Why did Rafe suggest Javi go to EJ to influence his boss to not punish him? Why wouldn't he suggest the mayor, Paulina? She would do it obviously and it would be pretty easy.

Honestly even if I like Leo I would be put off by his behavior with Javi. Javi asked Leo to leave him alone and he won't. Give Javi some space.

I feel like there should be some wacky storyline where E.J. develops a split personality named Elvis, lol.

I think Conner Floyd is fitting in very well. I was wary of this recast, but they've done something smart by not immediately centering him in story. He's around, he's interacting with the right people, but he's not the focal point right now, so we're able to get used to him. Surprisingly smooth recast.

I also have to say that I'm not seeing this "new vision" that Noel Maxam has allegedly brought to the show. At all. It's the same Titanic with the same deck chairs shuffled around a bit. Sometimes some of it works, more on a scene level than an overall story level. They hit some nice character beats (as they have been for the past year), but there's very little juice to any of it.

Found this on BlueSky, posted just recently. Just an example of the hilarity of SORAS. Sarah lashing out regarding Neil and Maggie's affair behind Mickey's back, so she arranged to have Maggie find her in bed with Neil (who was retconned himself as her bio dad [Lane Davies' Evan Whyland was actually the dad, if I recall!], and Sarah didn't know, obviously!).

All the way back in 1991. LOL! Sarah Horton must have found that fountain of youth!

I do think it's seemed a little less all over the place in the past few months, and that there's a plan in place for the storylines, as opposed to Marlena's dreams last year, which ultimately ended up being nothing.

That definitely was a weird dropped thread. Though I think it might be picking back up with the chess set thing?

The whole will-reading was SO much build up for nothing, too. "Stefano's estate will be split amongst his living heirs. Gabi is actually Stefano's widow, so she's entitled to 1/13th of the estate instead of that 1/13th being split among the 8 living parties. Marlena got some crap from TJ Maxx and left. Oh, and a recast Lexie wandered into a room full of people her character has barely met."

Agreed, @AbcNbc247 - Daddy Choi is a beautiful man, wow. He looked so good in that suit!

I hope so. Everything surrounding Marlena and Stefano's presence should've been leading the show, last year and this year too, especially in the aftermath of John's death.

And with any luck, we'll be seeing him again 👍😂

I'm sure they can find a way to further work him into the story.

A long one today. 44 minutes.

I still don't have much of an interest in Kristen's plan and her offer to Xander, but I have to admit, that they do have chemistry. And Xander looked really hot today. Paul Telfer's sex appeal is mind boggling 😍😍😍

I still don't know about a Kristen/Xander pairing though. It's better than Xander/Gwen but not by that much. Kristen is played out and needs a nice long rest off screen. Honestly, she's even more played out than Gwen. The fact that her storylines are just basically the same old revenge plot again and again proves that, IMO. And Xander needs to be paired with someone that Sarah can actually get jealous over, which in turn causes conflict between her and Brady and ultimately leads her back to Xander. And that someone is certainly not Kristen or Gwen.

And speaking of Gwen, her and Leo were a waste of time, as always

Lani and Joy was a surprise though, even though there were too many references to that B&S abomination, for me. It was actually nice to see Joy have scenes with another character that has no association with Alex and Stephanie. I wouldn't mind the two of them forming a friendship, with Joy being there for Lani about Chanel and Paulina, and Lani being there for Joy about Alex and Stephanie. And, while Stephanie was a little douchy and selfish today again, I don't mind it. It makes sense based on the storyline. And finally, Alex and Stephanie are having some good conflict. Good conflict that doesn't seem biased in favor of anyone lol the only thing that this storyline needs, and always will need, is Jeremy. Letting him/Michael Roark go will always be a big mistake.

I like that she had Brady to confide in though.

The propping of NBC-affiliated series in today's episode was not it, especially when we all know primetime series are not doing the same in return for the mention-name-dropping of Days of Our Lives.

Richard Bloore has been the costume designer lead at this soap since the early 1990s, and it is showing; he cannot dress his cast, and they look horribly ill-fitted and dated. He should not have returned after Jayne Marie Kehoe left the position. And if Lauren Koslow's husband is still the head of the hair and makeup departments, then he should be replaced, too.

The little actor portraying Victoria is adorable. She really is a cutie-pa-tootie!

Emily O'Brien and Greg Rikaart are a hoot together; they work more as friends on Days of Our Lives than they ever did as spouses on The Young and the Restless. Solid casting choices, even if Gwen is not a necessary character to have on the canvas at the present time.

I genuinely hope Stephanie leaves Alex; although, she should have left him for Jeremy, but that ship has sailed... for now. And then Alex can join Joy, and they can leave Salem with their daughter for good.

The moaning sex music that this soap employs for its scenes – both sexual in nature and nonsexual – needs to go. It is giving me a cheap ripoff of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. I have expected her to pop up in front of the scene and just go, "Hello, I'm Shelley Duvall!"
