  1. Reposting this in case anyone didn't get to see it.
  2. That's so awful. My thoughts with Erika and her family.
  3. From AWHP: Diana Walker temped as Alice Frame on Another World (May 11, 1973).
  4. A 1986 Baltimore talk show interview with Guy Davis (along with Russell Curry and Pamela G Kay of AW). Watching this - Guy Davis got all the call-in questions. There was clearly some level of interest in Josh and his story, although obviously Rauch didn't feel the same way. It's a bit sad knowing all these actors would be off their soaps within a few months.
  5. A 1986 Baltimore talk show interview with Russell Curry and Pamela G Kay, along with Guy Davis of OLTL.
  6. That's a good catch. I didn't even notice. And I don't think Secret Storm ever even aired on radio. Those little moments are what make finding episodes instead of just reading about them all the better.
  7. That was fascinating to me. I associate this type of shilling more with radio soaps. The only other one I remember is I think a Search episode ended with a mention of Mary Stuart's album but that's not quite the same.
  8. It would also make them feel more invested and less like props. You can tell when you watch a soap now that a lot of "actors" like Steve Burton are just taking the same character with them wherever they go...there is no character to be found.
  9. Thanks for the articles you posted, which I never read until now. I can't believe they might have done a Dom/Patrick tryst in a season 3. That's just what I would have enjoyed (I would have made them endgame in the movie as well).
  10. Filmmaker Carlos Vermut Accused Of Sexual Abuse By Three Women – Report – Deadline
  11. Thanks! I don't remember it, but others might. I'm always so surprised when anything new to me pops up. @vetsoapfan @FrenchFan @Paul Raven @soapfan770 @Vee @Soapsuds @danfling @slick jones@dc11786 @soapfave06 @Matt @will81
  12. I think even calling it a good run is generous on your part. The whole show is hollowed out and ugly. At least you tried.
  13. The Oral History of 'Looking', HBO's Short-Lived, Groundbreaking Gay Series | GQ This is such a lovely photo; it makes me a little emotional looking at it:
  14. Anything involving Ryan Murphy is sick fetish material, and a poisoned chalice because it typecasts those involved. He was never staying on GH for long anyway but I hope he finds some better role beyond that filth peddler.
  15. Donald Trump is asked to pay millions to writer E. Jean Carroll for defaming her : NPR Even if she won't see a dime of this money (and I imagine she knows that), I hope it at least helps her peace of mind. It's sad we live in a country where this verdict will just make his supporters - and the media who would die for him - even more fervent in their love for him.
  16. NeighboursFans ran a poll for the most popular 40 characters on the show since it has returned. The results are interesting. https://www.backtothebay.net/news/2024/01/25/neighbours-most-popular-character-of-the-revived-show-revealed/
  17. The same ugly scene happened when Biden went to the church where Dylann Roof targeted and killed black parishioners. One woman who had lost her aunt to that scum spoke about how much their behavior upset her. The response of many on the left was, as usual, mockery, and thinly veiled racism.
  18. Always nice to see you on here @Ben . I keep meaning to share my thoughts on Neighbours but I'd love to see yours.
  19. One of the dead-end leftists who was dragged out of UAW's Biden endorsement ceremony - sure enough there are several tweets of her praising Trump. Here's one. So many on the left cherish Trump as their ideal because he says everything they want to say.
  20. The media has been relentlessly attacking Biden on this subject since the '20 primary, while presenting Trump as sharp, brave, and witty beyond human understanding. You can sense just how unhappy they are to have to admit that he is in real decline...so of course it has to be "both sides bad." SNL also made sure to start the last Weekend Update off with a torturous segment along these lines. What's going to make this whole con job even more desperate is that they can no longer brag they are getting any ratings boost out of their Trump obsession. The interest is not there this time around. It's just flat out carrying water for the moneymen. (I know it's Semafor, sorry) https://www.semafor.com/article/01/21/2024/inside-the-collapsing-us-political-media-industrial-complex
  21. That was over a week ago (I think I may have posted a link at the time but I don't post as much as I used to in here so maybe not) - it's good news but I'm not sure why they waited so long to talk about it, especially since Republicans can now just say well we won a seat in New Hampshire last night. Then again, it's MSNBC, what can you expect.
  22. Between this and the long puff piece in Politico about Charlamagne and his latest disillusionment with Democrats, the game here isn't very subtle.
  23. At the time there was some notice because he was a playwright (whether he was a respected one, I had no idea). I think he may have been responsible for the Fifth Street Fire which was supposed to rejuvenate the show (spoiler: it didn't). If he'd had more time he might have had an impact though.
  24. A rare artist who had a sweet spirit alongside a real bite. I love "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)." When people do retrospectives on music of that era I never feel like Melanie gets her due.
  25. Didn't he also want to pair David and Bridget romantically, which was vetoed, or was that someone else? GL had a real revolving door of headwriters at this point. Soon after this was when Douglas Anderson took over briefly (someone should probably write more about him too).
