  1. Thank you for sharing this with us. I know it was difficult.
  2. Not that it's a surprise, but a thread on what is in the works to strike down same-sex marriage: It's easier for people to just focus on marriage - it always has been - but never let anyone fool you into thinking that's what this is all about. They do not even want same-sex couples to have hospital visitation rights. They want us dead, and will stop at nothing until we are dead.
  3. I saw wretched grifter Krystal Ball claiming that the people behind the Amazon union were "Bernie bros." Krystal, of course, is very rich, and likely has no real use for unions. It's all about cannibalizing and capitalizing on them to keep the con going. As soon as I saw Bernie's face everywhere in this I knew it was no longer about the people at the plant or what they wanted or needed. Anyway...
  4. Thanks. That took an even darker turn. She seems extremely sick in the head.
  5. If any of you get MeTV, the next episode of Collectors Call (which airs on Sunday I believe) is going to have some Doctor Who collectibles, and included a glimpse of Lisa Whelchel dressed as the Fourth Doctor. It makes me happy that even after all these years, he is still the most iconic Doctor.
  6. The more I think about it the more I think someone from the GOP leaked this (I've seen a lot of speculation about Ginni Thomas) to make sure the votes go their way. If any of the 4 even thought about changing their votes now, or not going along with Alito's extreme positions, they would likely face massive repercussions.
  7. The only time the window was there to codify Roe would have been in 2009, and even then I am not sure because the Senate Democratic caucus was much more conservative at that point.
  8. Many of the powerful in the party or those who are powerful enough to be heavily courted are not far off Joe Manchin, who is probably overjoyed right now, when he isn't recording ads for Republicans, anyway: And sure enough, the media is already doing what they do best - deflect, distract, crawl up their own asses. We aren't meant to care about how many are going to suffer and die, we are meant to care about the process and the breaking of precious, prescious DC norms:
  9. They won't. Many of them do not give a damn. They won't be affected - they live in very liberal enclaves, they are wealthy due to their parents or grandparents. They will be fine. You will see Brie Brie Joy and friends working hard to focus all efforts on blaming Biden and saying there's no point in voting for either party. There are large pressure campaigns and media campaigns (because the media would kill every single one of us with their bare hands for access to one Trump interview) to go against abortion, birth control, same-sex relationships, etc. This is not just going to be about one or two things. It will be everything. Sodomy laws and any legal rights between same-sex couples, including hospital visitation or wills, gone soon. likely alongside laws encouraging that openly queer people be fired from their jobs. Birth control. Interracial marriage not far behind. This country is likely dead and I just hope people who can leave go while they still can.
  10. Can't wait to hear from all the people who insisted this would never happen. And this is just the start.
  11. Thank you for the OLTL clips/memories @Vee Jerry tried very hard there, in a very difficult part.
  12. Lisby played Calla Matthews, Lillian's sister. Ross and Calla were involved around that time.
  13. I couldn't stop thinking about this: Jerry had only been on GL for 6 years at this point, and had never shared heavy story with Charita Bauer. Yet here he was, put into the role of elder statesman, at 35 years old. Looking back, it is absolutely ridiculous, and shows you just how out of control the backstage situation at GL had become. Yet he wore it with such dignity and grace, as he always did. Jerry and Charita, treasures we can never appreciate enough.
  14. Heartbroken to hear this. Jerry was one of the most talented and understated actors I ever saw on a soap, or anywhere. He was also a truly beautiful man, inside and out. I don't think it can be undersold just how crucial he was to GL, even though they never fully understood it. To think that he went from being a sleazy lawyer to being one of GL's cornerstones - and it's longest-running cast member - in only 5 years speaks volumes. I will dearly miss him and I am so grateful I got to grow up seeing him on my television 3-4 days a week, every week.
  15. That was a genuinely gripping article. I didn't want it to end, especially on a cliffhanger. That show has been on so long and I have steadfastly avoided it for so many years now I keep doing a double take at the various people who have been on it. The legendary Debbie Allen? Greg Germann, the guy on Ally McBeal known for making women orgasm by touching their necks or whatever the [!@#$%^&*] that story was?
  16. So they brought Craig back and ruined his character just for the sake of another Leo vendetta no one gives a damn about? Ron is a destructive, talentless never-was, like so many other writers who have destroyed this genre.
  17. Once I saw that he made a jab about Afghanistan (which for all the talk of media criticism, is exactly what they would have done), I decided not to bother. I really don't like Trevor Noah anyway.
  18. She was so much hissable fun in The Parent Trap.
  19. My mother recently saw a bit of their concert footage and told me she didn't think Naomi looked well at all. Still, I didn't expect this so soon. Heartbreaking. I love the old Judds songs from the '80s, especially Grandpa, Tell Me Bout the Good Old Days. They were a key part of country having a more natural comeback in the '80s.
  20. Try this. https://www.4kdownload.com/welcome
  21. The full article hadn't been posted. His response is to claim it doesn't matter now because he was in his early 20s (he is now...26) and blathering on about fighting the leftists. And of course: We're going to be getting those dick-in-mouth photos by next week if this goes on much longer, I am increasingly sure.
  22. Yes, this was the most I've seen of Marguerite's Mamie actually doing anything, and I immediately got that vibe as well. I can actually believe it a bit more with her than with VRF, who was much warmer than the often very cold Abbott dynamics. The Mamie/John idea was extremely daring, but something that Y&R was likely too conservative in viewership to ever pull off. I think if Bell had been more on all cylinders the idea would never have gone through.
  23. With a man who has been accused of domestic violence. Probably better to just dump this.
