No, I do think Stafford matched that one more than Cynthia Watros did. And the same goes with James Patrick Stuart (Valentin). Watros, for me, worked better with Maurice Benard (Sonny). I sense that Watros would have done well with Rick Hearst (Ric) where I think he and Stafford lacked. The only non-pairing I think both women did well with was with Donnell Turner (Curtis).

Oh, it would have bombed. Stafford, to me, doesn't have the chemistry needed to work with Benard.

For a moment, I thought you were referring to Roger Howarth. Too much "RH" initialled people on this soap.

As far as I am aware, Hearst & Watros did not work together during their time on Guiding Light. Watros' Annie's pairing with Ron Raines' Alan didn't come in 1997 when Hearst had left already.

And it's never going to happen.

I mean, when's the last time any leading lady had the chemistry to work with Mo?  Tamara Braun?  Megan Ward?  Some are better than others-I'll give you Watros-but Mo's been a chemistry vacuum for years

There are a lot of RH's on GH.  For some reason I thought Annie did have some interaction with Hearst's A-M.   I could envision a Ric/Nina pairing with Watros.  I don't think Ric/Nina with Stafford was anything more than a rushed stunt.

Sarah Joy Brown (as Claudia). Hell, I'd even wager Kelly Sullivan (ex-Kate) had some chemistry despite such a piss-poor D.I.D. storyline. Plus, I can't even deny it. Maura West (Ava) had chemistry, but she's a chemistry magnet to herself!

They could have on Guiding Light but it doesn't recollect to me. And no, Hearst is poised for West for some #RAVA. And I won't allow it to be stopped.

No.  They had no chemistry at all!!!! How dare you?  I will say for a brief period I did enjoy the way Sonny was written in regards to Konnie and her DID.  Sonny actually did seem understanding and did seem to care for her deeply.

Yeah, I suppose Maura and Mo have some chemistry.

Ava is fine with Ric.  I don't like Ric much anyhow.  I have found him useful in this return though.

Today's amazing LOTD comes directly out of Drew's thoughtfulness & unselfishness!

"It would be unfair, especially to Michael, for us to deny our feelings for each other." -

Drew to Willow

Drastic change of subject

I'm still promoting #Avarice as the best ship name for Ric & Ava.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.

    • The Dallas finale was the highest-rated episode since October 9, 1987 (Gone with the Wind). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of Murder, She Wrote was October 23, 1987 (Tough Love). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of The Cosby Show was February 22, 1985 (Shattered Dreams).
