  1. As someone who is probably more into the YouTube world than anyone here, I probably should have posted this earlier, but Maisie Williams has started a YouTube channel. She mentions her wonderful friend and one of my favourite YouTubers, Caspar Lee as having helped take the leap in this intro video to her channel. There is a surprise guest appearance by a fellow GoT cast member. Not too hard to guess who it is.
  2. http://www.today.com/video/klg-on-her-days-of-our-lives-debut-the-worst-acting-ever-552750147849 The today show aired a 1976 clip from when Kathie Lee Gifford had a small role on the show. The scene also includes Brooke Hamilton (Adrienne LaRussa), Ed Mallory (Bill Horton), Joseph Gallison (Neil Curtis) and a rare glimpse of Susan Oliver's version of Laura Horton. A must see. I don't what exactly Brooke was doing in hospital, but I can only guess it was either because of her suicide attempt or when she aborted David's baby. Maybe someone here knows for certain.
  3. Oh, and I'm not even going to try and process John Middleton's exit or any devastation at losing Ashley, yet. Middleton has said he'll still be on the show late into 2016, so consider it me protesting the horrible earliness of ITV announcing exits from their soaps, for reasons I will never be able to comprehend.
  4. The new Connors haven't hindered the show in any way and Shayne Ward as been remarkably better than I had feared, especially after that horrific Sarah Harding mess. However, I hate that they had be labelled Connors. Michelle doesn't even seem close with them by any means and even Aiden's random past with Carla is unnecessary at best. I don't understand why they couldn't have just been completely brand spanking new. Plus, someone at DS brought up how Liam's Connor relations are never used at all. You'd think with all the times Michelle is said to be watching Amy, that single mother Maria would need some help taking care of her son. And this new batch hasn't even raised a small glimpse of interest in their little cousin either. It's just strange. I'm all here for Ken and Audrey. Maybe because I'm a newer viewer in the grand scheme of things with Corrie history being heavily lost on me compared to the other soaps, but I've thought they had chemistry even before Deirdre passed. Plus, ingratiating Ken into the constant Platt drama could prove a great success. With Jason leaving, I wonder what this means for Sarah. I don't think assuming a reunion was part of the plan at some point is too far afield. Other than Tyrone, the show doesn't really have any genuine good guys with such a strong sense of identifiability. If the show were smart, they'd strengthen a friendship between Todd and Sarah and have them move in together. I also wish this show realized the potential they have in Maria. She's excels greatly at two things. Being enmeshed with the Platt's and pissing off female characters enough to want to batter her. Her latest thrashing at Jenny Bradley's hands was one of the most talked about scenes of the year. Give her a good female rivalry. A more age appropriate woman could go after Luke, pushing her into the arms of Nick somehow, which could help lead to Carla's exit. Two birds, one stone and it would wrestle up old feelings of animosity between Carla and Maria as well.
  5. Thank God they have ended Ross' vendetta against Pete. That story was almost more tiring than anything Jai related. If Pete going to the police starts things up again, I'm just going to faceplant hardcore. I wish Chas' stalker was a back from the dead Carl. The logistics really don't bother me. I do despise how they've positioned Diane against her, if only because once Aaron is cleared I know I'll have to be subjected to Diane having to kowtow to her. I think a great storyline, probably the best in the show's history, could be the village all gathering together to rid the village of the Dingles once and for all. Again, logistics are not a concern here, either.
  6. Lindsey being the Gloved Hand was perfect. You could really tell the show took the time to plan out her psychosis issues as far back as Lindsey only being with Freddie because she was addicted to the danger of what he represented. The further reveal that the accident with Kath was no accident at all and that she wished she had killed her that day was icing on the cake. Bunny boiler Kim has been fascinating from jump and seeing her react to the person she idolizes completely fall apart was must see. The twist of Freddie being alive was a great shock and only added to the greatness of this twisted tale, and I have hated him strongly at times. I should have known Kirkwood wouldn't have killed his favourite Roscoe creation. Of course, the strength of this story continues with little Charlie knowing Lindsey murdered S'avage (who I couldn't be more grateful about for being gone). Darren and Nancy back in prominence is always good news. The recent DS spoiler about them battling true evil I'm guessing will now come in the form of Lindsey. And the recent article about them having a big story in the new year can only make this show stronger. Darren and Nancy leading the way has never backfired as far as I know. Honestly, the majority of this show has been so strong ever since Grace got her clown hair, it really doesn't get the credit it deserves. As schizo paced as this show is, things rarely come off anti-climactic. Everything is always "SO DAMN IMPORTANT OMG!" which can be tiring, but it is much better than the alternative that Corrie and EE constantly serve up. If only Tegan and Scott could be wiped from existence things would nearly be perfect. I'm so happy that Cameron is out of prison. That man is far too fit AF to be kept away. Plus, he did the viewers a huge favour killing the awful Lomax parents anyway. The brilliant episode he was finally jailed for his crime is one of the best soap episodes of the year. The actress playing Celine, who seemed to be an afterthought compared to Cleo and Porsche (whose exit will be a devastating loss) has proven herself to be just as strong an addition as her sisters. The tragedy and pain that came out of her character during the Gloved Hand was probably the strongest part of the story. When the new McQueen additions were first announced, I was extremely hasty, but I'm glad I have been eating spoonfuls of crow for many months. Lastly, the Patrick/Peri episode should be praised as well. It was so unexpected to see these two compare notes on their vastly different situations. That the writers found that they could connect them two in such powerful scenes was genius. And Carl, I think you asked before about the Lovedays? Well, as far as I'm concerned, they have not put a foot wrong so far. Continuing with the wonderful twists, that Lisa (Kiza Deen quickly showing herself to be a prize for this show) is actually some Sonia Albright whose sister is now being fostered by the Osbornes and the real Lisa is still out there just shows itself to be such a layered story. You should really watch the Loveday flashback episode. Speaking of, did you enjoy Rachel Leskovac (Natasha Blakeman) on Corrie, because shortly after this episode aired, the show announced that she'd be a regular. Her presence is sure to throw a spanner in the works for the Lovedays, so I hope she isn't a pill.
  7. Freddie Stroma cast as http://tvline.com/2015/09/04/game-of-thrones-freddie-stroma-cast-season-6/
  8. Time to put him in a home.
  9. I've never heard of this Tiffany, so this write up/history lesson was well worth. I have, however, heard of Carla. She seems like a real piece of work. There's a video montage on YouTube showing a lot of major deaths and as soon I instantly identified the clip in my head when you described it. It was interesting to see that Grace and Sam crossed paths with her. I do wonder how the show chose them, of all people, to bring back when they did. Would you ever want Guy back?
  10. Is Maxwell's return a short stint or is he sticking around? It truly does pay to be spoiler free. I wish I had the same will power with the other soaps. Regarding Curtis: That's another reason they shouldn't have abruptly gotten rid of Alex. Or, in my dreams, Daniel would return. Phoenix would fit as well.
  11. Danish actor Pilou Asbæk cast as ... http://tvline.com/2015/09/01/game-of-thrones-season-6-cast-euron-greyjoy/
  12. MAXWELL! What a nice surprise. Vinnie and Nicole are one of the best couples in soap. Congrats to them!
  13. Today was the story singularly. No annoying people to ruin it, if that helps.
  14. This was awesome!
  15. His senseless, stupid exit needs to be rectified. Just as long as he doesn't reunite with Maxine. They never had chemistry. TEXAS & DODGER 4EVA!
  16. I have no trouble believing Ste would be into Harry. He'll tap anything, but I don't think Harry would even take the risk of upsetting bulldog Sinead or that Ste would see him as anything more than a piece of ass. I really don't think they'll last long anyway. There's still John Paul and Ste's meet up at Christmas plan thread for them to deal with. Personally, Harry should have just had a crush on Zack or one of the cute Bigsby brothers, while Ste stayed with Sinead out of self hatred/loathing.
  17. It doesn't make much sense. That whole O'Connor section of the show, which sadly includes Tony, is such a downer to watch. If Ste didn't have HIV, I could possibly buy it, but there is no way Harry, at his age and with his lack of experience and confusion, would go anywhere near him.
  18. After a great week, Tegan comes roaring back to try and ruin it all. She is so awful. This baby switch story is such an epic fail.
  19. Grace and Trevor have become one of the best things about the show. Ever since Grace "killed" Mercedes they have been must see. Having Grace be bisexual and turning Kim into a bunny boiler have been huge wins. Sometimes Hollyoaks' acid trip soap opera can be tiresome, but today was just f*cking fantastic. Also, it's great that the least interesting killer suspect (S'avage) was ruled out today. I can't say enough how much I want it to be Celine.
  20. Looks like I may have to take a forced hiatus from the show since I can't find yesterday or today's episodes online. Devastated.
  21. Michael Parr's Instagrams about Ross' comeback.
  22. Toups explained how to do so in a thread I made in the support section. Feel free to use that thread for a practice run.
