I love your Slater avatar! Your support for that family is a great reminder of one of the times I got back into EE. EE never really leaves you after you first get that taste, does it. You can be away for five years, ten years, and then you're back again.

Love of Life Discussion Thread
Thanks for reading it. I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested. This is one of the first soap articles I have such clear memories of -- especially the part where Ron talks about Yvonne de Carlo. Yeah, I think LOL could have run a while longer with better care, and if CBS had cared more. The actors certainly seemed game. It is just wrong that Audrey Peters and Tudi Wiggins were not more prominent on soaps after LOL ended. I would have loved seeing Tudi on ATWT as some relation of Chris Hughes's freewheeling sister Edith. I can see her clashing with the staid Hughes family as Edith had gone many years before. And Rauch was so wrong to kill off Sarah Shayne. I think she would have been a major backbone for Reva's future stories, moreso than Hawk, who was never really a father to Reva. Tudi sometimes reminds me of Lily Tomlin. I'm going to type up the 1962 script in a bit.

From the 11/21/95 SOD. K-III Magazine Co I know all this is very serious martial arts but for some reason when I got this years ago the photos always made me crack up.

That's great to hear.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I liked Heather Rattray. It helped that she was the first Lily I remember, but I thought she was believable as Lucinda's daughter. The coldness about her had some moments of vulnerability, and she had a striking presence. She wasn't the warmest actress but I remember feeling for Lily when she had the miscarriage. Martha's Lily was often too weepy and hysterical for me.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I just watched the scene with Tanya, Max and Oscar that people kept talking about. I guess that little boy must feel very comfortable with them, he had none of that usual deer in the headlights mode a lot of child actors have. It was great how they tried to incorporate him into the scene instead of acting over him. Greg has that sort of "look" that a lot of the men they bring into Eastenders have. He reminds me of a more muscular Callum.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Good going Jean... I think they went out last year or the year before but they felt no spark.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
They had flashbacks of when Phil took Louise from Lisa, I think. I guess it takes away from realism but in cases like what's gone on with Kat and Alfie or with the Tanya/Greg stuff I think it would help.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I guess I keep seeing all the other stuff with Max and Tanya as distractions to the main goal. It will be interesting to see what happens with Greg though. They certainly could use more men in his age range. I wish they could have some flashbacks for when Tanya and Greg first met.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Someone at Walford Web said he's around for 9 episodes. If he fits in I hope he will stay but I just keep thinking he's there to be a brief obstacle for any upcoming Tanya/Max tripe.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I can't believe they actually wrote this on the BBC profile for Greg: I haven't seen the show yet, but since he's a short term character I'm going to try not to get invested.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
She seems to have a good sense of humor. Taking a shot of Hamesh's butt and then all that with Cheryl Fergison. I didn't know Eastenders did those. It seems very Hollyoaks.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I will never get the hype over Zsa Zsa. To the end I thought she was a cold, dull character with lockjaw. She was lucky to fit the type that is popular with a lot of online viewers. I haven't seen Thursday's episode yet but I did finish Tuesday's. Loved the rawness and the ugliness of the scene with Janine going off on Stacey and Jean. I also liked her conversation with Pat later where Pat ignored her baiting and gave her good advice. I'm so glad Pat is still active in major stories and is not following Bianca's dull kids around. Neil McDermott was very good in that scene where Ryan tried to tell Stacey he didn't want to have anything to do with Lily. You notice they deliberately showed scenes (pre-taped I guess) of Lily being happy as Ryan yelled and was hostile, just to stop complaints, I guess. Did Jessie call Janine by "Charlie" (her real name in Tuesday's episode? I am not invested in the new Lauren yet (although I also wasn't with the old one) but I did love that in Tuesday's episode she was wearing a Linda Lee Danvers Supergirl T-shirt. I sure miss her...- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I wish he could, but it seems like both Tittensor brothers have legal issues.- Radio Soap Opera Discussion
No. I think the writers would be happy. I almost posted one or two more of the Rosemary dialogues but decided they were becoming repetitive. I'm glad you enjoyed them.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
That all sounds very very intense. I hope it will be great viewing.- Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I agree. I think it's too much, and some of the worst new characters weren't even let go. And apparently he's bringing in a new family, - Another World Discussion Thread
