  1. A Roseanne interview a year or so before the sitcom.
  2. That was beautiful. I'm glad they didn't seem to have the level of omissions they have had in recent years.
  3. I only keep up with the show through here but I had to watch the Monica clips. It was nice to see her. I tend to agree that the chair was a bad choice. Since we keep having temp recasts on the soaps, while we still have any soaps, is there any way the temp recasts thread could be reopened? @Toups @Errol Here's an interview with temp Joss from a few years ago.
  4. Hallmark is corporate. GAC is run by grifting hatemongers.
  5. https://deadline.com/2023/12/james-mccaffrey-dead-1235671289/
  6. If you have Amazon Prime/Britbox it's there.
  7. Didn't he leave them for GAC? (after hand-wringing to the gay fans who would be sent to the camps if some of those at GAC had their way [admittedly a lot of those fans wouldn't care as long as Donovan gives them some nudes])
  8. If Neighbours works out for Amazon, I could see them possibly trying an American soap - not sure they'd revive a soap that ended a decade ago, but it's possible. Either way, I think the days of Erica Kane are past us, unless she makes a few guest appearances. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos can stay where they are now - far away from anything I ever watch.
  9. To me it's the type of forced stuff that reminds me why I barely sit through the show now. I don't have any interest in a show that stalls out for most of the year for the sake of an overhyped Christmas episode.
  10. Oliver Hudson, Anson Mount, Tara Thompson, Penn Badgley, Johann Urb, Mitch Pileggi, Barbara Hershey, Alana De La Garza Directed by David Barrett After his grandfather's death, a young man returns to the family business of running a popular ski resort, and he soon faces off against the rest of his estranged family over running the resort.
  11. This is probably some of her higher profile work in a good while.
  12. I remember Lemay saying in his book that there was no established history he could use, as it was a lengthy letter from a Pat fan that told him about her background.
  13. I remember similar polls where GH viewers around that age said Lila Quartermaine was one of their favorite characters.
  14. She shows up about 2 minutes in and has later scenes as well.
  15. The full version of this episode (12/24/86) is up on Eddie Drueding's account. This version does have vintage commercials, so I am posting the link here just for that reason.
  16. That's fantastic news! I did not even know Shorty had any books. If you want to share your thoughts on them I'd be fascinated to read them.
  17. That's lovely. I'd forgotten Blue Peter was still around.
  18. I can't claim I saw 99% of her work on B&B, but as someone who always thought she was very underrated on DAYS, I'm glad she was popular with fans. Not that that seems to matter.
  19. That's what happens when Victoria and Nick are never allowed to grow up. The only thing I remember about Noah is when some fans thought they might make him gay.
  20. A Statement About Steve Halliwell | Emmerdale (itv.com) Just adding the official statement. Steve was a good actor, charismatic, the anchor for several generations of the Dingles. Zak really wouldn't have been anything without him. He was also extremely good in a small but important role in Threads, as part of the bunker team of "experts" who slowly succumb.
  21. Thanks. That sounds like it would have been interesting, but difficult to explain or put together.
  22. I do think Chris McKenna would have done a fine job with that version of Joey, but I doubt Frons would have wanted him anyway.
  23. She was. I rewatched that last year and it's still a striking film, with a much more compelling take on a gay relationship than you get often, then or now. I imagine Shirley's time at SB was marred by all the infighting, as she was unwittingly a big factor in the Dobsons lockout.
  24. I mentioned Massey as he'd been talked about more in the thread. Sorry. Anyone Leo goes near ends up paying for it.
