I wonder if one of the reasons they brought Leanna in was because of Brenda's exit. I have never really been able to buy ED Ashley as a mother, but then, making Abby 30 years old doesn't help.

Great to see Felicia and Mitch back together. They were a nice couple, lots of banter and tenderness. Grant must have really turned over a new leaf for Joe to go work for him. This is the second wife to go into hiding on Cass. At least now Frankie knows how Kathleen felt. You did a good job dealing with that Anne story.

When was Coral first seen or mentioned? On ATWT, Lucinda had a bunch of different male servants (usually young and handsome) over the years, all named Matthew. Liz Hubbard just kept calling them Matthew as some type of joke. So do you think we should all keep posting in this or use the thread started a few days ago?

These scenes with Jill watching John on Leanna's talk show just crack me up! Jess always does this ridiculous type of comedy so well and I love how believably fake Crampton always was in Leanna talk show host mode. You'd think he would see this as the ultimate low. Maybe they could have had it like in Greatest Show on Earth, and he was hiding because he'd committed murder.

I guess the likelihood of this man being the nominee (and very likely President) is at least alleviated by the constant awkward guffaws he gives us. How selfless. I can't get past "the trees are the right height."

It may have been one of those things where they never planned to bring him on at all. I know Agnes can be a fanciful writer but I'm not sure I can see her saying, "Hey, he's a circus clown!" It still baffles me that he came in right after they fired Mark.

It's not necessarily a bad thing if this is discussed honestly, but Baba is still deified.

I'm sorry if you already answered this, but what did you think of the Barney the Clown story? Did you buy him as Erica's father? I didn't realize they had those dreams or any of that (I wish they hadn't edited out the dream Erica had). It was so weird when Erica was rattling off Julie, Donna, etc.

I wonder if that was all the people on set at the time. Or they had to cut short for space reasons. I'm sure most of the cast loves her, from what we've heard over the years.

You do have a good point though. 1993-1994 changed Erica's character (and SL as an actress) for good, so I am always fascinated by stuff from that time. Seeing that much talked about Erica French maid clip, I was surprised at how playful the whole thing was, for an extended period of time, and how free and natural she was with Jack. In later years she always seemed very guarded with him.
