be Kirk . I agree with you about how believable this Frannie and Bob are as father and daughter. It's a shame that was not ever really developed down the road. I guess this is after Miranda was gone? Or was she still around? I have an awful time with the timelines. I was surprised to see Ariel in the Christmas 1983 one.

I get that on soaps everyone is an adulterer (mostly everyone), but this particular instance was so egregious that it just made her look terrible. Another fault of plot-driven writing.

Awful writing to have Diane go on about how she can't forgive adultery when she had an affair with Andy's father, a child abuser no less, an affair that helped send Jack to an early grave. AWFUL, AWFUL writing. Any damn time she's around the Sugdens, the show makes her look tin-eared, self-righteous, and annoying as hell. She's never been a mother to Robert and I wish he'd tell her to [!@#$%^&*] off and die. I'm bored to tears with it.

I'm putting up some of the episodes, sans commercials, that btm (can never remember their full handle as it changes a lot) uploaded on previous channels. They said it was fine as long as I gave credit, which I did. This is the first one, anyway.

I loved Julie but it cracks me up that even after 4 years she couldn't model for [!@#$%^&*]. This must have been one of their last fashion shows, other than ones in a blue moon in later years. This one is so odd and so labored...Lyla popping up for a minute to sing an uptempo song (not her strong suit) before leaving again...gushy Barbara. It's weird all around. And this is so contrived, you just have to love it. Pure Marland though.

He looks as skeevy as ever. It's more his face and hair than the jacket.

Cain killed a dog (two dogs, maybe). He also sabotaged the show homes, which led to the deaths of three people. I am not expecting to see Gordon or the other sibling but it would be nice for story, especially since it's clear that Paddy can't be his father and enabler this time around. That's a good idea about TJ. I wonder if they even remember him.

I don't like them to be overused (as April is starting to be), but I feel like they should have been a much bigger part of Carly's return than they were, especially since they're all Brenda has.

Did they recast Cathy and Heath Hope? I can't tell. I wonder if this means we'll be seeing them more. It's a fandom joke that they are never shown.

The spoiler says I'm pretty sure they brought her back initially to cause some drama with Rachel's return, and after that they likely decided to keep her around as a stunt casualty. I missed the worst of Tracy apparently. When I started back she was mostly just with Sam, and then got dumped for Rachel. Then came the Andy fling where various characters treated her like trash and acted like she'd raped him. I thought Amy Walsh and Kelvin Fletcher had good chemistry and I was sorry the story ended. Since then she's mostly just been flitting from one character group to another, which is why I think she'll die, but I like her. I have liked her a lot more since she and Val cut ties, as they're too similar. Her quasi-friendship with Jimmy, her scenes with Laurel and Ashley this week were wonderful, and I loved the scene where Joanie defended her from Rodney's misogyny. To me she's a real sparkplug character who livens up other characters and adds an easy type of comedy, yet she's also surprisingly heartbreaking every once in a while. She's a lot like the types of characters Corrie used to be able to make up to about 5 years ago. I do think she's toast, and it's not a big deal, but I'll miss her. I'm starting to wonder if only 1 or 2 characters will die. If so there will be a lot of fan and press backlash, although I don't care that much, as I doubt anyone I dislike is going to die anyway, and I don't watch soaps for stunt deaths. If they do plan to kill more than 1 or 2 I just hope they do it justice. I will never forget what they did to my Viv and my Terry.

Given the many times Danny Dyer, Rita Symons, the awful woman who plays Tina, et al. have tanked stronger material, I'm not sure why Jamie Borthwick should be held to a higher standard. The show is so full of unlikeable characters and middling actors that I don't think DTC can afford to be choosy.

I don't see Finn surviving this stunt to be honest.

It's terrible PR for that new Full House show. She must need the money. As for this Faris person, at first I thought they meant that woman who sang the "Gotta Be" song. I watched the video on Raven and he did have a few valid points, mainly about how she'd once been a role model and such, but it got lost under all the layers of trying too hard. Her hair is not flattering, but it's not worth centering 3/4 of your stuttered rant on.

Sadly I don't have the two episodes before that address his death, but I guess maybe it may have been mentioned. Either way, it's definitely odd. I'd actually totally forgotten about her absence until you mentioned it.

Not sure how many on here will want to see it, but among the few early '90s episodes I had was Henry's funeral. I'm glad I had seen the actual funeral scenes before, as otherwise I would have been unprepared and cried my eyes out. Sheila Mercier absolutely breaks my heart with just one look. The scene where Robert and Archie are having fun with Henry's hat, and the adults get upset, is a quietly powerful one, as it's a reminder that life goes on...whether you like it or not. I do think having the episode end with Chris and Kathy was a little disrespectful. The show seemed to be working hard to sell them as a big couple...which makes it all the odder how they were split up a few years later.
