I am not taking Lexie's unknown twin off the table here either lol.

LOL!! I'd go REALLY deep cut and expose "Nexie"* as none other than SUNSET BEACH's Virginia Harrison. ("Hide your turkey basters, y'all!")

(*As in, "Not Lexie.")

The show could just have her wear it straight? It's extremely thick and beautiful so it doesn't need hot rollers in it. It's so dated lol.

Well, their hair/makeup department and their costume department need overhauls, ASAP!

Yeah, and it really shouldn't. But in the meantime, it makes me feel like Gabi is fooling herself with Philip. Maybe I'm reading too much subtext, but it seems Gabi is telling herself Philip is a great catch without really feeling it.

They "fell in love" too quickly, right?

I always felt like the jump from Gabi and Philip just sleeping together to being in love happened without any real growth or buildup onscreen, but I wasn't sure if other fans felt that way or if it was just me lol

I like them together but I don't see them as an endgame couple and I probably wouldn't see that with Gabi and Theo either. Theo still had the most chemistry with Marissa Reyes' Ari, IMO. That could've been a good messy storyline.

I wonder why the show entirely gave up on Gabi/JJ. I don't think Phillip or Theo are the right match for Gabi.

Theo probably had the most chemistry with MR's Ari, but the way the actor plays Theo it seems like it's tough for him to generate chemistry. I know he plays the autistic side of Theo and it makes a lot of interactions end up extremely stilted because of it. I could never imagine TJA's Theo with Olivia Rose Keegan's Claire for example. That's not really a knock on TJA's work or his portrayal of an autistic person, it just is what it is on screen.

I did tune in for this mess. Nikki Crawford is indeed strange as Lexie but I don't think it's her fault either. She's a good actress. The whole situation and story is plain bizarre even by DAYS standards.

JPL tormented so many of us at OLTL and I think GH fans would storm the studio if Frank tried to install another OLTL star at the show, let alone one who had all his worst instincts on the loose the last time they worked together. I like John Paul as a person, I'm pleased if he's worked out as Phillip but I don't need to watch him on my soap again. He was always a hammy Diet Scott Clifton at best, those Dillon/Rex types of roles bring out the worst in him, and Dillon Q needs something much stronger than that if he's going to work without SC ever again. (Vanilla Ice hopeful Robert Watkins was not it)

I am so lost as to the age skew on Theo, Gabi and Ari. Like, what? How? How is he straddling both those ranges? I'm still getting over Will having an unnecessary grown-ass daughter.

We're all lost on that! pages of discussion on the April and May threads. LOL. Just doesn't make sense.

I don't think it's Nikki Crawford's fault either. It's mostly writing and the fact she's a bit miscast as Lexie or at least Renee Jones version of Lexie. She could be playing almost any other character and I would consider her very good.

I think Theo should be in between Gabi and Ari in age. Ciara/Claire/Tripp's age, but Gabi did say she's known Theo since high school and was dating Jada, so I have no idea where he lands age wise. Lexie said he was a little boy when she "died" so that would imply he's in his mid 20's I suppose if she died 15 years ago. Basically Theo has no age at this point.

Saddling Will/Gabi with a kid at 16 was a choice, but it really doesn't age them too much. Still puts them in the 35 year old ish range.

Or why they seemed to have given up on a talented, handsome actor like Casey Moss, in general.

He could totally be a part of everything going on with Philip/Gabi/Theo, especially if they end up bringing Joy and her drama into it somehow. Plus, JJ's still going through problems stemming from the shooting. Introducing that beat into the storyline would add more layers and dynamics to everything.

As for Tyler, I do think his portrayal seems more realistic than the other Theo's were, but I see what you mean.

Finally, Chad and Belle had their date!

The pacing's been a little off with this storyline (and a lot of the storylines actually) but I'm glad that their date finally happened. Their scenes were nice but I didn't really see any explosive chemistry between them. They came off more like good friends as opposed to a potential couple. I wouldn't mind Days going there with Chad/Belle though. I'd like to see whatever may or may not happen between them play out onscreen, and if a stronger chemistry develops between the two of them. Hopefully, their "relationship" ends up being tied to other characters as well, especially after that little exchange that they had with EJ/Cat at the end. And yeah, with all that talk about Lexie being alive, and the pod, they really should've talked more about John.

I enjoyed Gabi/Liam today as well. Gabi's offer to Liam adds another interesting beat to this storyline, and I think that it helped further build Liam's character. I don't think he's gonna leave town though, but I am interested in seeing what happens for him and Ari now, and how Ari's gonna react when she finds out about Gabi's offer. Holly cautioning Ari about Liam, and saying that he reminds her of Doug III was a good idea as well.

Sarah/Amy were ok. I like that Sarah wasn't able to convince Amy to drop her animosity towards Holly though. That could lead to something good happening. Hopefully, that "something" involves Jason too 😉😂😂

Btw, I also hope they put that dock set to good use during the Summer.

It really is odd they made the effort to bring Moss back and rarely use him. JJ has never been a favorite of mine, but when he actually gets story Moss does good work.

I definitely think Tyler's portrayal seems realistic almost to a fault. It's almost like he is so focused on playing autism authentically he doesn't let go in scenes and work with the natural flow. As a viewer it's hard for me to gauge chemistry with him because I am not sure if it's an awkward interaction (like Joy yesterday) or it's his choice to make it awkward. But, hey, I am no actor so what do I know? Although I do think I could do a better job than Rachel Boyd lol!

It never made any sense whatsoever that Cwikly/Ford had to use Carlivatis outlines for months. They would have to pay Ron and also pay these inept women. Thanks to Ron for clearing that up, finally. Donna Bridges always insisted that Ron’s outlines were used for months after his name disappeared. SMH.

That being said, Days is so boring. Cwikly/Ford have been there for well over a year and the show is a snoozefest. Where are the cliffhangers? These writers only know how to tickle the audience into thinking there is something big ahead and then nothing happens. Days is in the worst shape in its history. It’s never in Peacock’s Top 10 anymore. The show was regularly in the Top 10 when Ron was headwriter. Maxam has to get on the headwriters to step it up or begone. Yeah, I know they are about a year ahead and what we are seeing now was done months and months ago. I cannot imagine another year of this boring writing.
