Which is nice to hear as is this quote which warms both my and @DRW50's hearts: "I will not leave the show until they allow Cody to date Tracy."

Hopefully when his movie finishes he can go back on contract, but GH has accommodated many regular recurring players over the years.

Happy that he sees their chemistry too.

I did think his contract move was odd as he is clearly still in story rather than being dumped. Glad to know it was his choice.

Thanks @Liberty City

I agree; Cody and Tracy is the pairing to go with, even as a one-time fling! And I am just glad it was his choice to drop to recurring and was not for any other reason.

Thanks @Liberty City

I would think the change in status will be truly seen in material shot post-summer break, even though he's been noted as recurring since June 20.

And you are welcome!

Rick Hearst talks the reverse panic room

Ric and Ava can still get back together after this tbqh. This is just another Wednesday for those unique individuals.

Thanks. I had forgotten he's 60. He's aged so well. I don't know how Carl Evans looks these days but overall the Alan Michaels were very genetically blessed or just knew how to have smart skincare and diet regimes.

I had forgotten too! Amazing.

Rick Hearst did a bit of classic genre work BITD, like so many soap vets. They showed his film Brain Damage on Joe Bob Briggs' The Last Drive-In a few years back and I hoped they'd bring him on as a guest as they so often do with soap-to-horror vets, but no such luck. Maybe someday they'll get stuck showing the Warlock sequels and he'll get another shot.
