Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
The one small part I did like was Eileen not letting Sean and Julie into the house after they all left the Bistro. The thing is, after Todd was beaten up and they paired him with Tracy both characters worked so well together. Something more could have been mined there. At least Blackburn has said that Todd will end up realizing the importance of family. So his hating them is pretty much over for the most part, thankfully.

I watched that earlier today. I'm happy they brought him back as a regular. What I don't understand is how Home and Away is supposed to be the younger soap and yet their social media is so lacking.

Wow, Dion. I was wondering what your hinted speculation was about, but unlike in Emmerdale, I never clued in to Ameila Read being pregnant. I'm glad you didn't post that until now, because it left me to be surprised by today's episode. Considering this is poor Bells we're talking about, I have to fear that her baby is not long for this world.

When Victoria asked Robert what the Sugdens do when he was trying to comfort her, I took a big gulp. Never have the Sugdens felt more diminished as a family then in that moment.

It was so unnecessary to have Porsche lie to John Paul and even more ridiculous that he would believe her lie. If she had to push him away, he should have realized what she was doing and made sure to keep an eye out for Pete's machinations on the down low. At least the show is succeeding exponentially in making Pete a complete creep, but doing so with subtlety.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
This has been a great week. I'm still in shell shock that Victoria has a story. It probably won't last long, but I'll take every morsel I can get. Carl, you've made me so paranoid about Leyla and others. This week's shows did not help at all, either. She was one of my first favourites when I started watching this show in 2009. And after today, with the doctor saying Ashley could have epilepsy, I can't help but think that may come into play during the big disaster and have devastating effects. At least Val was hilarious today to help with my side-eyeing every other scene in worry. Finn saving Emma at the last minute was a good unexpected touch. It looked like she could have truly turned a corner, too. It's feels good to have a soap that actually keeps me on pins and needles.

Degrassi: The Next Generation
I stopped watching when the first crop were being filtered out and I grew up, as most people naturally did. However, Degrassi will be back one day in the future. I am certain of this.

I think so as well. His IMDb lists his only other credit as a film where he stars as a gay character with Daniel Brocklebank, currently on Coronation Street.

Did anyone else think that big giant thing would come out of the water as a zombie thing? Please don't be to bowled over by my intense technical termination.

Alvin, Carley Stenson has a video on that channel as well. I would never have suspected in a million years that he could sing. This shows me that Lee is really just all wrong for him. That video showed he could make me care, much more than his horrible angry emoticon faces he makes on the show.

Her personality is literally, "I'm a c*nt DIVA!" Not cute.

A random thought. I think Nicole Walker from DAYS would be a great landlady of the Rovers. Written at her best, with the many dark wounds of her past, the world always seemingly against her, she's sort of similar to the great Bet Lynch.

Shortland Street
The Hero syndrome story with Josh has been my favourite since I started watching. One of the best stories I've ever seen from start to finish. What are the details about the Capgras storyline?

Shortland Street
That's why I love Rachel. She is a true modern woman. Not wanting kids of her own, keeping her maiden name after getting married, being a fabulous boss QUEEN. If this was a US soap she would be a psycho villain or some such trash. Shorty is just such a breath of fresh air. Even now with this Alex story. It's being told so delicately and honestly. It's made me think what this show would do if they ever tackled a D.I.D (Dissociative Identity Disorder) story. Have they ever before? It would certinaly be much different then what we're used to getting as soap fans. And yes, I was talking about getting Curtis into the porn industry. Sorry for being such a shameless hussy.

A fitting send off for Betty. I am so happy we got that Seth moment. Having her new beau be a look-a-like was cute. Carl, do you know who else was there when Seth was buried, other than Laurel and Alan?

The same Gabrielle that had an affair with Chris and was my beautiful Lana's sister? She was before my time. Were you a fan? Was she popular? I forgot to tip my hat to you for your previous post and the "catastrophic event that continues to have repercussions to this very day!" There are points I just want to go mad, but whenever he reads Chris like a book it almost (very, very slightly) makes up for it. I also thought it was a nice small moment when Pixie (I think) asked him if he wanted to be a doctor someday like his Dad and he replied with an unsure, "Maybe." Already setting the seeds ... Soaps don't do much of that anymore.

HBO: Game of Thrones
She is my favourite character, but that was an amazing Hell Yeah! moment. I also admit to becoming giddy (I literally clapped in glee) when Tyrion met Dany. I will be devastated if Melisande somehow convies Stannis to kill his daughter. I'm guessing his fish wife will end up sacrificing herself to do the deed. Does anyone else laugh when someone says Winter is Coming? Pull the other one, show.

Rachel: Lucy, my brother Jonathan is gay. He tried heterosexuality for a time and it didn't work. Now he's gay all the time. This show just kills me sometimes.
