So very surprised at this horrible turn of events. Edna was one of the characters that made Emmerdale special. Shirley Stelfox was one of those actresses that truly transitioned into her characters completely. A devastating loss.

Aw, good for him. He was pretty good on the show. He was one of the first new characters that was introduced after I first started watching. Time goes by so fast. I love Shortland Street movie time. They always knock it out of the park. So excited! The awkward silence as Bella ran her mouth about Boyd. Poor Bells. I understand the attraction though. Boyd isn't your typical soap hunk, but he's incredibly adorable, even if he can be annoying at times. But after the way he treated Brooke, getting his heart broken will be his just desserts. The whole situation does make me wonder if the show would ever put Bella in a bad light though. Can you imagine if she pissed off someone like Harper? Girl needs to watch her step. Victoria stays being the most shady bitch. Fascinating character, but Curtis putting her in her place was satisfying. I keep waiting for day that she just completely loses her damn mind.

Was it dumb of me to be surprised when Ali said he was Muslim? I wonder if they'll go anywhere with that. I think this was also the first time his girlfriend got a name, Sabina. Has the finale date been announced yet?

This has been a great week. The wedding stuff was superb and tonight's episode was just insane. Lucy Pargeter was so good.

My main man Darren finally gets the due he deserves. Nancy and Maxine are in love with him, and Grace is happily using him as a sex toy. The most logical thing to ever happen on this show.

Completely agree on Bella's feelings for Boyd and especially Drew and Kylie's relationship. Amelia Reid was so great in the moment Bella came to that realization. I can't wait for this wedding. Disaster is imminent, I imagine. If they actually manage to marry, that will be quite the feat. However, all this doesn't mean Jimmy has an expiry date. He's been good to have around. I keep fearing that Millie's older boyfriend is going to turn out to be Ali. He said he had a girlfriend that he rarely mentions. I'm probably dead wrong, but that's just what this show does to me. Margaret is surely headed for a hard fall. I will grimace at the day, because I know smug Victoria will eat it up. Someone needs to sort her out. Oh, and what wonderful news to hear Harry will be gone for the summer. He's been mostly MIA for awhile anyway. Still, it's nice to see the writers slowly start putting him on the path to becoming a doctor. I hope any future regimes continue down that path. And then there's Damo. He can die anytime.

The Bernice story is the best part of the show.

I wonder if Tess' husband will turn out to be Gordon. I just hope they're not bringing him on just for him to be an ass or some type of villain. That would be such a waste.

Ali has been a great addition to the show. He's just so inherently sweet and good. Him "breaking up" with Curtis in the kindest way possible ... I just love him.

In the most random thing ever news, one of the hottest WWE wrestlers, Finn Balor, visited the set, which just makes me love him even more.

Because of how much you, appropriately, love the character, I guessed it was one of the Dollys. Then cheated with Google image to see that it is Katharine Barker. I found it funny that after I mentioned my yearning for the Dingles to be run out of town, Emma basically said as much in the last episode. And even though she did lock Chas in the basement, Gillian Kearney is so damn good that her proclamations that she wasn't guilty had me believing her even though minutes before I had seen that wasn't true. Probably helps that Chas has morphed back to shrew mode. If only they'd let her hang out with Leyla/Vanessa/Carly, so she could be saved.

I wonder if Stacey's baby could be Ryan's. If only because his return amounted to him hiding behind a tree. You'd think a purpose would be necessary.

It felt so good seeing Nikhil trash Debbie. Emma perking up in the background was icing on the cake. How sweet of the writers to let her be there.

Girl is bold as brass. Good for her. DTC's first six months were near perfect, but it's just been one thing after another since David's departure. I honestly don't understand how it's the same people, actually. I will say, Letitia Dean has been doing her best to save it all, poor thing.

I really enjoyed the Sharma drama today. It's been too long since Priya had some focus. Jai's line about Priya being unable to run a bath, let alone the company was hilarious. I don't know why, but coked up Jai is the most tolerable he's been in ages. And that scene with Priya and Nikhil was must see. Seeing him go again is going to hurt so much.

Loved hearing that story. Good for him.

You didn't miss much Carl. The scene where Gavin was holding them hostage in the kitchen was so stupid. Fireworks don't light up in an instant. All they had to do was blow out the lighter, then beat up the old man. I don't dislike James Bye. He was good in the episode and the scene between him and Bex was sweet. I knew about the proposal, but not how it would end up and enjoyed the little twist.

I thought Michelle Hardwick, in particular, looked gorgeous. It's such a shame Nikhil's return is only short term. He immediately brought a sense of warmth and heart to the show. His reunion with David was adorable. And Carly blatantly asking David if he wanted to make out as soon as he got through the front door was hilarious.

I apologize if this was posted on this board before, but it's Joan Collins and Angela Lansbury. Surely, a double dose is nothing to be scoffed at.
