Fuller House
Wasn't he the one who scuttled the plans to keep the show on after ABC canceled it, because he wanted to move on? Now that he's known for little beyond a dozen flop shows and being the ex of someone who used to play Mystique, he's happy to go back, because he needs the show. They don't. He was on talk shows going on about how they wouldn't be back so I'm not sure why he's acting so upset that they're doing what he thought they'd do. He has always creeped me out. Ugh.

HBO: Game of Thrones
To be honest that's pretty much how I feel in any conversation we have had, here and in some other threads. No one is telling you anything as if you didn't say it. It's a difference of opinion. If you have that much of an issue with it, feel free to put me on ignore, as this isn't the first time you've seemed upset by something I've said. At this point, given the poor quality of the show and the repetitive arguments here, I think I will just leave the thread to you, and you can say whatever you want without being burdened by reading what I have to say.

HBO: Game of Thrones
What else would "walk into that room" mean? Unless I'm mistaken (and I'm sure you'll tell me if I am), she and Ramsay married outside, near the weirwood tree. They went into the room and he raped her. Cogman is saying she chose to marry him and chose to go into a situation where she could be raped. And yes, that is what some people think, although they don't put it into those words. That's one of the reasons why I've seen so many fans insist that the scene was not rape, because Sansa knew what she was doing. And I do think Cogman's words are ambiguous enough to where that may be what the show had in mind. Otherwise why have her learn about him at all, but to include that ambiguity? So we have scenes that amount to: - Sansa letting Littlefinger convince her to stay at Winterfell alone with no one to help her, Sansa assuming Ramsay would be perfectly fine, in spite of his family being known for butchering generation after generation of men, women and children, and in spite of someone telling her that she would likely be raped (which would mean that once again Sansa was again victimized after briefly having a glimpse of a happier future, as has happened to her in every single season now) or - Sansa knowing she could be raped, but still going through with the wedding, because the show wants us to see that in order to be a "player in the game," she has to accept what happens to her (as so many other women on this show, like Cersei and Daenerys, were raped in order to have access to power) Doesn't it sort of explain why some fans were so disgusted by the scene and struggled to interpret it as some incredible sign of Sansa's strength and power?

It probably is - I had it next to a scan of Pamela Toll from a 1971 magazine so lumped the dates together. I'll check again later. If you wanted to see the Adam Brewster interview just let me know.

Stroka was on briefly as Laszlo (Angelique's gypsy servant) in 1840, then vanished with no explanation. He was supposed to be in the opening shot of Night of Dark Shadows, so I guess there was no bad blood, but it was odd.

How awkward that in a story showcasing the alleged sexual tension of Ross and Debbie, Ross has far more sexual tension with the OAP gangster, Charlie. I know Ross has some daddy issues to sort out but it was glaring today as they talked about "a good hammering" and traded intense looks while having their faces pressed close together.

Dark Shadows Discussion Thread
For me 1840 wasn't the same after Daphne arrived. Kate Jackson was so wan and she had no chemistry with David Selby. This was also an era when Dark Shadows had very strong women - the women were carrying the show at this point and had been for at least a year - and she stood out as regressive. Lara Parker playing the ingenue role so strongly in DS' dying months just showed that Jackson was miscast in that type of role. Was the David Henesy replacement the Drew brother who got killed in the woods or whatever? It's always puzzling piecing together the cast issues for the show's last year, because of people who had lengthy absences for theater work, like Louis Edmonds. I know he came back for a few shows at the end but it wasn't the same without him for most of 1970, 1840, etc.

I don't remember. It is regarded as a ridiculous continuity error by many fans. I think by that point the show was just too exhausted to care about those things, sadly.

Dark Shadows Discussion Thread
Samantha was basically running Collinwood (as Justin Collins was insane) after her husband Quentin had been lost at sea. Gabriel, her jealous brother-in-law, and his scheming wife Edith wanted her out of the way. Gerard Stiles, Quentin's old friend, came to town to charm her. He was soon possessed by the head of Judah Zachary, a figure of pure evil. Complicating matters was Quentin's return from the dead. Samantha and Gerard married. All of this was riveting stuff, but once they brought in the 1840 version of Daphne (Kate Jackson, who'd previously appeared as the reluctant ghost of Daphne haunting Collinwood with Gerard/Judah in 1970 and leading to its ruin), she was severely sidelined, appearing just enough to wrap up her story (Daphne's sister appeared [the ethereal Lee Berry], whom Samantha had fought with in the past. She led Samantha to her death over a cliff [she herself had fallen off a cliff the last time they'd met], and we then learned she was a ghost). I'm not really sure what to expect out of her as Althea, because she's so different from Liz, but I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I'm right there with you. Until I got back into it last December I was just limited to The Doctors and soap reruns on Youtube. Even now, there are big dud episodes (like Monday and somewhat Tuesday this week), but when it's good, it's so much better than any soap on now. US or UK.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I can't really blame David after he was lied to on such a fundamental level even when he agreed to give up everything to move to Portugal. I guess they made it OTT so we would not side with either of them too much, but I don't think he was wrong. I'm just glad they've shown Adam being rattled, instead of having him slick about it until the reveal.
