DAYS

The first one that come to mind that is allegedly still ongoing to this day is Deidre Hall and Suzanne Rogers. Despite rumors I've read on this site and others over the years, it's a mystery as to why. Even in their latest rare scene together with Susan Seaforth Hayes, it's obvious the two still have um... not so favorable things about each other.

This would not surprise me because when Hall came on to the show, she quickly blew up into a bona fide star. Before that, Hayes was the show's major heroine. She and Billy Hayes even ended up on the cover of Time Magazine at one point--they were like the Luke & Laura of that era. Suzanne Rogers was the secondary star of that era. Then Deidre Hall comes in and becomes the star of the show for literally decades. So yeah, no surprise if they don't get a long.

There was always weird tension between most of the cast of Dallas and Victoria Principal. Any time one of the cast member is asked about working with her, it's like they are walking on eggshells to be complimentary. VP rarely does any kind of reunion projects with them. Joan Rivers hated her and tried to involve Ken Kercheval in their feud when he was invited on her talk show. Joan tried calling her live on air and giving out VP telephone number for all to hear. Ken was on edge the whole time saying that he gets along with her and implied this would wreck things.

Victoria would sue her and settle. Supposedly when she would later show people some of her artwork, she would say it was from Joan Rivers.

They used to get along though. This appears to be a more recent development between them. Well, in the last decade or so. Maggie and Marlena still get significant airtime currently.

REALLY? Well, now I'm intrigued. Be interesting to know what happened.

BTW, props to DOOL for still using their older characters.

Yeah, I don't think anyone but Dee and Suzanne know lol. Marlena and Maggie are both on fairly often although mostly in separate stories.

Stage mom.

I'd say the same about Susan Lucci's issues with SMG. In fact, I'd blame two people for that mess: 1) SMG's mother, who allegedly told anyone and everyone that SMG/Kendall was going to be the next Erica Kane; and 2) Christopher Goutman, who, as one of AMC's directors, allegedly encouraged SMG to say or do something in a scene with Lucci that was unscripted and without Lucci's prior knowledge or approval.

Speculation, but could it have something to do with (or exasperated by) the aftermath of Marlena & John being written out for a few years in the late 2000s? Rogers' screentime shot up in that era and I remember hearing good things about her work. Whereas Maggie barely qualified as a character from when Hall returned in the 90s until then.

Maybe. You aren't the first person to bring up that idea. It seems silly though. I doubt Suzanne had anything to do with Dee/Drake's firing and they were brought back fairly quickly anyway. The show did use Maggie more back then, but even if Deidre was mad about that-get over it! It was a decade ago.

Wasn't there also the rumor that Suzanne allegedly had an affair with Deidre's now-ex-husband?

If I were Dee, I wouldn't care one whit about that. As long as he was out of MY house, he could have all the cookies he wants, lol.

A few months ago, Suzanne was interviewed for about an hour on the Soapy podcast. Although she didn't mention Deidre, she did tell a story about some resentment with other actors. She shared that when she was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis in the mid-1980s, her appearance changed and two or three of the other actors made derogatory remarks about it. Suzanne said she was very hurt by this and also admitted she still harbors a grudge about it, and that she doubts forgiveness is in the future. Could this be the cause of the current issue between Suzanne and Deidre? I'm sure Suzanne's interview is still available, if anyone is interested in listening.

I thought the rumour was Suzanne stayed friends with him after the break up and took his side. I’ve never heard about an affair.
