In my opinion, I don't think she gave it enough thought. She didn't even try to work through it; she just threw it away.

I agree. Two decades of marriage and she seemed to give up quickly. I think when she found out he slept with Leslie again, she just turned off any idea of reconciling with him.

Wasn't Bill supposed to be investigating Andre?

I've been ringing this alarm since December. God to see it mentioned again by other folk.

Is it dropped? Or is this another case of a storyline going away to resurface again?

Dani's and Andre's little dreamworld sequence would feel so much more effective if weren't just filler. Make it actually mean something. Tie it to some plot to Dani's modeling days or better yet, Andre's jetsetting playboy life. Andre doesn't like to be photographed. Add that in. Andre's former life holds dozens of plot line possibilities. Use it. But a silly skit relating to nothing is............nothing.

I just said the same thing and went back and saw your comment. Exactly what I wanted to say. What purpose did it serve? I liked the nod to Blaxpolitation films in Dani's fantasy, but it was just filler. Also, Andre's acting reminded me of his early days on BTG and that's not praise.

The plasma story is still so (unnecessarily) convoluted. Unless Lynette actually is dead and Lia killed her, how are we to believe that Lia is sooooo ruthless but hasn't gone after the person responsible for her predicament? And why did Jacob spend weeks "convincing" Grayson he was a dirty cop (he was not convincing) instead of just offering him immunity and making him a confidential informer to begin with? Just to name a couple of things I was preoccupied by during these scenes.

I like Kat best when she's sleuthing. I hate to say this because the plasma story is such a drain but, with the connection to the clinic, etc., it could be fun for Kat and Eva to have to work together somehow in the conclusion and at least develop a mutual respect. We could use a breather from the "feud" (and endless exposition about said feud).

The massage table set is a great idea! You would have the option to have characters who don’t usually interact with each other, getting massages in the same room. And yeah, how expensive I don’t know why the writers are stuck in a holding pattern. My litmus test on whether this show will last is how they end the Hayley/Bill storyline. This is currently the “soapiest”, most high-stakes story the show is doing. They’ve been building it for a long time. If they bungle the climax and ending of this story, I may stop watching the show. I love spending time with the characters but I want to watch a show where at least OCCASIONALLY something happens that makes me EXCITED for the next episode. Right now, I’m not excited. I enjoy it while I’m watching it but I don’t think about the show when I’m not watching it

I agree with this assessment. I probably won't stop watching, but I would be disappointed if Hayley's last stand is a bust. This week was still dicey but I am excited for the rest of May sweeps.

Regarding the Kat/Ea feud, it's probably too early for something like this, but there should be a situation like on OLTL when Dorian was ousted from the hospital and she always thought Viki was the deciding vote, then years later, decades even, she finally learns/accepts that Viki actually voted in her favour. I don't know how they would do it, but I would have Kat be the Viki and Eva be the Dorian is said situation, which would spur Eva to go full throttle against Kat and really give the rivalry some juice.

A good rivalry needs to have new elements introduced from time to time, otherwise it becomes one note. And it should be rested after atime before the two protaganists come back into conflict.

For the plasma story to have worked we needed a bigger scope eg see the clinic rather than a small bag being handed over in the elevator and a brick wall. And more people involved eg someone who is relying on the plasma who Smitty could get involved with to show their side of the story. Could be someone June knows .

I agree with all of your points! As far as the plasma story is concerned, you’re spot on about how they should have built a set for the clinic and had Jacob and Smitty meet somewhere besides a brick wall. I know budgets are tight but come on. For example, why is the set for Caffeine Fix so sparse? I’ve seen high school drama clubs stage plays with more intricate sets. Maybe they should call the local community theater troupe to come to the studio and spruce up the sets for Caffeine Fix and the infamous brick wall set. I’m sure they would impress us all with their frugal ingenuity.

Thoughts:

  • I can only imagine the feeling of anticipation that Anita must be feeling about receiving her final chemo session and then ringing the bell. Such a life-changing moment.

  • Ooh. Ted is not having it where Dana is concerned. It is overdue for him to lay it out for her. Period.

  • I am not liking this attitude that Tyrell suddenly has right now. Jessica is not the be-all and end-all, young man.

  • So sweet that Vernon was there day one and now he is there on the final day. His connection with Anita is so strong, and it is beautiful!

  • Derek's hardon for Grayson is ridiculous. And the fact Dana is the one that needs to have this conversation with him is also hilariously ridiculous to me.

  • Oh no. Is Jacob going to spill the beans on Grayson's involvement in the plasma ring? Oh, that would be very, very dangerous beyond words.

  • Nathan would be escorting Francesca Belleclaire. Nasty flocks together like birds of a damn feather.

  • I think it is awesome that Eva is going to be doing Jessica's and Samantha's hair for the cotillion. And I think it is cool that Samantha wants to involve June in it, too.

  • I did not need to know that Dana's "lady parts" have never been the same since giving birth. Nor should Eva know that.

  • Well... it looks like Jacob is going to drop the bomb. No bueno.

  • I am genuinely surprised that Derek did not take credit for his mind being changed and was honest that it was changed for him. See, that is what we call growth.

  • Dana was that needed? Lord. She is insufferable and beyond inconsiderate. So judgmental. Good on you, June, for putting that heffa in her place and for feeling her oats while doing so.

  • Samantha Richardson-Smith, there is zero way that you are more mature than Tyrell. That is hilarious to me.

  • Ashley, no, no... if only you knew what you were saying right now... you would not be saying it.

  • Dana, you just found out that Barbara Mitchell was your mother... stop acting as if you went your entire life without her like you knew of her being your mother.

  • Kind of Ted to extend the invite to Izaiah... I am sure that is not what Dana had in her delusional, unhinged mind.

  • Yes, Naomi, let's tell Ashley at her job, where Lia Whitmore is her boss, and right by the very public nurse's station. So smart.

  • Beautiful sentiments by Anita. Beautiful.

Notes:

  • Slater and Tate did outstanding work on today's script. It felt like it had such a natural, easy-moving flow, and the dialogue was strong.

  • More amazing use of light to create the feeling of dawn. So amazing.

  • I am so happy that they included the bell-ringing moment. It is truly an emotional event to attend, so I am glad that Anita was not alone in doing it.

Jacob swore her to secrecy yet she runs to tell Ashley in the middle of the hospital

Do the writers want us to dislike Naomi? I often think it's a one step forward, two steps back situation with that character. She seems to have inherited the worst traits of both of her parents Dani and Bill. She bullies and takes her spouse for granted like her father Bill did to her mother while being a nosy buttinsky and blurting it out at the worst moments like her mother Dani.

Instead of the show doing those pointless filler fantasies of Dani/Andre.. they should actually look at the character of Dani and really delve into her toxicity and how that damaged both of her girls in different ways. Naomi grew up not wanting to be like her mother (i.e. letting Bill cheat and walk all over her) while treating Jacob just like her father Bill treated her mother Dani while Chelsea is emotionally immature due to the domineering hold that Dani had on her with Chelsea resenting Bill because his cheating made Dani take out her frustrations and lack of control out on Chelsea.

Plus, like others have said, Andre not wanting to be photographed is a clue to something from his past and wondering if he witnessed something or it has something to do with the death of his parents years ago? I think the popularity of Dani/Andre (not planned by the writers) made the writers keep them together.. but not have anything to write for the two other then those filler fantasies and constant love scenes and talk. There is so much that could be written/mined from this coupling that hasn't been mined thus far.

Derek should never have to grovel to Ashley. Writers.. Derek can do so much better.
