  1. Well, this explains why Max has been so phased out. Jake Wood is leaving for a year. http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/eastenders-star-jake-wood-leaving-5775228 I kind of hope he doesn't return. I actually think he could have a good career in drama or even in the US. Or in porn. Hey...his choice though (I'd go for the porn though)
  2. The sheep troll through all these interviews from that location. It always makes me laugh.
  3. I think you have to turn your HTML on. I'm not sure.
  4. I gave in and clicked on the thread after the last episode, and saw some of the comments, which are basically my fault (I know they're done now and I'm only commenting after people stopped caring). I wanted to apologize for my comments - sometimes I've taken YRBB's posts and tone a certain way, perhaps the way that wasn't intended. It's easy to do online - maybe too easy for me in some cases. If I wasn't already fed up with the story I may have been more able to be reasonable. Maybe not. I don't know. Either way, I was in the wrong. Sometimes I comment instead of keeping my thoughts to myself. I don't dislike YRBB, and I do enjoy reading what they say on a lot of topics. My disappointment in this show colored my attitude, and I let them bleed into each other. I'm also sorry if anything I said caused any animosity toward ThePrinceofSunspear. I still don't have much to say about the show, and that's probably for the best. I just wanted to say sorry for what I set in motion.
  5. No. There was a year or two gap. I think she later described her role on Loving as being Trucker's sister and not much else, but the clips I've seen of it suggest she did have a fair amount more to do than that.
  6. 89-92, I think.
  7. Thank you for taking the time to do that. Could you PM me their address? I may also write. Did they say anything about plans for more episodes on Retro TV?
  8. I haven't watched much lately but I decided to watch today to see Bonnie Langford. I thought she did decently enough - a little OTT, but somewhat restrained by her standards. She blended in well with the cast, and I didn't just see a bad actress badly reading lines, as I did with Denise Van Outen. I like the idea of Vincent, and I think it's somewhat gutsy for the show to take this turn with a black guy in a lead role, but I'm going to need Richard Blackwood to stop slowly overemphasizing every word if he wants me to not cringe. It takes me out of all of his scenes. I do think he and Kim work well together. Sonia and Tina continue to embarrass me. They're infantile. I don't need to hear them talking about boobs or wearing each other's panties. It's cringeworthy and suggests the show sees lesbianism as a fetish. Speaking of infantile, the show's idea that Martin's love for Stacey and his plans to marry her would only work if he didn't seem like a slightly creepy idiot. It's all too prefab, and I don't get the obsession some fans have with Stacey being a Fowler. Yes, the Fowlers were the show's founding family, but they're mostly gone now, so why is it such a big deal? "Oh, the Slaters and the Fowlers together!" What does that mean? It's still going to just be Big Mo tripping over her lines like old houseshoes. I'm not sure why they're only making Liam more interesting just before they write him out. DTC really does some issue with writing for teenage characters. I like Donna a lot more now. Ronnie/Roxy/Charlie - pointless trash. They should just cut their losses and write Roxy and Charlie out. Have them run off together. I don't care. The Masood stuff was the best part of the episode - Shabnam feels like a real person amidst so many caricatures. The Masoods do in general. I just wish I wasn't so put off by the baby story, especially once it becomes all about Shirley.
  9. That's Betty's partner, Seth. Seth was on the show from the late '70s to 2004 or so, when the actor passed away. For most of that time Seth was married to a woman viewers rarely saw - she passed away offcamera around 1993, and the next year Betty, his old sweetheart from WWII, returned to the village. They were together until he died. Betty knew how much he loved the country and the woods, but burying him there was technically illegal, so she let them bury "him" (actually sand or something) in a grave, while she, Sam, Zak, Alan and Laurel secretly buried him in a wicker casket in the woods. When his dog died a few years later she also buried him there, beside Seth. Here's Betty's first scene.
  10. How abrupt. I wonder what went on here. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s13/hollyoaks/news/a649381/hollyoaks-actor-james-fletcher-to-leave-dylan-jenkins-role.html
  11. I guess we'll be hearing about Kyle being to blame soon enough. (or Kyle Eileen and Lisa Rinna)
  12. He isn't bi. It's just my headcanon. But we can always put it out in the universe.
  13. Emmerdale's Instagram has some nice behind the scenes photos (and a short video) for Betty's last day. https://instagram.com/itvemmerdale/
  14. Sam and Zak helped Betty bury the body.
  15. Porn jokes aside, I always sort of thought David probably did sleep with men as well as women before arriving in the village. If they had a story where Rakesh, who is apparently going to become more and more like American soap villains, finds out about it and uses it to try to keep him away from Priya, it would work for me. Emmerdale is one of those shows where I actually would buy much of the younger male cast as bi. It wouldn't take much work at all. Not Aaron, or Pete, but David, Ross, Robert (hopefully they won't buckle to pressure to turn him gay), Andy - even Finn, actually. I hope you tell us what you think of Betty's exit (her last episode is tomorrow). So far it's one of the better soap exits for a longtime character I can remember in recent years. It's not big or melodramatic but it's true to her and her history and feels like a tribute to the actress as well as the character. I've appreciated it. Chris Bisson interview. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s12/emmerdale/interviews/a649058/emmerdales-chris-bisson-there-may-be-hell-to-pay-for-jai.html#~pdEltYIN2wY2VS
  16. I saw that Tamra made a comment on the Duggar shitpile. I guess the world was waiting for her views...

  19. Someone keeps insisting Shadrach never beat Cain as a child and it's a rewrite. I could swear I remember this being referenced years ago. Am I making it up? I don't know anymore. That and as a reason for Alicia to return and then want to leave again. I hope not. I don't mind Megan but she serves no purpose - she's barely appeared since like February. As much as I dislike Jai, I'd think her being killed and him getting her money and companies would make more story sense.
  20. Thanks for all your help. If/when I find more stuff that isn't up at the moment I'll let you know.
