  1. Fascinating. But that is Brooke in a nutshell. It was always obvious to me that the writers loved writing for her. Even at her lows, they managed to keep her dignity in tact, something you don't see a lot of with her type of character these days. Was Bree around during any of the relationship with TK? God knows, Brooke's hands were much too full to steal anything with her and her momma around.
  2. No. I only started in August of 2012. Brooke is my absolute favourite character, though, so please tell me more. Or is that just a tongue in cheek reference to all the men she's stolen.
  3. Jessica Fox is a lucky woman. Nancy has gotten the best quality of men than any other soap character ever.
  4. Is it ignorant to say that it's hard to believe that Donna's dwarfism isn't a huge obstacle to her being single on this show? The shows attempts at putting her with Alfie, Martin, Fatboy or whoever else have just come off awkward and uncomfortable.
  5. Carly's feelings about Donna have yet to be explored on screen. She is practically a brand new character, however, I read an interview with Gemma Atkinson and Donna is one of the reasons Carly is difficult with Bob, on top of the abandonment issues. Emma only knows that Ross loved Donna and lost her tragically. Hadn't you already started watching by the beginning of the year. You should know this. And Carl, to disagree with you some more (sorry!) David and Alicia had already been solidified as a proper couple prior to this story. Proof being that they got the wonderful Christmas wedding, with Leyla shockingly showing up and being thrown in the closet.
  6. Emma doesn't want them together. She knows Ross' reputation as a playboy and clearly sees that he is hung up on Donna so has pushed Carly in his direction to help get him back to that. No way does she even remotely believe it would be possible that they'd become anything substantial. Of course, unfortunately for her, she has no idea how much it'll probably blow up in her face once Carly and Ross find out about each others connection to Donna.
  7. And there you have it ... Pania is a full-on bitch. The show hasn't had a character like this since I've been watching. Rachel lashes out when she feels helpless, Brooke may have lied and schemed, but she was never malicious. Having her treat Bella like dirt was a ballsy move by the writers. I did love her shutting up the horrible Clementine though. I also find it fascinating how they have brought on this kleptomaniac character and are truly treating him like he has an illness. Stuff like this you can't get anywhere else but Shorty.
  8. This is what JKJ looks like now. Brace yourself.
  9. With Jason Herbison confirming that someone will be killed off, it is being heavily speculated that the victim will be
  10. I like both Alya and Zeedan. However, like Luke and Steph, they could work without their useless elder family members.
  11. One of the most boring actors ever. Happy to see that Leanne will be free from that block of nothing.
  12. I never watched RH, but when you guys refer to Siobhan, should I be pronouncing it like it is spelled or like Shavon?
  13. I liked it. The creator, Michael Morgenstern, has done some other really good short films (Shabbat Dinner). Plus, I always thought David Gregory got a bad rap on this board.
  14. Leanne is going to be getting a major story again - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a634415/coronation-street-domestic-abuse-story-planned-for-leanne-and-simon.html#~p6y64KopxPKOLn
  15. This is pretty cool. Reunion! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s15/home-and-away/news/a633914/former-home-and-away-actors-hold-reunion-in-la-and-post-class-photo.html#~p6m1CPPr7A1fQr
  16. I would love to say never. Tim is the best thing that has ever happened to Sally.
  17. Blackburn said they would never reunite under him.
  18. She's already been sacked. When Eva left, they needed someone to take her place. Eileen volunteered, but she was horrible, as was expected. Liz, Michelle and Steve were too cowardly to fire her until Friday's episode where Steve mistakenly thought Liz had done so and put his foot in it. Eileen will now use online dating to meet 'Adrian', which I think you know about from the All Soaps Casting thread. The show has some great things going for it: Sally/Tim always being a highlight, the imposter story is good, except when it comes to Michael (who ruins everything), the Faye pregnancy story has surprisingly been done well so far and continues to look promising with Owen leaving (Hallelujah!), the Tracy/Tony affair is alright, but Tracy gets tiring quickly, the Dev triangle story was entertaining and the Jenny Bradley return has worked really well so far, especially for Kevin, but I don't have faith they'll continue doing it justice. I do think it's kind of funny/strange that Nick, Carla and Leanne all don't have any story currently. And I really do think they have been slowly building something with Audrey/Ken, which pleases me, but who knows what will happen with Kirkbride's passing. I'm indifferent to Luke/Maria (I almost forgot to include them) as I think he deserves someone more exciting. I find she's at her best with Audrey and David; part of the Platt family. Callum annoys and Todd, unfortunately, is awful. And I will never understand why Mary is permanately stuck with the olds. The actress is not even 40 yet.
  19. When it comes to Emmerdale, we can only hope for a nomination. Like the year Jane Cox should have won, but the undeserved Jessie Wallace got it, even though she's barely given a good performance since she returned and even said in her speech that Cox should have won. Or Michael Parr and the Donna story last year and probably countless others.
  20. The cute nurse, Darren, will play in story some more. Compared to the hideously freaky looking guy he is a welcome improvement. You not knowing anybody's name always gets me to smirk. I think you're talking about Paul, Val's gay son with Rodney. The grieving older husband is Eric, the actor with the most longevity on the show.
  21. A Tale of Two Cities (1935) - This was a damn good film. Ronald Colman gives one of his best performances, Donald Woods was a total babe, and in the best scene of the film, the great character actress Edna May Oliver, gets into a catfight with the villain of the piece. I never thought I'd get to see her like that, but it made my night. And Donald Woods, someone I either haven't seen or never took notice of before, struck me as someone that I easily could have pictured in the modern world, which can sometimes be hard to do with people in their "do's" from the past. This also must be one of the first narrative films to use narration. I was almost caught of guard when Colman's calming voice talked and the end.
