IIRC, when Jackee was on AW, the writers tailored comedic storylines for Lily (and for Cass, Cecile, Felicia and Wallingford) that played to Jackee's strengths. Same goes for when Dorothy Lyman played Opal on AMC, or even when Sheri Anderson, Leah Laiman and Thom Racina wrote for Arleen Sorkin/Calliope. Writing for Jackee the same kinds of stories that DAYS writes for everyone else just plain doesn't work.

No, it doesn't. Since day one, even with the "writer", Paulina was written directly for Jackée. Under a different actor, one with actual dramatic appeal, there could be some viability for the character. But until that happens, Paulina will be a caricature.
