Liz is even Head Nurse now so that tracks. And I completely agree. Part of the reason I like her is her growth from bad girl to artist to nurse. And from her mistakes and wanting to change, she was highly watchable and highly rootable for me growing up. Something people love to see and support an underdog.

Truly an actress who can turn some horrible stories (and pairings) into gold.

And yes, I do enjoy seeing Lucky and Liz all grown up with smiles. Especially Lucky. Say what I want about his appearances, but he hasn't looked like he's going to cry since a little bit after his character got away from Sidwell. Finally!!!

You can't say GH didn't get their money's worth off that location shoot.  I have seen Sonny jump off that tram at least a million times.

And, not directed at anyone in particular, but if you re-watch that location shoot the promo for that hotel was so intense.  Sonny literally walks past that hotel to try to find Brenda? for at least 5 mins more than once.  That doesn't sound like a lot of time, but it is a lot of time to watch MB just walking on hotel grounds.

It's also kind of hilariously dick-ish Sonny just watches Luke get shot and fall off the boat and decides to just leave him in the ocean.

I like how he came back to town and was like 'idk is he alive? could be, don't count him out Laura!'

But I haven't seen the Puerto Rico caper/November '94 sweeps eps in their entirety since they first aired. I wish they were online.

I remember Brenda screeching to go get Luke and Sonny's all "naw, he's good.  He'll figure it out.  Let's have sex on the beach instead".   Some things never change.

A lot of it's in this playlist.  I don't think the entirety of the shows has ever been posted.  It's Sonny/Brenda edits but it has most of the PR caper or at least the most important parts. I included the glamour shot of the hotel lol.   This person just cut a lot of Lily/Miguel/Juan stuff which is a choice I agree with.

Drew...AND MS. WU??? Now we know Drew has gone to the dark side. lol.

Loved it. Lucy with the eyebrow cock...making me think of That GH opening that guy on Bluesky parodied above lmao well-timed. Carly getting that look that she has not had on her face in a good minute when she found Drew's tie on the couch...just so CARLY. Jordan actually being Undercover Jordan which she hasn't been since she first came on the scene.

And that's just moments.

Storywise, I found a lot that I liked. Cuz WOOOOOOW Drew really done hopped that fence just to have sex with Willow. The shady comments that come to mind. lol. And now he's setting his targets up in a row. Curtis and using Ms. Wu to do it. And now OFFICIALLY aiming for Jason AND Sonny. And we all know how well that ends. Murder mystery, anyone???

Great Lucky/Liz scene. But seeing the 'letterhead' of the episode, that did not surprise me at all. I enjoyed them talking and Lucky talking about his adventure at Sidwell's. And any callback to Liz's long-ago declaration that she's no one's angel...which when I really and officially became her fan...hit home. No plot...just the two of them bonding organically through actions that did take place on screen. And the dance....awwwww. Anything that makes Liz happy, makes me happy.

'We have a connection.' Isaiah, if you don't stop!!!

Lord, I've enjoyed all the Jordan/Isaiah interactions. And when he said that, and Jordan stumbled in her words. And he gave that look....mmmm WOOOOFFF!!!! I almost hate that Sidwell is involved. And...she has a bit of chemistry with both. And add in Lucy being Lucy. That actually could be fun. Though I still want Sidwell to go.

Of course Jason is out of town all of a sudden *cough*blockfilming*cough* More time for the writers to spin this stupid 'Jason is Sasha's babydaddy' storyline off into something.

That said...CARLY...YOU...BETTA...READ!!!! And CARLY is the one who gave Drew that tie, too??

I could not believe that Drew actually hopped a fence. I mean...is it that good? On one hand, the Willow/Drew story just feels nasty. On the other hand, this is turning into some good messy drama. And more reason I feel Drew is going to wind up obsessed. I also liked that it seems like the writers are going to keep the rivalry between Drew and Cody going. And cuz we know I love seeing her...MSSSSSSSSSSSSS WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for NuBrennan...well I've always said Charles Mesure could get it. I've also said grown up Chris McKenna could get it when he was on Y&R and all theme primetime movies so looks don't bother me at all and I already knew Chris could fill out a suit. So mmmmm. That said...I liked that Chris (now that I've seen the whole scenes) has found the essence of the Brennan character from go which I liked. I'm undecided how I feel about him with Carly though. I also wonder...would it be funny if this turned into a Stabi from DAYS situation? Where the recast (which was Tyler Christopher to Brandon Barash) happened and real interest takes hold in the audience...only for the recast to be killed off before the writers realize it? And intriguing they brought back that Cyrus thread. I thought Brennan got the footage to help Joss and thus Carly, but there's something else in play...?

Carly being Carly will always get a rise out of me. Light Drew up, Carly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then Drew throwing Jason in Carly's face. Lord...his inferiority complex.

But...that was good!!!

    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
    • @Maxim Great to see your mini-reviews again. There are a number of clips on Youtube of Janice's slow mental breakdown. Christine Jones is just superb. She played the hell out of that role. Something which isn't referenced as much later on is how Mitch pushed Janice's doubts and mental instability for his own ends...until suddenly he didn't want to anymore (I guess he caught on with the audience and the show became wary). I don't want to post a bunch of clips, but this one has a very good confrontation between Rachel and Janice.

    • It really made Oscar the Doorman seem like an imbecile.   I think the show's unusual format & subject manner is what makes EON often seem less "dated" and "old-fashioned" than other shows from that time period.  It never attempted to be especially "trendy" or "modern" -- and its film noir style is pretty timeless.
    • Dallas, Dynasty, Knots and Falcon Crest all had good runs but by 85 they had seen better days. I think they were a victim of the format. After several seasons seeing the same characters front and center viewers were bored. What was once fascinating grew predictable. JR, Alexis etc had to be front and center and after a while their schemes and shtick grew repetitive. JR remarrying Sue Ellen, Alexis constantly trying to get he better of Blake etc Unlike daytime, there wasn't the flexibility to bring in other stories and characters and maybe let the likes JR go backburner. That same mentality also invaded daytime with characters like  Sonny and Victor still peddling the same stuff after decades. I guess the same could be said for MSW eg every week Jessica encounters a crime and solves it,but I think viewers come to that format with a different mindset.
    • Daphnee and Trisha did a live stream on Instagram and confirmed they find out if the show gets picked up in May. This pretty much confirms they're on the primetime schedule like the Bell soaps. Fingers crossed we get a multi-year renewal announcement soon!  https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJSsYb7PDv8/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
    • I don't think Lois the character was there.  The Lois we knew from the 90s has pretty much died with this  Gio story crap.
    • Have to agree re MM. The goody two shoes character and writing doesn't help but maybe a more dynamic actor would help Brandon lift his game also. I found the song sequence a little OTT. First of all it should have been shorter and maybe the song fades out and just some music to accompany the montage. I think it would have worked better if Anita had have been alone after everyone left and started tinkling leading into the song, with Vernon coming in observing and then joining her for  a close moment. Everyone standing around felt a little too much. And that closing effect with the two blackscreens meeting was unnecessary. Just a fade out would have been enough.

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
