Perhaps teasing is not the right word, but he at least allowed them to still be in each other's orbits vs we act like this drama is going down and Nina would not have an opinion when it affects her.

I could see her as a new cosmetic creator that Deception might want to cozy up to for sales. She comes across Sonny and you know how that does. And as soon as they get together...it turns out...she knows Brenda. lol.

I've seen Van Hansis put in that category too, by some fans. I don't think it's entirely true, but I do appreciate that he works very hard and brings a lot of drama to every moment.

I like him in the role though I do prefer Ryan Crane more. He would be Number 4 in the department I mentioned easy. I honestly see Alexa and Krista battling for Number 2...or probably for me tied because they both were seamless in their recast roles and the writing really did a good job with them. Rory has Number 1 on lock.

He definitely was. I would say if it wasn't for how the story ended with the writer switch, they should go for Ava/Sonny, but alas. 

 

As is...Nina/Sonny or even Alexis/Sonny both seem currently plausible. But yeah, the writing then did not give Nina/Sonny a lot of interaction. They had very little for sure before Drew/Nina really kicked into gear, but it had some. A slender thread that I liked the writer switch at least continued somewhat.

I think PM might've had Ava drag a drugged-out Sonny to the altar for another mob marriage, whether she ended up surviving the story or not. I suspected that from the beginning. Now she's got these B/C-stories with Ric while they seemingly are on the verge of dumping Kate Mansi. That whole storyline is a dumping ground for characters they either don't care about or have no idea what to currently do with.

With my luck KA would be Brenda's unknown twin or something to spite me.

I prefer Carnes as well.  I like Van, but it's like two different Lucas's.

It is, but I am beginning to really appreciate having a genuinely (let's say it) flamboyant and overtly gay Lucas lol. I wouldn't necessarily weep if RC returned, but given his alleged antivaxx stuff I'm not exactly angling for it anymore. I'd let Van run and see if he can handle more active story. If at least 50% of it doesn't turn into material for the late and lamented The Soup, I'm calling that a win.

I feel like it's a matter of time at this point. There have been rumors circling for awhile but Mansi is literally an afterthought onscreen now. You can tell Frank had pinned everything on putting her with JJ and Jonathan was not having it, lol.

It's too bad as I think she could still do well as Kristina with a major reset. But what a waste.

I don't think anything happened with Mansi and Ron specifically, but Ron seemed to hate the character of Abby.  Allegedly ALM was truly supposed to be Abby but after the writer's strike Ron changed his mind.

I had high hopes for Kristina as well, but it seems like Abby is just a better fit for her and more needed on Days.

I wouldn't have minded a brief Lucky/Kristina hook up either.  The show just wrote her so far into the corner and I don't think Mansi helped.  Her issues with the Blaze pairing seemed to tank a lot of story-even if Blaze was a day player.

I have to strongly disagree. Abby should stay dead. I've loved seeing the toll her death has taken on the Deverauxs and Chad. It's made death actually mean something and the Hortons at present are strong enough where I don't find her return necessary. She comes back, everything just becomes status quo. Boring!

Well, they can dump Kate Mansi. A waste. 

 

I totally would have been down for Ava taking Sonny to that altar. High drama.

That's how I feel. Like when the Nathan storyline started, Van was acting like Lucas really and truly knew Nathan. I had more or less stop watching near the end of RC's run so was Carnes's Lucas THAT close to Nathan when Nathan and Maxie finally got together and married? Cuz that was a head scratcher to me.

 

But I do feel both actors are Lucas even if they are different.

As I've said before, on paper or in a different time and place I'd have had no problem with them hooking up or even having a romance for awhile as a spoiler for LNL2. I think that could've worked and Jonathan and Kate looked okay together, provided they gave Becky someone to be a strong spoiler on the other end of the quad, with Lucky and Liz being the prioritized endgame. But the onscreen execution they went with and what Frank was doing was so messy. He was playing the long game hoping to put KM/Kristina over with Lucky big time while trying to marginalize Elizabeth/Becky and writing Kristina unbelievably poorly to the point that she was unwatchable. And Jonathan has been clear for almost 20 years on what he wanted from the show there and has been cheated out of it before. So I am almost glad he dipped there. It's too bad all around.

Krista Allen…I can actually see it.

I think the issue is we have a romance problem on General Hospital. Sonny has no viable partners. Laura is in limbo somewhat because Kevin is. Nina has no viable partner. Liz has no viable romance. Alexis has no romance, and Kristina too. Much like his father and mother, Michael has a placeholder to flirt with when they should be investing in a real character and romance for him. Anna is also single with no prospect. And I do like Brennan, but he doesn’t spark with LW as much as he needs to.

I will forever love Patrick Mulcahey for bringing back nasty Ava. Her two confrontation scenes with both Alexis and Nina were some of the best stuff the show has had in years.
