BTG ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I hate that 18-49 demo so much. But I guess I should be happy with the total viewers rising this week.

Yeah, there's no putting lipstick on its W18-49 number or the bad retention from B&B.

BUT - the positive is that it had its best retention of B&B in the W25-54 demo since August (the week before its second repeat week).

CBS soaps all were down huge on Friday. BTG with a 0.9 in the 18-49 demo, B&B 0.13. Something weird had to happen with numbers like that.

That's the second week in a row that BTG recorded a 0.9 on Friday in the 18-49 demographic.

The ratings are so weird. For several weeks Thursdays would be the lowest day of the week for BTG and the other CBS soaps. Now it looks like Fridays.

I've said it before, there is so much more data that we're not privy to. Apparently, all three CBS soaps do very well on Paramount+ and all three are always trending shows to watch on the APP.

This week, I'm going to take the total viewers increase as a win and be happy BTG is still doing better than The Talk overall.

A second week in a row where BTG is gaining numbers. I see no reason for any concern. It's great news actually. The week before this... BTG gained nearly 150 000. This week... it's the only soap gaining anything. Something is clearly working. Now if they amp up the promo... that would be great.

Thank you @Toups !

The demos are always so weird. Personally, I only care about total viewers even if networks think otherwise. I hope an increase in live viewing also means an increase in delayed viewing (streaming). In this day in age I wonder how much the live ratings factor into overall determination about a show's "success". Are they becoming less important? Just a thought.

I wished the network would unveil the streaming data as we know that some of the streaming companies do not archive all the episodes as they keep it back dated for 10 days or so unlike other non-daytime shows that they have all seasons to watch. I've seen posts, reports and sources that "General Hospital" does very well at Hulu against all programs including the movies. Certainly, if Nielsen would include streaming data into all four broadcast soaps, they would be much higher. I've seen "Days of Our Lives" would pop up time to time doing well at Peacock but they've been renewing the show a couple of times and promoting which I believe is a good thing. Not sure about CBS's streaming popularity via Paramount/CBS. I am seeing the trend of the sole demos may become archaic sooner or later across the board as they're incorporating and engaging demographic changes, focus group changes, social media outreach, brand product tie-ins, media/podcast tie-ins, "chatters" on people's post of the show, etc. etc. Remember folks, not so long ago we used to have 3 or 4 major networks and now there's so many outlets competing for the share of time period.

The networks are actively touting the L+35 ratings for PrimeTime. The numbers are enlightening - demos are 2-5x higher than the Live+SD. Viewership tends to double.

Based on what we've seen with DAYS/GH, I'd be shocked in the three CBS soaps aren't doing solid numbers on streaming. Soaps also offer streamers 52-week original content - no other scripted shows can do that.
