The romance was on full display today, and I enjoyed the sweetness and nerdiness of it all, especially Steve and Kayla

I really enjoyed the flashbacks and the strolls down memory lane as well.

And, Johnny looked hot at the beginning

Too bad that he and Chanel can’t have a baby yet. I really wish they weren’t taking this route with the two of them. They deserve a much better story than this and the crap that they’ve previously had.

Julie and Doug III were really sweet as well. I like that he was there for her on her first Valentines Day without Doug. The two of them work well together. And we got confirmation that Doug III is straight

I also liked the way that it was set up for him to cross paths with Holly. I wonder what’s going to happen next week.

Speaking of Holly, I know that Days meant well but her scenes with Maggie were awkward af lol I could’ve never spoken about my sex life with a grandparent But I really enjoy their relationship. Tate looked good too. His shirt was something that I would wear.

But idk about nuSophia though. She doesn’t seem to have as much of a spark as the previous Sophia did. In her scenes with Amy, she came off like such a victim; a lot more than the previous Sophia would have. We definitely need to see her in scenes with Holly soon. And if Amy is now so on board with Tate and Sophia’s plan, what was the point of her being such a dick? If they were gonna introduce that arc in the first place, they really shouldn’t have rushed it.

It's definitely a shame we lost Madelyn Kientz, because she was a natural and there were a handful of times this new girl looked like she was glitching.

I've pinpointed another reason why Abigail Klein is the worst actor on the show ... she comes off as some sort of insipid TVKids host.

What does Carlivati have against Melissa? Plenty of past characters are naturally referenced, but for some reason, there's times like today where the dialogue will just blatantly and suspiciously make sure not to mention her. Did Lisa Trusel piss in his cheerios or something? However, for all his many faults, making Julie a true cornerstone of the show again is always a pleasure. Getting to see that flashback of Doug reading her the lyrics she told Doug III about was the perfect end to her scenes today, and the Steve/Kayla flashback was another one I'd never seen as well.

Prior to acting she was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, and then appeared in
the reality show "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team" in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Once I learned this, I can't unsee it.

Why hasn't the Woman in White asked about Peter?  I guess Kristen hasn't had much time to fill in the blanks, and Rachel said she followed the news about Kristen, but it seems like she would want to know about her son.

Did he precede her in death? Or, does she know about the backstage drama?

Jada never knew about fake Rafe so I give Jada a pass on this current situation and The writers having Jada not figuring stuff about fake Rafe is because the writers are going to have her and Shawn closer and even Gabi hasn't noticed Fake Rafe and she should be the main one because she should know her brother

The new Sophia doesn't seem glaringly bad to me, especially considering that she got thrown into some heavy storyline mid-stream, but she definitely isn't showing that pop that the previous Sophie had yet. I don't know that the character would've been elevated if this actress had been playing her from the get-go.

I wonder if the show decided to SORAS Sophia a few years for plotline reasons.

If they're going to do the adoption story with Johnny and Chanel, they should move nuSophia in with them -- and have Sophia become attracted to Johnny. I need something other than the "I'll give you my baby" stuff.

    • I think I can help with pointing to a period where to start watching. The show is available in youtube in multiple playlists that I'm sure someone already sent to you, so I won't do that. You can easily find them also by typing Edge of night and the year you are searching on the youtube search engine. Mid 1979 till the end (1984) are pretty much 90 percent there thanks to some amazing uploaders. I would suggest for a new viewer a starting episode of 6077 - it's the episode that begins the Mansion of the damned storyline. Before that... it's the end of a prior storyline and I found it very confusing and hard to watch, because you are getting the climax of something that was happening long time before you start. You can start watching from 6077 - the episode where Nola gets the offer to do the movie script... and just go from there. Once you watch this episode... you won't be able to stop.  Quite frankly if someone had told me to start with this episode... I would have spared myself the struggle of the other 30-40 episodes before that. If you need help with links or playlists... I can also help, and you can message me anytime.

    • I haven't had 1 free second the past few days, so I'm gonna have to catch up tomorrow. Judging by the amount of people posting here... I'm getting the feeling it's going to be GOOD.
    • Yeah... Trisha Mann-Grant totally stole the show today. Idk if it was intentional or unintentional, but I've had a lot more sympathy for the characters that we were led to believe were the villains on this show, from the very beginning. And with Dana/Leslie, it was no different, especially after today. And surprisingly, I was impressed by Brandon Claybon too, in that scene where Martin raged at Ted. I wish it had gone on a little longer. And I love how Smitty was there for him too. I really hope the effects of this play out for a long time. This could have such a ripple effect across the canvas and I hope it does. Ted/Nicole, Dani/Andre, Kat/Tomas/Eva, Martin/Smitty, Bill/Naomi/Chelsea, there are so many possibilities.  And I know this is a nitpick, but why weren't Tyrell and Samantha at their grandparents' anniversary party?
    • I'm starting to wonder that as well.
    • That makes sense, as they are both outsiders.
    • I was thinking more unforeseen ones. I haven't thought of anything yet besides like you said...the setbacks with his daughters.    I also can see Hayley and Eva probably finally bonding.

    • Yes, Billy was all nostalgic about the Abbott home and didn't like the changes, yet he had no second thoughts or respect when completely renovating Chancellor. He could have actually mentioned that misguided step as evidence to Diane that these type of changes can backfire.
