  1. I don't think this is her but just wanted to check - is this Carrington Garland in the Avis ad?
  2. The healthiest in recent years was John Paul and James, and then John Paul cheated on him with Ste...
  3. Yeah it often felt off with other characters but for some reason it always worked when she was playing Felicia. Her work during the Jenna story was just harrowingly good.
  4. Linda Dano's beautiful tears were probably the most compelling part. I didn't know she was in tragedienne mode even then.
  5. They had sex last year when James told him he wanted ass for cash. I think that pairing was supposed to be a lot seedier onscreen than it turned out to be due to the chemistry of the actors. More recently they made out when Harry was mad at Ste for a whopping episode before going back to enabling him.
  6. I don't really either. I keep up via gifs and what fans say. That's about it. I will not watch any of the Amy death story. The only thing I would watch is if James and Harry [!@#$%^&*].
  7. DTC just wanted rid of anybody he hadn't cast. Petty. The guy who plays his son Joel is a pretty decent actor and also hot.
  8. I wonder if he realized he was a bit old for it. I'm not sure. He's become a decent actor and is still very handsome so I would say he could crack it, but you never know. I still wonder why EE wasted him so much. Typical petty DTC.
  9. A wall, in the frozen food department at Price Slice... Warren returned to the village as a broken man (yet again) because his beloved sister Katy (she was on the show from 2007-2008 - she was basically a moron who dated Justin) died of an overdose. Bart McQueen (the "bad boy" McQueen cousin I mostly remember for being in nonstop bad storylines) returned to the village several months later. Viewers learned that he and Warren's son Joel (who had left the village with Bart in 2012) had been doing drugs together and filmed Katy doing them, and were too out of it to help her when she ODed. Joel's guilt led him to become a priest. Warren was trying to turn over a new leaf after his early schemes back in the village (I think against that perpetual idiot Maxine) because she lost their baby and then he found out Sienna was pregnant with his baby. He found out about Bart's role in Katy's death, snapped, and killed him. He and Sienna are now playing hide-the-body, and then the other part of the story is waiting until he finds out about Joel's role in it.
  10. Eileen Fulton's face here always cracks me up.
  11. Please don't feel you need to keep quiet. I don't think you'll find much disagreement here. I think that's a great idea. I always thought the show should have tied the Bartons to the Barton family that was mentioned years ago.
  12. Compared to previous years they don't really bring in that many Dingles now, it's just more the ones they brought in mostly stay around. But I think the balance is a lot better than it was a few years ago. I still wish they'd bring in more Sugdens. @I Am A Swede I think that is actually probably too late for you as the Dingles are already around (Tina, anyway) but I got some early 1995 episodes if you ever want me to put them on Youtube. I realized I never put my thoughts on the funeral. I would have wanted more people there and a few returning characters, but I was more moved than I'd expected to be, as I thought I'd already got all my sadness out. The little bits like Arthur struggling to read his poem were heartbreaking, and that whole ten minute scene with Laurel and Ashley at the television screen reminded me so much of how soaps (American soaps anyway) used to be, about 30 or 40 years ago. It was a beautiful goodbye for John and Charlotte as partners. I liked some of the moments Harriet had in church as well.
  13. Well no (although it was heading this way), but oversimplifying things to get likes and retweets doesn't do much to help for arguments against Trump's warmongering.
  14. That's what I always wanted to see but the show will never let Harry stop being an unpaid carer (unless they are writing him out).
  15. That celebrity tweet - Trump is a dangerous and deeply disturbed man who is taking us on a train ride to hell, but the world was not in a stable place even before he was elected.
  16. It may be. I don't know anything about that story. Was that with Tante Helene (was that her name)?
  17. If that Peter Thiel story is any indication I wish the people of New Zealand a lot of luck. “Gay marriage, cultural tolerance, refugees, active strategies to address diversity — more than ever our leadership here is important,” Mr. Drury wrote in an email to his staff immediately after the election. He proposed setting a moral example by bringing “some refugee groups into our Wellington office.” I could swear I remember reading about NZ being more culturally conservative than this. Maybe they've changed in recent years. I just hope that businesses are not exploiting refugees for PR.
  18. 2002 was one of those years I wanted to enjoy a lot more than I did. I do think that things were turning around right before Taggart was fired. I just wish it had happened sooner, rather than Marah shouting to be raped, Philip/Harley custody stupidity, and Nancy St Alban making me root hardcore for a mobster and thug to take their child and never look back.
  19. 1990. Lillith was a real kick in the ass. I love her "surprise" entrance to Oakdale - on the catwalk as Duncan freaks out. It's a bit campier than most of Marland's material at ATWT, but then he used most of his camp in the Duncan story. I also loved the Lilith "jungle" music.
  20. CNN caters to bigots and hatemongers for ratings purposes. Jeff Zucker is a disgusting man. Why does anyone watch CNN?
