  1. These last few episodes have been some of the strongest in a while - everything has more weight and an everyday quality that doesn't feel forced. I just hope that this isn't the usual new producer fluke. It's nice to actually be watching Eastenders again, not a jerkoff fantasy of egotists.
  2. It made me sad for when American soaps really were an industry to be studied. I asked if the uploader had the special but they didn't. Hopefully it will pop up eventually.
  3. Someone uploaded a May 1986 episode that had only been up before with the last 10 minutes. It is...all over the place.
  4. Short Y&R clip in the trailer at the start of this.
  5. Mitch did you get to watch that episode? I don't know if it's gone off yet. GL usually stays up though...
  6. The hypocrisy and irony chokes the air...much like the endless hair products of Trump and his twisted children. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-37421886?ocid=socialflow_twitter https://twitter.com/BCAppelbaum/status/778031002878967813?ref_src=twsrc^tfw
  7. One of the bigger casting shocks I can remember in a long time - they've actually managed to convince Georgia Taylor to return as Toyah. I just wish Janice were back too. http://www.itv.com/coronationstreet/news/casting-news-toyah-battersby-georgia-taylor-return
  8. Thanks. Where are those from? I think I remember the D2D but not sure where from. It's interesting to see them and contrast the lack of energy in some of the performances and direction with the overuse of music (back when they could afford that on a soap) to try to make up for it. Some are as good as ever, of course, like Larry Haines, Mary Stuart, Matt Ashford. The women are the main ones that seem to be off to me, aside from a few. That Suzi casting in particular baffles me. I do like Estelle, and that was a good, original way to introduce the character. Certain parts of Sarah's murder are very grisly and effective (especially the switch from her picture to her bloodied corpse), but the drag down the stairs was cheesy. Poor Jo. Gary Tomlin loved to have her menaced by psychos.
  9. What a silly thing to say publicly. No wonder she lost that 2002 election so easily.
  10. Possibly. I don't think he had a personal hate against the actors or anything. But it is odd to me that he rarely or never mentioned Maggie throughout his tenure.
  11. The first one has Joanne Dorian as Viki - the first I've heard of anything of her.
  12. Per Walford Web, Masood's last day is this Friday. I should be more upset than I am, but I'm glad to see him go rather than more of dealing with Carmel and walking in and out of rooms like an extra. Today's episode was one of the best episodes in a while - very well-balanced, even if some of the writing in places (like the Cokers) was clumsy. The scene where Sonia tore a strip off Shirley was perfect.
  13. I didn't know it had been 10 years. Sometimes it seems like much longer. Others like only last week. B&B was never the same without Sally, or Darlene.
  14. This clip is just priceless.
  15. Thanks. If anyone is in contact with saynotoursoap he may enjoy these too.
  16. It's great seeing all these. I noticed one was a July 4th episode but couldn't guess the year.

  19. Not even a few months. He wrote them out ASAP.
