  1. Elizabeth Estensen can't film due to her age. Another reason I wish they had waited.
  2. Sad news. That cartoon was so underrated. I loved the arcade game. Did he do the voice there?
  3. If you need a laugh today, here is just one of the meltdowns about the Biden/Harris campaign paying to have their signs available in Animal Crossing.
  4. It's primary day in Massachusetts, where Alex Morse, whose 2018 predecessor isn't even voting for him, who is apparently a poor mayor, and whose campaign only got a boost because of several dubious fauxgressives who really, really don't like the idea of men in positions of power not being able to get sweet pieces of collegiate ass, is probably going to lose to Congressman Richard Neal (who is pretty lousy in his own right). Meanwhile, Joe Kennedy is almost definitely going to be taken to poundtown by Sen. Ed Markey due to bored Bernie people deeming Markey their new magical grampa in spite of, you know, his actual voting record, and due to Kennedy having [!@#$%^&*] all reason for running beyond his last name. (I read a few days ago that Kennedy reportedly decided to run to head off Ayanna Pressley when the seat opens up - well, that worked out well!). Steve Kornacki has spent the day tweeting out old Kennedy victories to, I guess, talk about something on MSNBC other than how bad Biden is. I will say that the ex-Bernie grifters and whoever Markey employs managed to make a much better ad than far left fantasyland types tend to make.
  5. Thanks. The clip was better than I expected. I do wish they had remembered Sandie, but no one does, so what else is new. The mention of Sugden cousins down south interested me. I wonder if that was just to explain why the funeral isn't happening in the village or if they may introduce some of them. Some fans were hoping it might mean the Skilbecks.
  6. Not sure why Politico is trying to frame Minnesota as a new swing state (W spent a lot of time and money trying to win it in 2004), but an interesting article nonetheless. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/01/2020-minnesota-trump-406280
  7. Those Arizona and Wisconsin numbers seem too high to me, but the others are probably about right. Florida tends to break Democratic hearts due to poor polling so I'm hoping they have made changes to make it more accurate. @Vee I was so disappointed when I saw why Dark Shadows was trending. Where is Angelique (who always knew how to make bad men pay) when we need her. Trump is completely incoherent at this point, where even proud Nazi Ingraham has to step in for him. Yet the talking points continue to ignore this and instead paint Biden as senile. I see why Biden made the speech he made, even if it will likely just alienate some on the left without garnering many votes elsewhere, but I hope his people aren't going to follow any more of the media carrot. They will never be happy, as shown here:
  8. Nia Long Made in America interview, new to Youtube.
  9. I can't bring myself to watch this, but Emmerdale's Twitter has a quote from the episode that says something to the effect of "If you had a fight with her you'd regret it." It shows how much Emmerdale has coarsened over the years. Annie had stern words with people, but you'd think from that quote she was like so many characters today who go around slapping and punching.
  10. This is post-ATWT, but probably a rare interview with Lucy Deakins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j74znvLp4W8
  11. Yeah, I decided to post his comments as well as I thought he did a good job debunking the lunacy. Sadly it has become conventional wisdom for some in both parties and much of the press. This gives him a real opening to just declare himself winner and not get real pushback beyond the protesters he's going to spend the next few months trying to turn into hate figures.
  12. One of the problems is many of the polls out now are junk polls, many deliberately created solely to help Trump and to lower Biden's average. One, called Trafalgar, openly admits to adding on points for Trump because of a "shy Trump" voter. This idea that everything is breaking toward Trump and people just don't want to admit it is one of the reasons the betting markets are now going his way and major players like JP Morgan are pushing him as the winner. I do think this is nonsense - there may be some voters who are reluctant to talk about supporting Trump, but I don't believe most of them would be reluctant talking to a pollster. However, it makes me wary of what they are planning. You have this narrative being pushed constantly by the press and finance. You have Trump and the party saying you can't trust voting. You have Ron Johnson saying "citizen soldiers" need to be out on the streets. The more time passes the more I am starting to think they may try to just declare the elections invalid - with heavy support from the media - and insist that "shy Trump voters" and the people out there in trucks and boats for him prove he won. And if there are protests, then the military and the police - and "citizen soldiers" will be ready and waiting. If so I just hope that some of the countries we've spurned over the years will try to help us out, if they even think we're worth bothering with at this point.
  13. Part of the problem is the narrative the media sets - which is why they have kept steadily trying to tell people to stop caring about COVID. Most people didn't care about Hillary's e-mails either but the media made it the story 24/7 and it tipped the election. They are doing this again and downplaying anything which might break away from that story (for instance, Kamala Harris gave a prebuttal to Trump's speech last week that was barely covered). I am just hoping it won't be enough. For now the polls haven't taken a huge hit. I think that will change, but whatever happens, Biden's team doesn't seem to be overly poll-focused anyway, which is for the best. I do wonder why Biden chose not to go to Kenosha. I know many see this as a mistake, a sign that he is ignoring Wisconsin. I don't know. I wonder if some on his team felt that it would come across as grandstanding and exploitation, especially since some pundits continue to insist he needs to have a "Sister Souljah" moment. If he goes there and tries to speak up it may come across as that type of moment, whether it is intended or not. Even now he is being criticized for his remarks for "extorting" the public with his speaking out against riots - so really, he can't win whatever he says. A part of me wishes there was a way he didn't have to say anything until after he wins, but I know that isn't how this works. So I just have to hope the damage isn't too heavy and the results aren't close enough to where Trump can steal the election.
  14. The polls were always going to be close - this will be an extremely close election, if Biden scrapes through - but rather than just accept this all along, many need to martyr themselves on social media because it gives them a sick pleasure, or they need to say "I told you so" because they are elitists and only care about feeling superior. Many in the Beltway love Trump and the GOP, they love writing Important and Profound thinkpieces about everyday Nazis who are big fans of Stranger Things or House Hunters, and they financially crave 4 more years of what we have now. And many in the party who always need to run to the media or always need to make everything about themselves are fine with encouraging the spiral. The polls will continue to improve for Trump, and they will panic and give up, which will only increase his improvement. Deep down this is what they prefer anyway - it's easier to tut-tut about Pelosi or "the squad" than to be in power. Well, they're getting what they want, so I hope they are happy. Swift Boat strategists and others who bailed Trump out in 2016 are back. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/08/31/swift-boat-mastermind-super-pac-trump-405519 More attempts at media-narrative setting about how good this all is for Trump and bad for Biden, with far left wing cultists happy to pile on. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/08/31/biden-trump-campaign-racial-strife-405578
  15. There really is no floor with these hatemongers. Scalise also has a history with white supremacists.
  16. Oh that liberal media. They will do anything they can to help Trump, and are making no bones about it. They hate you, they hate me, they hate everyone who isn't writing their checks. We have no value or use to the corporate media of this country. In order to have a path forward in this country the media culture we have now has to be checked and replaced by new voices. Otherwise we have no future.
  17. The show is pretty awful now, sadly.
  18. I still can't really even quite process his passing - all I can say is I'm glad that he was able to mostly live his last years free of tabloid intrusion, and I wish more people had appreciated his work as T'Challa but I'm glad he did at least know the impact he had. I thought this was a lovely tweet:
  19. The media is pushing a narrative against Biden 24/7 and Trump is encouraging more violence (and there was another killing tonight, in Portland - a hatemonger, apparently), so the numbers will narrow and continue to narrow. I think most people knew he would get a bounce. Frankly, I thought it would be more, but there is still time. Beware of a lot of the weird, slanted polling out there, especially those Yougov polls that keep oversampling Democrats so they can insist Trump is up 10 with independents. Meanwhile, Biden is going to Wisconsin to give a speech. I think it's not going to do much good, but I get the idea. The problem is the media pushed it and the media is now shaming him for falling into their trap. They have already made this a failure before he says a word. If any of his people did this because of the press I hope they learned a lesson.
  20. And now we have more of our usual Big Brother racism. (the "her" who is accused of stealing clothes is a black woman) This show should burn in hell at this point.
  21. That was that piece of [!@#$%^&*] George Will, right? Washington Post has a history of this - they propped up the awful David Broder for years too. Why people praise that paper as liberal I don't know. In other news:
  22. @Vee same old Brie Brie, whose campaign plans amounted to talking about how much she loved Joe Rogan. Sadly this "revolution" (where is Susan Sarandon now anyway...) stuff still has an impact, as many don't want to admit that they want to keep doing this every 4 years because it makes them feel morally superior and they don't have to do any actual work. Their attacks have not been as effective this time around (the Tara Reade mess, for instance), so I just hope their voting for Trump or staying home won't have a big impact. Anyway...
  23. I'm laughing enough at this to where my stomach hurts. I eagerly await media responses when Democrats try anything close to this grotesque display.
