Sometimes I must admit, that I find animals more humane and better companions than people.

But we must acknowledge the simple reality, alas.

Labine's two best stories on GH were about A) a child needing a heart transplant, and B) a young man succumbing to AIDS. Poignant, devastating stuff. That was the last year on any soap which moved me enough to tears.

So you don't have access to Netflix? That's a shame.

That's why the episode count for season two of HR must be longer than just six installments, so we can savor all the beats.

You're not alone on that. That's been very much on my mind this week. ;)

Oh, I do. What happened in Minnepolis has been very much on my mind and also very avoidable by not putting IT back in office.

Both stories still resonate to this day. I can't begin to tell you how I cried during the Bobbie's death episodes and how it all connected to BJ. Bobbie was always my favorite GH character growing up...second only to Brenda...so that one (and Jackie's passing) really hit hard. And that they crafted an almost perfect set of episodes that touched on so much of her history...my eyes water just thinking about it. Kristina Wagner's 'Barbara Jean' echo with Lucas Crane's Lucas both realizing who the writer was at the end still hits. From Labine's pen and still touching lives today.

Yeah, I used to have quite a few bundles, but I also live in a building with a shady landlord so yep...NOPE. lol. And given how bundles and streaming services continue to increase under the new gov, if I am going to watch anything, it will be by DVD set by library (as long as they can stay open cuz my library is VERY up-to-date) or...OTHER means...if you catch my drift.

I like what they did with 6 episodes, but I would rather have an 8/10 episode season for streaming and 15 to 18 for normal tv. I'm old school and also oh so bias as a writer.

If angels exist, they have four paws, I'm sure of it.

We have to purge its flying monkeys too.

The episodes surrounding Bobbie's death were indeed highly effective, but for me, the most devastating and sob-inducing scenes of all time on GH were written by Claire Labine during the heart-transplant and AIDS storylines in the mid 1990s.

I catch your drift quite well, my friend. I have "other means" which I rely upon as well. The internet is a wonderful world to explore, with many nooks and crannies holding treasure troves for persistent surfers to uncover.🤫😉

Many, many years ago, I borrowed the first season of Chicago Fire on DVD from the local library. I forget the exact number now, but I think there were 24, hour-long episodes in the set. The loan period at the time for DVDs (even multi-disc boxsets) was two freakin' days. It was insane. I can see a 48-hour time limit for movie rentals, not a 24-hour season.

I greatly appreciate what Heated Rivalry did in its initial six eps and on such a miniscule budget. It shocks me that they filmed the entire series in a mere 36 days. Now just think of what Jacob Tierney and the cast and crew could offer us in 10 hours. Woohoo!😍

ROTF! Gotta love the man for promoting HR, even with a probable tongue planted firmly in his cheek. No doubt, his suggestion is going to result in a meltdown among some easily-triggered. snowflakes in a certain demographic.
