Heather was 19 years old when she was introduced in late July of 1976. That means she was born in 1956 or '57, so she would have been younger than Portia is now.

Yeah, I don't think it was crazy for Heather to have a younger child. I think it's jarring as a viewer because one of Heather's kids is played by Scott Reeves and the other is a fresh faced young girl lol.

As for Portia, I don't think she's supposed to be the same age as Brook Kerr. The show has mentioned her age regarding her pregnancy, but I think she's in her mid 40's at most. I don't bother much with the Taggert/Portia/Trina backstory and ages because it doesn't really align timewise with when Taggert was actually appearing on the show.
