  1. I remember similar polls where GH viewers around that age said Lila Quartermaine was one of their favorite characters.
  2. She shows up about 2 minutes in and has later scenes as well.
  3. The full version of this episode (12/24/86) is up on Eddie Drueding's account. This version does have vintage commercials, so I am posting the link here just for that reason.
  4. That's fantastic news! I did not even know Shorty had any books. If you want to share your thoughts on them I'd be fascinated to read them.
  5. That's lovely. I'd forgotten Blue Peter was still around.
  6. I can't claim I saw 99% of her work on B&B, but as someone who always thought she was very underrated on DAYS, I'm glad she was popular with fans. Not that that seems to matter.
  7. That's what happens when Victoria and Nick are never allowed to grow up. The only thing I remember about Noah is when some fans thought they might make him gay.
  8. A Statement About Steve Halliwell | Emmerdale (itv.com) Just adding the official statement. Steve was a good actor, charismatic, the anchor for several generations of the Dingles. Zak really wouldn't have been anything without him. He was also extremely good in a small but important role in Threads, as part of the bunker team of "experts" who slowly succumb.
  9. Thanks. That sounds like it would have been interesting, but difficult to explain or put together.
  10. I do think Chris McKenna would have done a fine job with that version of Joey, but I doubt Frons would have wanted him anyway.
  11. She was. I rewatched that last year and it's still a striking film, with a much more compelling take on a gay relationship than you get often, then or now. I imagine Shirley's time at SB was marred by all the infighting, as she was unwittingly a big factor in the Dobsons lockout.
  12. I mentioned Massey as he'd been talked about more in the thread. Sorry. Anyone Leo goes near ends up paying for it.
  13. That's another show which has a lot of music (frankly, too much in later seasons as they used it as a crutch...so much so that they even joked about it themselves in one episode).
  14. I think after his last movie he's found a way to make himself memorable to a number of people...
  15. Thank you for tagging me. I guess this was around the time Nancy Pinkerton was leaving? Sorry to hear of his passing.
  16. André Braugher Dead: ‘Homicide’, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Actor Was 61 – Deadline This is just awful news. Braugher was always the best part of Brooklyn Nine Nine, in spite of a strong cast - he was genuinely hilarious, had great chemistry with everyone (especially Andy Samberg), and it was refreshing to see an older gay couple on a show who weren't just treated as tokens. Homicide was where I first saw him, and without him I don't think the show would have lasted half as long as it did. He was electric to watch, and the show took great advantage of that, yet Braugher never let the character become just a conduit for melodrama. He played the everyday moments with Kyle Secor or Ami Brabson (Braugher's real life wife) just as well as the flashy monologues.
  17. It's difficult to celebrate gay actors playing gay characters when those characters exist solely to prop up the eternal flop that is Leo. As shown with the trashing of Craig. Chandler Massey fans are actually lucky he's barely on as Leo/Will would be inevitable.

  19. Thanks for all the photos and trailers. I'd heard the Disney+ numbers aren't great, but I'm not that surprised as I don't think the show is that popular in the US these days.
  20. Considering how many times Jack tried to freeze her out or blame her for his daughter's self-harm, I think he's lucky she even stayed with him. Jack has always cheated on his partners, no matter what they say or do. I just think this story makes Stacey look kind of pathetic, but then this whole year has been plot over character for her. I don't get the sense this regime understands her, or most complex characters. I'm glad if people found anything to enjoy in the Panesars. All of that is automatic skip for me as there's only one person in the family who can even act and I'm tired of toxic gay ships.
  21. @Ben
  22. I was trying to figure out if the blonde woman at the start of this is Brenda Brock.
  23. He seems desperate every time I see him. The whole feels very cynical, especially the fans who are trashing her latest ex Joe Alwyn and praising him - you know he will be in the same spot in a year or two.
  24. 1929 Hungarian silent film recovered, remastered, to be screened in Budapest - Daily News Hungary
