Th show definitely subverted my expectations bc i thought for sure Leslie was gonna show the paternity test at the even or at the very least reveal herself. Thank god that didnt happen but with how fast paced this show has been going, it felt on par

I like her but im going to need them to tone it down bc she is coming across too much like a cartoon. She was better written in the first week when she seemed normal with hints of villainy but now she's a full blown psycho and Id have rather watch her slowly unravel

I wonder why Kat couldnt be at her mother's event. They wrote her out of town for a reason and I wonder will come out of that trip for her.

I agree with your statement regarding Leslie has been cartoon-ish the last several days. Additionally, I think it would maybe help the viewers understand her and her affair with Ted a little more if the show provided flashbacks of the affair playing out, why Ted ended it etc.  I still would like to know who she is working with on the Paternity Test.

I was wondering why Kat wasn't there either if it was such a big event.  If one of my parents was receiving a prestigous honor, I would postpone my trip out of town until afterwards in order to attend.  I wish they would have explained it that Kat had the flu or something as was sick in bed and then had her facetime her mom or dad at one point.  That would have been more believable.

She's definitely coming off as a psycho. She remind me of Janet from Another Planet, although Janet had more layers to her. Hopefully, we see more layers to Leslie because the character has potential. I don't want her to be written into a corner.

I dont think thats the reason bc this wasnt sudden. They've been mentioning that Kat would be out of town for a while.  I feel like there is a story reason that will factor in later

Speaking of Kat, does anyone know if thats short for Katherine, Katrina or something else?

She's coming across more like 2000s Janet and not 90s Janet. I liked Leslie best when there was an air of mystery around her and we speculated but werent quite sure if she was crazy. She put that dusty wig on and went full blown psycho

She was but she was more layered and I dont think was all that cartoonish compared to the 2000s version

She was like a caricature when she returned where before I felt she was a bit more subdued. And when Natalie was alive there was at least the contrast between the two to play off of. I guess Id prefer Leslie to be more like Robin Mattson's Janet and less Kate Collins which is probably a better comparison than strict 90s vs 00s

I know that was the reason given but why did they write her out of town for that. i mean they could have had the business meeting in DC. The writers specifically wanted her out of town for a reason

Given us old school 'Make Them Wait.' A good example of how to actually stall and it not look like they are stalling while upping our anticipation. Like soaps used to do.

I'm pretty sure the montage where Andre was taking pictures of everyone IS a real song.

Same. All they need is to find their rhythm with the stories which I trust they will.

    • Thanks. Appreciate that. P.S. I'm praying for a Summer of Gio.
    • Great episode today. Strong follow-up from yesterday, and a lot of really good dialogue. -- Lots of comments here about Vernon being the Olivia Pope of BTG, but I'll let you know when that happens. He and the family "move into action" after a scandal, but they've yet to really accomplish anything. Vernon couldn't even clear the room of everyone but family when he tried. -- Wardrobe did a great job overall. Anita wins Worst Dressed. That gown did not flatter TT and that gigantic necklace was bad. -- Sean Freeman did great work as Andre in Andre's scene with Eva. -- Brandon Claybon was great as Martin in his most dramatic scenes. I don't know how anyone can avoid seeing how much he's improved. -- There's way too much criticism here of Maurice Johnson's performance as Ted. If we didn't know he was replaced, I don't think we'd see this "He's not giving enough" stuff. My feeling is that this is all confirmation bias. I think the guy's done a nice job. Ted didn't whine for pity and he didn't scream like he's a victim. He's spent decades hiding this, and I think it's fair that he feels blindsided and unable to respond. -- I don't want to hear Vanessa lecture and moralize about any other character when she's so compromised. She's a cheater and a ho. -- It would have made more sense for Vanessa and Doug to be at the party. The hospital visit was weird, and seemed like an excuse for the scene where we (again) realized that Doug knows his wife is a cheater. -- I love this board, but damn, do people give away Emmys around here like gummy bears. -- I wish I knew what Leslie's end game is. Is it enough to destroy Ted's marriage to Nicole? Does she really think she can win Ted back? Or is she just so batsht crazy that it's impossible to know what she wants?
    • Thanks @kalbir for sorting that all out! I feel bad Jane’s return in “The Return” ranked lowest as did the finale…although of course by then the show was in a dead slot on Thursdays.  The Avenging Angel aired without Dallas in front of it and still ranked #12  (same week Knots finale went to #1 the night before). The earthquake finale which aired on a Thursday night fared better year later I believe.    We talked about the show’s syndication misses and SOD took notice with this 1997 article: FALCON CREST: Time to Uncork a Classic Soap Opera Digest, November 11, 1997 KNOTS LANDING, DYNASTY and DALLAS have all become a familiar fixture on the cable-TV landscape. But one soap is missing. We think it's time for FALCON CREST (which was bought for syndication by TBS in 1986) to be dug out of mothballs and put back on the air. Although overshadowed by it's megahit lead-in, DALLAS, FALCON CREST consistently delivered first-rate entertainment. The stars: Jane Wyman as sour grapes queen Angela, Susan Sullivan as long-suffering Maggie and David Selby as black sheep Richard, provided a strong back-bone. They were supported by a wide assortment of celeb guests: Gina Lollobrigida, Lana Tumer, Morgan Fairchild and even Apollonia visited the winery. The plots were fun and often outrageous: tires, explosions, shootings, plañe crashes, eqrthquakes, ¡Ilegitímate kids who became priests, legitímate offspring who joined convents ... not to mention Melissa, the slumming socialite with a lounge act. Plus, FALCON CREST had a wicked sense of humor that surfaced in acerbic dialogue. So let's get this vintage drama back on the air where it belongs. The wine has aged long enough.
    • Jason, thank you so much & I was just speaking of you earlier. I was saying we need to throw a cyber  party with some special invited guests. You were one of them! Not because you are brilliant, even though you are, but because you are kind. And we appreciate you, really we do.

    • I'm not counting on Drew AT ALL. But, I don't think he will think of Nina & I KNOW he would never think of NIna & Carly in league against  him. Just goes to show how out of touch he really is and he really  is. i'm not so sure unless you mean Tracy tearing Lois another orifice. Talk about furious, we are really going to get to witness the impending storm. I may even feel for Lois .... No, I won't. But it was anice thought for a moment. I cannot seem to spare any sympathy for Willow, Drew, Lois, Brook Lynn, Chase, what a list, huh?
    • Yeah Drew thinking her will be short lived I feel
