FINALLY the show had Tracy mention not only did Carly and Sonny take Michael from AJ, Sonny then went on to murder AJ! This should be brought up by all Quartermaines but that goes against Sonny is just a loveable guy helping the Port Charles citizens.

I’m at the point now where I don’t believe Drew even loves Willow. It seems he’s just getting off on the control and sticking it to Sonny and Carly. When I first started watching again, he and Michael genuinely seemed to have a great relationship but all of his words now ring extremely hollow in that regard.

We learned from her scene with Marco that she alienated him with her bigotry before she did it all over again with Alison. Last we knew about their relationship Natalia was calling Ali, on tour, but Ali was not taking calls from her, so Natalia had been talking to someone else, perhaps Ali's tour manager. And, I have no idea why Kristina has basically offered her unearned grace.

Yes.  I don't want to even start the re-hire Haley Pullos convo, but there was a more quirky, unique take on the character and the writing when she was a child.  She was obnoxious and obsessed with romance and fairytales and frankly just a bit odd.

I do think KV really does a good job with Molly as currently written, but all the personality is gone.  Being type A, organized, and following the law isn't really anything special.  It's more of a generic rom com character that will find the right man to loosen her up nonsense we've seen 1000 times before.

He's had things written on his hands for years now. It's not always obvious, but I remember people pointing it out back when Vanessa returned in 2010 maybe even before.  It's clear he's had difficulty remember his lines for almost 2 decades.  The handwriting on his hand is just a thing MB does-and his lines are still fumbled lol.

I will say I almost don't blame him here because eminent domain is a fairly uncommon term for a soap actor to say.

I think part of the problem is GH doesn't really know how to do playboys in recent decades, and the other is they have never known what they want Josh Kelly to play. Cody was a con artist, then Cody was fighting to be a better man, and now he's just there. The pairing with Tracy would have made a lot of sense. Something with Lulu also would have made sense, as I assumed they were going to build up some tension between Dante and Brook Lyn (why give them a child otherwise?), but we aren't getting anything. I don't think Kelly was very good in the cad part on OLTL, but he did impress me with his sincerity with Tracy and revealing that he was Mac's son, bonding with James, etc. They just seemed to move away from all of that for no real reason.

I do like Chase well enough, but he's another character they don't seem to have much interest in writing for beyond just holding Brook Lyn's hand. They should have had her keeping secrets from him for a long period of time, all the way up to the Gio reveal, for maximum dramatic impact. But they are very conflict averse.

I didn't want Cody to be a cad - they tried that when he first came on and it was one of the most unpopular introductions in recent show history. I do think he can be up to a little mischief and various shenanigans, but I thought the mostly settled man in the stables close to Tracy, Mac, the kids, etc. was good for him. That didn't mean he couldn't be the wandering happy stud servicing various lonely heroines, or couldn't settle down with Tracy.

I don't get where they are going with the entire Gio story.  It honestly doesn't seem like the show is heading for anything romantic with Brook/Dante and with Chase knowing the truth it doesn't appear like Brook Lyn and Chase will break up.   I have a feeling Lulu and Lois will get most of the fallout.

I am sure Dante will be upset for a minute and then understand it was the right decision.  Gio might be sad because his parents died when he was young, and he didn't know he was adopted.   That's not Brook Lyn or Dante's fault.   That's why I believe most of this will be put on Lois.  I don't actually know what Lois was supposed to do once Gio's parents died since Brook Lynn just became interested about her baby about a year ago lol.

Sorry, I was misremembering your ideas.  I agree the Tracy, Mac, kids, era was the best Cody era.  It's fine if the show only wants to use Cody as a talk to or with Mac and family.  Josh Kelly gets way too much airtime to do just that and it's a waste of his talents.  I know Frank never fires anyone but if there isn't an idea for Cody than just let JK go and call him back when you figure it out.  There are way too many characters on this show for me to have to watch half an episode of Cody babysitting Donna lol.

Lol!  I agree with you.  I just know this isn't a new thing for MB.

IIRC, he even cops to it-sort of.  Idk if it's in his book or an interview I saw, but it's to make sure he says a specific word or phrase he's unfamiliar with correctly.  It's more for accuracy not because he forgot his lines.*

*I am not saying I believe this statement because he forgets normal words and sentences.  I am just relaying the info

Boy this is the kind of Sonny-centric episode that makes me wish they really were killing him off. It's like they're playing the "greatest hits" of all the annoying Sonny storylines they've done in the past, including mawkish scenes with Max Gail's Mike plus Stephen A Smith having a slow-motion shootout in a hospital room.

    • Finally, it's been a while since an entire episode was good.  LOL  Leslie and Eva are just the stars of this show. I get disappointed whenever they aren't gone.  So that was a good cliffhanger, however, I have to be a Debbie Downer just a bit......the music sucked and so did the fade out to credits. That final minute could've been so much better, so much soapier with proper background music and editing. I think it's time to move on and get a new music composer, music directors, and editors.  Bring in people who know how to produce a soap.
    • I agree. The McBrides, the Hawthornes, and the teens should have been there. Even Shanice and Ashley would have made sense to fill out the crowd since they work with Ted and Nicole. (Though BTG is probably saving the Lulu reveal for much later) I also would like to see the restaurant themed slightly differently for each event. We see the country club almost everyday, it would be nice to switch up the space for each special event with different dining chairs, different floral arrangements, pipe and drape, etc. They have done it before for the wedding and the fashion show. Everyone kept praising Eva for the party but the space looked the same as it always does.

Count me as a Doug fan
    • I mean...if I had to pick...this event so far definitely does not have enough extras vs Nicole's award event where I felt THAT had the right amount. This one...yeah...tear the lack of extras apart! lol.

Kim was cast before Don Stewart left GL.
    • Another I wonder about if they thought Joe Gallison would have more of an impact after his AW success. Was Agnes still involved with OLTL then?
    • I thought I was the only one. They do nothing for me. I enjoy Dani which seems to be an unpopular opinion here, but Andre to me is as unnecessary as Ashley and Derek. Not only should Vanessa, Nicole's bestie, and her husband have been there but where are Naomi and her man?
    • I think Vanessa not being there was a matter of choices in who to have there without overloading the interactions. Nicole is going to have to interact with her kids, parents, sister and of course have it out with Ted. Any interaction with Vanessa will have to be after the whole mess goes down.
    • Right--I did think of that, as it was around the same few years.  Accents I guess...
    • It is an insult. To the viewer's intelligence. Everything in this show in the past 4 years has been horribly conceived, produced like a cheap tik-tok video, without any build up or psychological reasoning, and then re-written to level 0 in couple of weeks (where everything is ABSOLUTELY the same as it was before it happened). People get gravely sick and then recover in 5 episodes, because of miracle cures. People get killed and un-killed in the most cartoonish Scooby-Doo scenarios, people get pardoned after killing 2 innocent victims, people become and unbecome CEOs with the snap of a finger. But when you look around in a month or two or three... it's like absolutely nothing has happened. Nobody has grown... or evolved... or changed. We still have Steffy talking to Ridge how Hope and her mother are not worthy. We still have Brooke crying about something that Ridge said. We still have Hope at the same emotional limbo she's been put in ever since Brad decided she needs a re-vamp and made her a ho. EVERYTHING IS THE SAME. Only the Taylors change every few seasons and become increasingly younger. The problem I have with Liam's storyline is the problem I have with every storyline - why should I care if he is dying or sick with cancer when I haven't seen him in 2 years?!! Why go from 0 to a 100 like that. The same way with Sheila... who was backburned for months... before getting fake-killed for ratings. Why would we care about that... when Sheila was a non-entity before that.  Or why should I care for Brooke... when she's been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of a character for years... to now all of a sudden re-birthed into a lingerie queen and CEO?   Back in the day, we... the viewers of this horrible show... cared and loved to see characters struggle from point A to point B. We wanted to see the build up, the makings of something. Not get a finished result that is undone after a week or two. When Brooke became CEO in 1993... we cheered because it mattered and because she gave HER ALL to get to that point. It was a revenge after years and years of abuse, being slapped around like a homeless dog by Stephanie. She plotted and calculated her every move. But she was also raw and hurt. She was both opportunist and a heroine. She had dept and dimensions. THAT WAS A CHARACTER. That was a human being.   My diagnosis is that at this point Bradley Bell doesn't care. Bold is living off of past history, fans being loyal, the show being 18 minutes of crap that people watch to laugh at. He sees the ratings are still okay and even improving and he DOES NOT GIVE A S-IT. He is even more motivated to continue with the current style of trash. It will only get worse from this day on.  He is way pass the period where he wanted to tell stories or impress the viewers with anything. (Not that he was particularly good about that anyways) I would not even be surprised if he is writing this drivel on complete auto-pilot at this point. Maybe he asks Chat GPT what to write each week. That's how it feels. IF IT'S THE OPPOSITE... and he is trying and that's the BEST HE CAN DO?!!! Then we are really f-cked.  Even Bradley Bell was NOT THAT HORRIBLE guys. But times change and people age... and that's all I'm going to say.
