Just watched Friday's episode. Ted and Nicole, although I'm not rooting for them to get back together, they were kind of hot together for a minute.

I finished watching the last three episodes. While I'm not sure if I truly am a Ted/Nicole stan, I enjoyed their scenes. Sadly, I do feel Shanice is going to get hurt.

I loved the eye candy we got in Grayson and Smitty. I wouldn't mind more of the guys going shirtless on a more regular basis.

Oh, I forgot to mention Ted is an idiot. Why does he continue to have a soft spot for Leslie???

Overall, I give last week a B+.

It’s funny how I agree with everything Jessica says but she’s portrayed as a dimwit SJW to laugh at. This show can be so condescending.

It’s apparent to me the show has been coasting for whatever reason awaiting the Cotillion and possibly the renewal. I’m expecting things to pick up dramatically because right now I find myself looking at my phone the whole time.

It was weird having Smitty of all people being naked for that long with his father-in-law. Speaking of shirtless: Jordi brought back so many memories 🥲

Sorry Joey must d!e a painful death.

I really want Deanna to off him and Vanessa to take the fall to protect her.

BTG fully preempted for CBS live coverage of European soccer semifinals
All over USA and Canada
Semifinals began Tues, April 28 and Wed. April 29,
and the remainder happen Tues. May 5 and Wed. May 6.
No new episodes on those four dates, not even online.

Link to thread about preemptions

Y&R and B&B will have new CBS episodes on those dates
but USA western timezones will be impacted for Y&R and B&B,
so you might have to watch one or both of those shows on another channel, at another time, overnight, or online.
Canada will have Y&R and B&B at normal time in all timezones

original release date: Monday, May 4, 2026 | writers: Michael Montgomery, Jazmen Darnell Brown | director: Steven Williford

Thoughts:

  • Dana is unapologetic, just enjoying being in the country club on the anniversary of her imploding it with her secrets. Shady. And looking like some garden granny while doing it.

  • Grayson, I do not think leaving is going to help calm Ashley's worries. At all.

  • Love seeing Anita and Naomi catch up over some tea. Nice seeing their relationship continue to develop and play out.

  • Bill talking about Vernon just walking into his office without knocking... hilarious. Everyone walks into that office like that. Ha.

  • Shanice needs to be careful about what she says to Lia, because without knowing it, she is giving the wrong person intel they do not need to know.

  • I get what Bill is saying about Martin, but it is clear both he and Vernon want what's best for him, but that there are different ways in which they see fit to help him.

  • Very interesting that Lia entertains Katherine. Despite being a Dupree, I doubt she is someone I could see having a conversation with Katherine. And now Lynette is emptying accounts. Wow-za.

  • Ashley, I get it... Grayson is gorgeous, but now is not the time for sex jokes at all.

  • Yup. Lia is not going to crack via Katherine's questions. And she clearly has no time for her shenanigans, either.

  • Dana, you really cannot read the damn room, can you? Lord. Enough is enough.

  • About time someone stands up to Ted for being nice to Dana, and I am glad it is Martin, who seems unimpressed by his father's bad choice of actions.

  • Nicole devoured Dana right up. Hilarious. She owned her right up.

  • Uh-oh. Miss Ashley is officially in trouble if she is being watched by someone. No bueno.

Notes:

  • So happy it is a Montgomery script day! His work as continuity producer comes in handy for his scripts. And Brown continues to be one of the top scriptwriters this soap has. A perfect match.

  • A character-heavy episode, which helped it feel quite full and active, which I did like.

Lol! This child is so out of control. I wonder if they have plans for her to pay for what she did to Laura.

-- Shanice is talking to Nicole about Ted. Really?? I don't think she'd be so clueless, and it doesn't matter she didn't remember it was "anniversary day."

-- This "Anniversary Day at the Club" is actually hilarious, as if it's some seismic event in everyone's life that no one can get beyond.

-- Kat is entirely right to keep Eva at arm's length and to have negative feelings about her. Eva still refuses to hold Leslie accountable for ANYTHING. Nothing that Leslie says or does is too far for Eva.

-- So Ashley moved on from Derek because of his lies, but Grayson's lies and cover-ups are all OK. Got it.

-- This plasma storyline has to end soon, because it's getting harder and harder to believe. Jacob and Grayson were beaten and stabbed, so what do they do? Return to the brick wall to plot. Huh? None of it makes any sense.

This show has potential but it’s so boring 95% of the time. Lots of treading water.

From what we've seen thus far on this show, it still defies logic as to why Leslie waited so long, especially if Ted is indeed Eva's biological father. I hope the writers explore this because there has to be more to this story than what we've already seen.

I've stopped hoping for anything from the Plasma ring storyline, other than that it will end soon. When Dr. Lia gets collared and sent away, can we replace her with Dr. Monica McCormick, please? I know she specializes in oncology but her shifting to COS wouldn't be a ridiculous shift on a soap. Make it work BTG writers.

Once upon a time, I thought Bill might run against Martin for a seat, but I forgot about that but recently, I have started to wonder if Bill might serve as a block to Martin's higher ambitions for a Senate seat? Also, it's quite weird that Martin is supposed to be running a re-election campaign and we don't see hide nor hair of an opponent. I remember soaps of the past where characters ran for public office and we usually saw an opponent onscreen fairly early on in the campaign, even if it was an opponent that was onscreen for that storyline arc and then petered out eventually. I don't know, it just doesn't seem real with no onscreen opponent.🤷🏾‍♀️

So as not to sound like a broken record, I will spare you, dear reader, from my thoughts on the awkward dialogue between characters, especially those that wouldn't normally have a justifiable reason to interact. Or the contrived decisions to have characters 'just happen' to bump into each other. It is what it is, I guess.

I wouldn't say it was boring that much of the time, but I totally get the treading water analogy. It does seem that stories seem to circle the airport for a long time. It's like ok writers, please move this a long.

I hate to bring this up again, but a few sets would do wonders. Last Friday, Chelsea and Kat mentioned getting massages at the CC. There have been several mentions of characters getting massages or how incredible the massages are at the club. It wouldn't be difficult to create a small room with two massage tables and some other decor. The reception area could be the check in area where they tell guests which room to go into. That conversation between Chelsea and Kat would have had more visual appeal if they were doing it while getting massages at the club instead of the hundredth time we see them sitting at the club.

The same could be said about Chelsea and Madison at the gym. Wouldn't be too hard to take a corner of a set and add a punching bag. Add a few little elements to make it seem gym-y. Some background noise and it would have been visually more appealing than Madison and Chelsea doing whatever they did in the locker room.

I appreciate you sparing us the broken record! Though, to be fair, if we removed the 'contrived' run-ins and 'awkward' dialogue, the episodes would be about six minutes long. But I’m sure the writers are just waiting for your script to arrive in the mail so they can finally learn how the pros do it.

Seriously, can we see your better scripts.
