  1. And oh he's with his kids, it's so sweet. He's an awful father. I just don't want to see it. The credits are odd in that so many people are rushed through, yet others, like that nasty Scott, loiter on forever.
  2. I think the election will be close. I think if Hillary wins it will be close. If Trump wins it will likely not be as close because it would mean a lot of people had to check their brains at the door and that tends to spread.
  3. Given that a number of our media personnel had the horn for Putin not long ago, I doubt it. These people are in for a rude awakening if their boy is elected. He is going to take a rusty hacksaw to the Beltway. And it's exactly what those pieces of scum deserve.
  4. Voter disenfranchisement, apathy, a media that is hardcore in Trump's corner, longtime dislike and fear of Hillary from many voters. We've heard nothing for weeks but talk of how Trump is so charismatic and is improving every day, while every part of Hillary's life is a scam. It will be close or it will be a solid Trump win.
  5. Who decided to put awful Ste and his rictus grin all over the start of the credits? It soured the whole thing for me. They're alright but I preferred the old credits.
  6. Wally was played by Michael Conforti, who went on to write for GL, right? He's kind of cute... It's a shame they didn't keep Suzanne Douglas around. She fits in well.
  7. After watching the episode, I can see why GL was still bleeding viewers at this point. The tone of the show is wildly uneven - there's so much odd camp and slapstick (the stuff with Simon and Jessie and Roxie - yikes), yet the Reva and HB and Kyle stuff is deadly serious. The attempts to root out the truth about India was much more silly in tone than they need to be. I didn't even know GL had any black characters by 1986. I like the bouncy closing theme. The best of this is probably the brief moments with HB and Reva. Larry and Kim always worked beautifully together.
  8. Ross does get a lot to do this week - yesterday was one of his better episodes in a long while. He and Pete seem to have swapped personalities though.
  9. It's going to be Gore vs Bush all over again. We just have to hope the public doesn't fall for it again. We know the media will do anything for Trump.
  10. Someone who has a lot of partial GL episodes was nice enough to upload this one, which I'd only ever seen on YT before with only the last 10 minutes.
  11. I have to admit I didn't know what Aleppo was either, but then I'm not running for President.
  12. Nauseating yet typical and expected spin on the night - both struggled, but it just doesn't matter with Trump because he has such presence! http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/clinton-and-trump-are-not-ready-to-debate-227868
  13. I don’t really know how long this will be on Youtube but I found it today so you may enjoy it while it’s there. The main stories are - Frank’s old love leaves as she knows the past is best left to the past (and that he still loves Kim), Lynn playing games with Chris, the Windsor family (Viv, Vic and kids) still adjusting to country life, and Zoe still adjusting to life as a lesbian. A bit of young Kelly, Robert and Donna. Sarah is pregnant with Victoria at this time. If you’re bored, try to tally up how many characters in this episode would have left town or died horribly by January 1994. Trivia note - Bill Lyons, who wrote this episode, still writes for the show today.
  14. Conan O'Brien? How odd. Why did that woman fake her death?
  15. This article sums up the fear I've had for a while, which is that Trump will win because the media just makes it so very easy for him, as they did again tonight. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/09/lauers-pathetic-interview-made-me-think-trump-can-win.html All he has to do is not take a dump onstage. I saw people going on about polls showing he could win Rhode Island and New Jersey. Are these solid polls or is this the usual fakeout to try to get the Democrats to waste time and money there? I imagine the media will be going wild over this.
  16. I saw a few articles blasting him for not calling Trump out on the Iraq war lie. I'm glad he's getting the drubbing he always deserves.
  17. I looked at Politico and it was "both struggled," which is probably as honest as they'll get.
  18. The media will spin this as showing his strength and a fresh spin on his campaign. I don't know how you guys can watch that lisping prick Lauer. I'd have a panic attack at the thought.
  19. Jill Stein seems like your typical far left twit who missed a historic opportunity for her party. Between the anti-vax stuff (and no I don't believe it's a media or Hillary campaign against her - she has a history of playing coy on the issue and it bit her in the ass), the cute tweet about Hillary's health that she promptly deleted, and this silly stunt of spray-painting a bulldozer or whatever in North Dakota (which accomplishes nothing other than getting her charged - maybe that was the point all along, I don't know), she seems to be nothing more than a gadfly who will get far more support than she deserves based on not being Hillary and on sucking up to Sandernistas.
  20. An article on the Mercer family, one of Trump's big backers. Most of the focus is on Bekah Mercer. It just underscores again that a lot of unruly and opportunistic people jumped on his bandwagon and the GOP - and America - will not be getting rid of their influence regardless of the outcome in November. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/donald-trump-rebekah-mercer-227799
  21. Thanks. Very interesting, especially the part about viewer feedback.
