Members Huntress
Sweden should send "Bara bada bastu", that's a great song and performance. Next few entries ... Denmark, Germany, Iceland, and The Netherlands are actually quite good IMO. Members I Am A Swede
The Netherlands and Iceland were ok. Denmark too I guess, but I don't like when a song ends that abruptly. They should be able to construct the song better than that. Australia - meh..... Germany, sorry that is not my cup of tea at all. It's not the absolute worst entry this year, but it's definitely among the worst in my opinion. I'm not sure she hit a single note correctly in the second half of that performance.
Members brockreynolds
I like Netherlands best out of this last batch. And the German singer? 100% correct. Of all the singers available to them, they couldn't find one that can sing on pitch? the Swedish song, "Hush Hush"... is it just me, or that song sound like it should be a Turkish entry? Australia.... I'm not sure what I just watched. How want to lay odds he wears that blue jumpsuit at the contest? Members I Am A Swede
I think so too. It would be so different from the slick, polished pop songs we have sent for years now. And in Swedish as well. It's a song that makes you happy, and we sure could use some happiness right now. Members Manny
My favorite it still Albania after all these months. Such an interesting song, with strong lyrics and charismatic performer (the girl, not the guy lol). I do enjoy some other songs, but none are really giving me winner vibes. Austria came out today and I guess I could see that win, but isn't that just too similar to Nemo? I don't see the same thing winning twice in a row. I just hope Mans doesn't win for Sweden again (sorry, I am Swede). Mans' song is just horrible. He is an amazing performer and the staging is awesome, but the song itself is just a bunch of nothing, in my opinion. So I hope Kaj goes for Sweden, it's a real fun song. Even if it does sing about sauna culture lol Out of other songs, I do enjoy Netherlands (even though the chorus is so weak and repetitive, I like the rest of the song a lot), Luxembourg, Belgium... I love Australia unless I actually listen to the lyrics. The groove and music and the singer are really cool, but again, the lyrics are just bad. This year's fandom favorites like Finland and Poland do nothing for me. And I hope Estonia does not qualify.
Members Huntress
She was actually sick during the National Final. The performance in the semi-final was much better. Please register in order to view this content --- Next few entries: Austria is bombastic, but also quite weird. I guess the juries will love this. Italy is nice and understated. Serbia is quite boring, and Croatia ... well Please register in order to view this content Austria 2025: JJ / "Wasted Love" Language: English Croatia 2025: Marko Boŝnjak / "Poison Cake" Language: English Italy 2025: Lucio Corsi / "Volevo essere un duro" Language: Italian Serbia 2025: Princ / "Mila" Language: Serbian
Members Manny
I usually LOVE Italy. It' s probably my favorite ESC country. I gotta say, I loved Olly (the winner of SanRemo), and I am sad he's not going to Eurovision. Lucio... I love the lyrics. They really are relatable. But I just don't like the song as much. Serbia is boring. But since Serbia qualifies every year, I don't mind them not qualifying this year and giving up the space for someone who hasn't been in the final for a while. Croatia (my country).. I gotta say, when the songs came out, I really loved this song. However I knew it would need to have amazing staging. Also I had no idea who Marko Bošnjak was, and when I heard the song, I thought it was some cool new band. But then when I realized who is singing it, my enthusiasm went down, because I just didn't believe Marko could pull it off. And now that he won (pushed by the juries, not the televote), I am still not convinced. The staging looked cheap (but okay, they can elevate for Eurovision), but I am still not convinced by HIM.. He needs to massively improve vocally, the big notes are not there. And also he needs to be better and switching between the "cute" and scary moments. Also, I think his "cute" moments should be more like, cute-creepy. Please register in order to view this content UK and Czechia came out today. I don't know why but I thought Czechia would be a banger. But it's not. It's nice, I suppose. He has a nice voice. UK is fun! I hope the ladies can sing, because I like the studio version. And in previous years I enjoyed the studio version as well, but it would fall apart live. So I hope they can sing live. Otherwise I predict another bottom 5.
Members I Am A Swede
You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm not a fan of Måns' song either. It's the same generic pop we usually send, and we've had much better songs in recent years (I still love Cornelia Jakobs and "Hold me closer"). Måns' song this year feels like an inferior version of "Heroes".
Members I Am A Swede
Yes, her performance isn't as bad, but the song still is..... Austria: Croatia: What the hell is this? The most shizophrenic song I think I've ever heard. A singer trying to look smouldering and scary and the suddenly he breaks into a nursery rhyme..... Italy: Three minutes of nothing. Italian is a beautiful language, but this is probably the worst song Italy has sent since they came back to the contest. Serbia: Balkan ballad, formula 1A. It's not bad, but we've all heard this many times before, and better. (Zeljko Joksimovic with "Lane moje" (2004) and Hara Mata Hari with "Leyla" (2006) springs immediately to mind.)
Members brockreynolds
Gotta say, Italy's SONG is fantastic... the singer sucks doodie balls. Someone with good pitch and a melodic voice would do that song justice. Serbia?? Not bad... certainly an atrractive man, with a good voice, once he opens his throat up.. but in the verses he sings in that damned forced whisper that is so popular today, that I hate with the fire of a thousand suns. Reminds me of these Christian rock singers. Edited Saturday at 08:04 PM by brockreynolds

Members I Am A Swede
I love it. For the first time since 1998 we will send a song in Swedish. And I'm thrilled that Måns Zelmerlöw didn't win. He's a competent artist and his song and performance were very professional but a bit boring, and it's the kind of song we've sent so many times before.
Members brockreynolds
I think the biggest mistake of recent years was them not sending Tänker inte alls gå hem ... I think it was 2021? But Good Lord, that was a good song.
