  1. This is one I forgot, from the May 1992 SOM. Last, I promise!
  2. This SOM looks at the best of AMC in 1992.
  3. I guess Julia made no impression on you until she was with Noah (they never did a lot for me). What did you think of MEK as Ted? I don't know if it was here or in a magazine but the comments weren't favorable.
  4. Early December 1993 SOM.
  5. If you're not looking closely the two guys beating him up look like Chris Rich and Ray Liotta. "So you don't think we can go on without Lemay? We'll show you!!!"
  6. I mostly remember those early "banter" scenes with Erica, and a big dog, and hot dogs, or whatever. That was the epicenter of Passanante hell. And of course he was soon revealed as a secret agent, because being a janitor wasn't interesting enough. I think at that time half of Pine Valley were secret agents...
  7. The best part of Laurie's story was her father, played by the underrated Robert Clohessy. They teased a romance with Liza for about five seconds. I think he could have been good - he was sort of like what they tried, and badly failed at, with Chris Stamp.
  8. I thought you'd like the Agnes interview Dylan Fergus. He was around for a few months but didn't do much, other than date Maggie. AMS, Bennett's only story I can remember is that he lusted after Kendall and I think they almost had sex. I can't remember. I liked him in the role. I wasn't too fond of McCartney in the role, he just seemed fake to me.
  9. This is an example of why I wasn't too sure about the celebrations over DADT ending, and soldiers coming out. The GOP base - which controls Congress and most likely, after November 2012, the White House - boo at a gay soldier. http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/09/audience-members-at-fox-news-debate-boo-gay-solider-video.php?ref=fpa I think this ban is going to be reinstated, or made even worse, by the GOP, especially since most of them have such hostility towards the idea. So much for supporting the troops. Now they're being jeered.
  10. I didn't know he was back in 1991 either.
  11. All the teen drug stories are usually bad, but I guess it was brave of AMC to try it at the time, and it made sense for Tim. I thought he should have relapsed when Janet got with Trevor in 97 (I know he went bad for a short time but don't remember if he did any drugs). Was it McCartney or Bennett who had the drug story in 2001? Sorry for posting all this together - I'll take a break for a bit as I don't want to clog the thread. I thought this stuff might be fun to read since a lot of you seemed to be watching AMC at the time of these magazines.
  12. This is from a mid-November 1994 SOM.
  13. 12/14 SOM I wonder if it was a publicity thing for her play.
  14. This is from a 12/21/93 SOM.
  15. Wasn't Bethenny initially single with no kids when the show started?
  16. Michael and Yusef actually are fairly complicated - but that doesn't mean Neighbours should be axed. Neighbours has had many complex characters over the years. It's silly talk. I liked Mickey, although many didn't. I never liked the father. Many feel that the family was destroyed due to the firings of the women who played Demi and Rosie - apparently Rosie went because of some personal troubles with the actress. Darren is good as a comedy supporting character, especially with Max and Tamwar. I will miss that.
