Tad And Dixie Kiss On AMC

After suffering a setback in their search for daughter Kate, Tad and Dixie take a tentative step toward reconciliation this week. Blame David for the Kate-related stumbling block. MMT says that David's passion for Dixie has returned full-tilt. The love is real, but you know David; when he's really in love, watch out. Vincent Irizarry says that David's MO is simple, "I'm going to get the baby back for her so that she'll love me again." David is very hopeful that he and Dixie can get closer to each other and there is a belief in his heart that that is possible. Especially if he greases the wheels a bit-and in the absence of a solid lead on Kate's whereabouts, David concocts a false one and "helps" Dix pursue it. She is so grateful to David that she submits to a kiss, but Tad catches wind of his rivals machinations and shows up to expose him. Dixie is furious with both men and walks out. MMT says that at this moment, Tad and Dixie are in that love/hate kind of place. Their push/pull continues at the casino bar, where Dixie has gone to drown her sorrows. There, a fight ensues-followed by a passionate kiss. Cady says, "It's heavy man! She says that Mike and her, just go back, ya know? And it's still there. We've never been a couple in real life, but we've been a couple in an alternate life since I was a teenager. There's such a deep resonance there. But it's not necessarily about falling in love all over again. Cady says for Dixie to be with Tad again, psychologically, it's just danger, danger, danger. He's someone she gave everything to and it was just so much pain over and over again. Speaking of pain, time is running out elsewhere in the Valley for the one man who can lead Tad and Dixie to their child: Greg has had enough of being buried alive and is about to reveal Kate's location to his captor when a tremor hits and begins to pour dirt into his shallow grave.

Dixie makes an extraordinary request of David on Monday, July 3. On Tuesday, July 4, Kendall is thrown for a loop by Ryan's declaration of love. "She's totally in the dark about his feelings for her," Alicia Minshew observes. "There's all this subtext in their scenes that goes over her head. She'll say to him, 'I love you,' in a nonchalant way as a friend, and he'll want to answer her back and proclaim his love-but so far, he hasn't."

OMG, David makes up a false lead, that's low even for him. This breaks my heart. If he did this kind of [!@#$%^&*] to Erica, I'd want him to burn. How anyone could want David with Dixie after this, is beyond me. As much as I hate Dixie right now, David is slim at this point too. What is MMT doing to my Doc?

That's the point, after what Dixie did concerning JR she deserves David. Becaue now I can't stand Dixie, JR and Babe.

It is still well within the realm of David's character.... especially when he is with Dixie LOL he gets the most psycho when he is with her but Tad and Dixie kiss yipee! Love that spoiler. Sounds like Tad/Dixie are gonna be having alot of scenes in the coming weeks. So I take it Dr. Madden is never uneartherd or is 2 months later and then hence the murder mystey ensues. Just like Cambias on the meat hook...

Tad deserves someone like Brooke, who is awesome. David deserves someone fun and challenging like Anna which unfortuetly I don't see anyone on the canvas for him yet. Dixie deserves to be alone after all the stunts she has pulled. She needs to be redeemed first and it hasn't been done yet

Making up a lead isn't out of the relem of David's character, but doing so in the name of a child and a missing one at that, is. This is what Dixie does to him, makes him act all out of character, and even mean. He lost Leora and while I know his so called "love" for Dixie is sick and twisted, using an innocent child like this, is way out of character for him.

Make me so sad.

I always remember the scenes in the jailhouse in 2001 after David got arrested for LDZ, when Dixie came to see him, and she in esseence told him he was the scum of the universe and that he deserved to be behind bars and she hoped he rotted there. And this man turns his life upside down for her, why? She turned her back on him when he needed her the most. She believed the worst in him, and that there was no good in him and was content to let him rot in jail, and now he's back under her friggin spell. This is not my David. My David would never, ever use a child, a missing child, like this....never.

See, the one who really needs him, is Erica, yet he can't be anywhere near him. They replayed those same scenes at the jailhouse in '01 with Erica coming to visit him this time. She came to break him out.lol To help him get the chance to be the man she knew he was again. She knew he was good, and that he didn't deserve to be in jail, and she told him that. She's always been on his side, and yet, he's not even allowed to speak her name? Why?

Why must David always be the cartoon villian, [!@#$%^&*], for Dixie Martin?

I guess we must expect just about anything from Dr. Dave (one of my all time faves, btw), but there's just something about him creating a FALSE lead to finding Kate that doesn't ring true. I think he'd do anything and hurt anyone in his own special chemical way to get Kate back for Dixie. That road leads to a true chance with Dixie. David has a weird kind of love for Dixe but it was about getting Dixie to love him for real and that way leads to nothing but doom for his chances.

I would think Tad and David would have a tremendous competition or race to find Kate, maybe be forced to exchange info or follow leads while one still tries to outdo the other. David's demented in his own way but he is not stupid and going the false lead route is stupid and hurts Dixie in a way that David has a consistently demonstrated sensitivity, the loss of a child.

Does anyone get Connie Fletcher/Erin Lavery as a hottest newcomer? Was that a fan vote or mag designation or just ABCD PR? Erin is not popular online. I ain't crazy for her (well any Lavery, really...if I must keep one lest McT's PV imploed upon itself Laveryless, Ryan may stay until the end of Cam's contract )

But he did do it, so you can't say that he wouldn't in a million years use a baby to further his agenda.

I still hate David for what he did to Miranda, and Bianca. That wasn't my David who did that either. I don't care how many times people tell me "this and that" about why he did, I know that David, if written true to form would never betray, Bianca, Miranda or even Erica for that matter.

But in his defense, I see this differently, because he wasn't promisng Bianca that he would find Miranda, and then tomrenting her with "fake" clues about her, just to get her one his good side. I think this is more vile for some reason. I think because he's using Kate to try and make Dixie love him. I just find that sick. As horrible as what David did to Bianca/Miranda, he never used Miranda or her return to try and make Bianca forgive him.

My point is that David never set out to use Miranda against Bianca. It hurt him, and made his guilt flare up when he would see Bianca with Miranda. He wasn't like Babe, and never put Mimo in Bianca's arms and spewed about how she would have been a wonderful mother. He didn't use "Bess" to his advantage, like Babe did.

He's using Kate, and the fact that she's missing, to manipulate Dixie. I beg to differ with anyone who says he really wants to find Kate, if he did, he wouldn't lie to get Dixie to love him. That's what this is about, his sick "love" for Dixie.

No he didn;'t tell her about Miranda, but he didn't use knowledge against her.

It's a pretty AMC-heavy SOD this week. Wonderful Julia Barr interview where she praises Felicia Behr, avoids the topic of McTavish and talks about a beautiful letter she once got from Agnes Nixon, where Agnes thanked Julia for gracing AMC with her presence. I love Agnes even more now. She also implies Agnes is no longer involved at AMC at all (as if there was any doubt).

Also ANOTHER Amc actor (anonymous) is complaining about the writing...although it might be Walt Willey. Hard to tell from what was said who it is.

Could the good ship Megan McTavish finally be sinking to the bottom???
