It turns out there are several other episodes I never even noticed saynotoursoap uploaded, as something went wrong with my subscription thing.
  2. Oh good! 1982 is one of those odd periods of the show I want to see more of, especially if there's any chance of seeing Quinn, Henrietta, etc. (not sure if they are in it or not), or Jamie. Were the Sheas still there at this time? I forgot to mention that Kathleen Layman MJ is briefly in the first 1986 clip. I know some here are fans of hers.
  3. Well, randomly enough, I just stumbled onto a 1986 episode I hadn't seen on Youtube before, so you can enjoy that. That's Christopher Cousins (Tina's great love Cain on OLTL) in the club scenes with Nancy McGowan.
  4. As always you find the most random things on Youtube. The unabashed romanticism of this would make Sheffer cringe.
  5. I think I did, yes.
  6. An interesting article on the newfound conservative hostility towards the working poor: http://www.tnr.com/blog/timothy-noah/98718/reforming-unemployment-insurance Meanwhile, the economy is again being kicked by Tea Party people in Congress, and what does the media tell us? More of the classic "both sides do it!" tap dance. http://www.washingtonpost.com/stop-political-funding-and-end-the-stalemate/2011/12/14/gIQAyn6G1O_story.html
  7. ATWT still seemed to be in a rough transition period at this point (1981-1982). I think it would have killed the show. IMO ATWT was a very New York show.
  8. You've probably already seen these but someone put an episode up last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8heDGVMmtI&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gb_5-7mIbc&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
  9. When it was announced that they were thinking of moving to the West Coast (apparently it got very very close to happening), SOD said Eileen Fulton would have been happy to go, as she wanted to also pursue acting opportunities in California.

  11. This was Roy Eudon, the Brad they hurriedly cast after the first left. I read that if the 90 minute AW had been a success, they would have made ATWT 90 minutes. It just shows the strange planning of P&G in these years - ATWT, which was having ratings erosion and a major identity crisis in 1979...time to expand to 90 minutes???

5/7/85 Digest. Also from this issue: The murderer's confession in a courtroom outburst on RITUALS is just the beginning of the action on the syndicated soap. Coming up ,watch for Katie's father to return. An adoption offer will create dissension in Mike and Lacey's marriage - but one of them may have a change of heart...and could a romance blossom between Sara and Detective Gates? Stay tuned...
  15. I am usually terrible at these things - I can't remember if I did the soap question right or not. Did you ever have to do any type of promotional appearances? It's very tough to find material on this show. The person who uploads the AL episodes gave me permission to post the link here. I know only a few of us watch these but in case anyone stumbles onto the thread and wants to learn more: http://www.youtube.com/user/phanta773
  16. Thanks for the extra details. I guess it worked out anyway, since it doesn't sound like there were any story roads left for Brandy. I didn't realize Nicole spent nine months in bed. What a waste - did they just not know what to do with Nicole once they brought her back? Even when they recast with a younger actress, they seemed to struggle for story. I was wondering if you could tell me if you know whether they were ever planning on bringing Bill Marceau back in another capacity, like mayor?
  17. At least Denise will have more to do this year.
  18. I think it's within guidelines. I am one of the few who don't have Facebook... I never know what most of the actors do after the show ends. Did you ever meet any of the writers or producers of the show?
