  1. I am watching some mid-2006 episodes on Youtube, and in one from May (this is around the time of the City-esque camera work as Jonathan tries to save Lily from Eli), Di is at Tad and Aidan's PI office (which I never saw by the time of the fall 2006 episodes) and she was going on to Tad about how she was going to get him back and they weren't and she knew they were going to be together again. Just a few months later, she seemed to be over him totally - what happened? Did the writers just drop this story? I know that she was angry with him for his behavior towards Dixie in the Madden murder trial but it's not like she was close enough to Dixie to be that super loyal.
  2. Just another treat from saynotoursoap. I thought this was such a nice finale. The scenes with Justin and his baby daughter were especially moving - can you imagine any soap today having a scene like that with a father and child? He would barely make eye contact and this would be seen as a big statement. It's always strange seeing Vivien without Iris. Never quite works. I also liked the ending for Judith - her schemes failing, but she still has some dignity.
  3. That, and the part about her becoming EP of OLTL when Marland passed on (I didn't think she became EP at OLTL until 1994 - or did she take over earlier? Or was she an unofficial EP?) I paused at, but like you said, it's been a long time. I also wonder if Eileen never really officially left, even though she was recast. I'm still glad the question was asked; hopefully it didn't distract from any of the other questions she did seem to have more to speak of.
  4. The credits of this era managed to sum up characters so beautifully, and elegantly. Brad's shirt removal should be cheesy as hell and instead it's actually very sexy and says everything about who he was. The other shot of this era which is so utterly true to a character, and the essence of Y&R, is Katherine and the necklace. Here's the green dress - with MTS working her best HBIC face. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0ia_SJ-ut8&feature=related
  5. I agree, the guy who played him did seem to be a decent actor, and I always wonder why they didn't use the character in a larger role, especially since they had no other men on the show in that age range (they wouldn't until Dave Phillips later in 1982). Did all of your family unit leave the show at the same time? I read there was talk of a spinoff for the Cummings family but that didn't happen. When you watch the episodes of that time, some of the new actors brought in are kind of poor - just comparing Susan Scannell's very nuanced and vibrant work or the solid work from the guy who plays Russ, and then some of the other younger leads who were brought in, many of them were very wooden and it took a long time for them to improve, if they did. I think that's why your work stood out for me, as it was a little green, but had real talent and potential. There was a very nice scene where Jill talked to Peter about her father and her lonely life - it was a poignant little moment, done just right. I also liked the scene where Jill was bluffing to Peter about the SATs. I think Jill brought something very different to the show.
  6. Thank you for posting. There are a few Another Life fans here, although there aren't too many posts. I am glad you were able to get in. A lot of the episodes you're in are tougher to find on Youtube. I'm not sure if I can post them here but if anyone wants to see them then PM me. What was the auditioning process like? What did you think of the actors who played your guardians on the show, and their little daughter? I often feel like they are isolated from the rest of the cast, which is why I really enjoy the scenes you have with Peter and Terry Davison. I wish they'd kept your character around, perhaps as an adopted daughter, especially to contrast with their saintly daughter, Lori? Did you get the sense the show was going through any transition when you were there?
  7. Newt seems to be sinking. http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/12/lowered-expectations-gingrich-says-he-just-needs-to-hold-on-till-south-carolina.php?ref=fpa
  8. The commercial must be on Youtube somewhere - a ton of commercials are put up. I'd never heard of that song. I guess she can be proud... RSW wasn't happy about how they had Bo react to Sarah's death so he may have just wanted them to move on. You've probably already seen this but back in April I posted another Fiona interview.
  9. You should do a hair feature on her. Her first two hairstyles were a lot different. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkr0hVexqTs
  10. This is random as hell. I wasn't watching ATWT much - if at all - at this time so had no idea MJ was brought back to testify in John's custody hearing. You can also see Roscoe Born in one of his short-term roles after he burnt his daytime bridges a year or two earlier. GL and ATWT were the first soaps to hire him again. And there's the OTT bitch Rosanna that I knew she always was underneath (I just wish Edwina had been there to comment!). And that temp Brad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aE4EyhyJFA&feature=plcp&context=C2a856UDOEgsToPDskLexdEc-Xmr74lJMVgET85x
  11. You can see that brief temp Brad (I guess he was a temp) when he breaks up Carly and Rosanna. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aE4EyhyJFA&feature=plcp&context=C2a856UDOEgsToPDskLexdEc-Xmr74lJMVgET85x

  14. Poor Misty Rowe - didn't she suffer enough with Hee Haw. The CJ and Al of that time were very good - great work in the episodes when they fell underground and the town had to save them. I'm going to post one more and then the rest tomorrow or the next day. Thanks so much for reading and commenting - knowing someone reads these is the main reason I post them.
  15. 4/19/94 SOM Again, apologies for bad scanning.
  16. I don't know. I think the story may have been postponed at some point - she came into the show with migraine headaches and then she was fine during the rape trial and early relationship with Bo, then they came back again.
  17. Best of 1992, SOM Yes, they're still together. They rewrote it to where it was a trucker, not Nora, who'd run Bo and Sarah off the road.
  18. And that was actually the third Larry Wolek.
