I did say ''moments'!

This feels like the last gasp of trying to make Britt work sans Jason - all these sweaty attempts at having both Rocco and previous hater Lucas (since Brad was not a prominent enough gay to cosign her, obviously) declare their newfound adoration, along with softer scenes with Emma - but I've been wrong before. Still, it follows a very familiar trajectory of other forced failures. They had to have feedback on this long ago so it's beyond me why it's continued. We know (per DZ) they abandoned making Rocco Britt's biological son last year due to intense negative response early on.

I said it a few days ago but if she really does take off with him that's going to cripple her character further IMO. Viewers are not here for the memory of what she did to baby Rocco let alone history repeating. And Jason is not going to be down with the Jossnapping.

Finn Carr is doing amazing work. I just resent that it's all expended on this.

No notes.

I might have to skip this episode. This actually makes me ill, and I do not understand why the show keeps pushing this.

I decided to skip it and today’s episode isn’t doing much for me. I also miss Guza, at the risk of inviting the heavy handedness of Carly, Sonny and Jason. I’m actually enjoying Carly lately.

The Britt propping is too much. What do these actors have on FV that he can’t quit the characters that aren’t working?

I’m about sick of Lulu acting as though she’s Rocco’s only parent when it comes to Dante. Seems like she’s just gonna take off with him without even letting his father know.

I’m so happy that Dante put Lulu in her place. And put some darts on Lucky, Luke and Laura.

Lol! You are probably right. I like the idea more in theory than I would in execution most likely. I feel like Guza at least knew how to make events happen. Right or wrong, he made GH exciting. I feel like the current regime has all the pieces to make an amazing show and fall flat a lot. Plus Guza would be more likely to call up Vanessa Marcil so for that I'd take him back alone.

The show was like paint drying to me for much of 1999 and 2000. I was not watching regularly in the rest of the '00s so maybe that period was livelier on a daily basis.

I can see why people would miss him, as no one running the show currently seems to care, beyond Korte's love of Carly, I guess.

This is probably for the classic thread, but I think the show had casting issues in 1999/2000. They lost both Kimberly and Vanessa very closely so there was no new young female lead besides Sarah Brown's Carly. They tried with Hannah, Chloe, Angel, etc, but nothing really landed. Then Steve bolted.

I do think early Carly/Sonny was very interesting.

Seriously, Lucas needs to knock this guy out.

I roll at my eyes at this part of the storyline more than anything.

-- Finn Carr has been outstanding as Rocco, but I have to admit that I'm tired of Rocco's poor decision making and relying on Britt for everything.

-- And no, Finn, you can't tell someone about your dangerous life (as he did with Gio) and expect that someone to say nothing.

-- It's kind of hilarious the way baby Phoebe keeps being shoved in Ethan's arms.

-- Cassius and Joss are both bad at what they do 😂 Cassius brings breakfast to her and never even considers that she might attack him from behind a corner or door. Joss knocks him out with a chair and instead of immediately running out, she stares at him open-mouthed for an eternity.

-- At least Charlotte wasn't on today.

LOL!!

Frank figures, if he forces those actors down our throats enough, in time, we'll just grow numb and won't care anymore.

I was pretty much out today when Lucas started fighting with the butler AGAIN. No one cares.

Joss did wait a long time to run out of the room and that's why she's a horrible spy lol.

Why are we focusing on the emotions of a henchman that we were introduced to walking around in pajamas for what felt like months on end. He’s also so far down the totem Pole now he’s literally Sidwell’s butler.

Again: I am convinced it's another of Chris Van Etten's twee little 'subversive touches' that he thinks elevate this mess and show his true creative bonafides. Britt the totally organic LGBT icon surrounded by gay men who now all love her (and even drag queen extras on occasion) now even has a catty Eurotrash butler who's plotting against her. More fierce queer storytelling starring Britt, the heterosexual female with all the flair and emotional range of an airport baggage carousel. What fun! No we won't be giving any of these gay characters like Lucas A-stories, why do you ask?

Again, I still have no idea how Britt became a gay icon because she has 1 gay friend. I suppose 2 now including Lucas. The bar is low here. No one with that hairstyle should ever be considered an icon of anything.

Britt reminds me a little of some of the sad female best friends (not the word used at the time) in no-budget gay movies of the '90s who would inevitably throw themselves at the gay leading man out of desperation.

Desperation is practically Britt's personality. She stole Lulu's eggs to have a baby and keep Patrick. Throwing herself at a gay man is an upgrade for her.
