If I were Sami, I would be beyond annoyed at Marlena for going to lunch with Leo.

It is one thing for them to have a professional relationship, because she appears to be almost the only therapist in town (with the notable exception being the one that Rachel will see).

However, given Leo's multiple crimes against Will, Sami has every reason to hate the dude, and want her mother to go to lunch with almost anyone else.

Also, a sweatshirt from Rochester is the dumbest form of proof.  Say what you will about RonC, but he usually tries to be a bit more clever with his clues.  Why not just have Kerry arrive home to a neon sign that says, “I'm Lady Whistleblower”?

Yeah… when is Body&Soul getting cancelled? #PoorMarlena#PoorDee

Once again, the writing for Kerry is having the opposite effect. I really think all this anti-Kerry writing is just gonna make people like him more and more. I know I do, regardless of Leo

Like I said, they should’ve made Kerry a really bad guy because that’s the only way that this storyline could’ve possibly worked the way Ron wanted it. I’ve liked Kerry more and more each day this week and I’m not looking forward to what’s probably going to happen to him. And he’s seemed very smart as well, so him being dumb enough to fall for Leo’s trap is kinda sad.

Javi and Kerry’s last scene was hot too lol too bad it got ruined by Leo

Tate/Kayla was a nice surprise. I’m glad that Days remembered that they’re family. And I like that Tate is already suspicious and jealous of Doug III as well. I’m looking forward to the conflict and I also wouldn’t mind if this leads to Tate actually developing feelings for Sophia, even though I still think the baby is unnecessary and should’ve happened a little later. I hope we get a nice big messy quad with the four of them. And now that Doug III is determined to get the necklace back for Julie, and pay back what he owes Holly, I wonder where this is all going to go from here. Just as long as he doesn’t start working for Body&Soul.

As for Kristen’s demon spawn, sorry, I just don’t care lol

It can't be soon enough.

It's bad enough when Ron Carlivati stumbles into a joke that only he finds amusing, but he always makes it worse by beating the rest of us over our heads with it.  (Newsflash, Ron: if the joke doesn't land the first time, it's never gonna land).

Today's show was garbage minus the Tate and Holly scenes.

Wasting a diva in DH with Leo and the Body and Soul garbage.

How could TPTB allow this garbage to be put on air?

Leo needs to go! Greg Rikkart needs to be fired!!

Uncle can run a joke into the ground faster than Seth McFarlane and Jimmy Kimmel put together

It’s funny the first time, but after the 475th time, it just isn’t anymore.

GR isn't my cup of tea, but I don't hold him responsible for making Leo such an unbearable character to watch.  He's only playing what's written for him.

The truth is, they've had several opportunities to make Leo more sympathetic, and they've blown each and every one of those opportunities, too.  So, yeah, I'd agree: Leo's gotta go.

God Kevin was the most sanctimonious annoying ass considering the character’s history. The fact that he ended up working for the police is ludicrous. I was so happy they stopped featuring the character and Gloria as well. So naturally Days gave him an even worse character to eat another show I watch.

Well Will forgave the man that “killed” him and became besties with him while her mom became a mother figure to him,  so I’m sure Sami’s just given up on both of them having realistic reactions to the people that wrong their family.

5 consecutive episodes of Leo

This is what I mean when I say that every excuse we’ve ever gotten was bullshit. And that if Ron really, really wants to do something, he can get it done, budgeting, scheduling, availability, etc. be damned.

And to make matters worse, this was a complete Body&Soul day. Javi and Kerry looked hot, and we finally got proof that Days actually does have more than one pair of black underwear but that’s pretty much all I got for today.

Again, I hope the actors had fun because they’re the only ones.

I wonder what actually was the final straw that that led to Ron being fired, because it should’ve been this [!@#$%^&*] and I’m not sure if it was. This is what I’m worried about for BTG and the episodes that he works on; that’s everything just gonna be a big stupid joke.

Hopefully, MVJ or somebody, anybody gives out some ass whoopin’s if they need to.

    • That was my point really. These anniversary party scenes are the first ones, and now they won't be able to use them (meaning these actual scenes, as aired, with OG Ted). They can recreate them but I doubt they will spring for all the extras to come back and film and recreate everything, so it will be more like tight closed in shots of Ted with one or two other actors, or snippets of Leslie's original speech where Ted wasn't visible. It would be hard to recapture the original energy of the scenes are as they were filmed in their full context. I just think that's too bad, but maybe they will prove me wrong. I never really saw what was so off in his portrayal to warrant a recast, anyway, so that colors my perception as well.
    • Yeah, and quite honestly, are there really that many scenes that are flashback-worthy at this point in the run?
    • I know at one point they were on Hulu & i-Tunes. I just checked it on JustWatch.com & it indicates 1 season on Prime Video & on AppleTV. Have fun!
    • That era is so weird...they made a big deal out of all three of those characters and then they just..disappeared! Not that I am complaining. We talk about the bad out of character writing for Alex under JFP..but this was one example that may have led them to write her being so obsessive with Nick.  WHY would Alex accept Flock of Seagulls guy as her brother? They had her in one scene (setting up the Alan return) complain that Alan abandoned her...she blackmailed him into leaving town and she had been angry at him for helping Brandon with Lujack and also using Spaulding for that dumb dreaming death thing. Endless scenes of her with Simon, I can't believe Bev wasn't bored to death! I would also add Pam writing the scene where she lets Ms. Sally die in front of her to protect Alan and  the writing for Alex could be screwy even before JFP.
    • On this day 34 years ago the final episode of Dallas and came in at an astonishing #2 in the ratings after two straight seasons of weak ratings. Interesting Knots was #27 for that week as well:

    • Thank you for clearing that up. I wasn't watching GL regularly yet at that point, but seems to me I should have remembered the big wedding after Leslie's death (which I do remember) described in the profile. Is there a web archive of SOD summaries, or are referring to your own personal collection?
    • I was bummed that 2.0 ended because Mcpherson (headwriter) had really set up some interesting stories and we never got to find out where the stories would go once they resumed production on 'season 2'. I remembered the EP (Ginger Smith) and a lot of the stars gave a lot of credit to McPherson being able to come in on very short notice and come up with stories/plots (I think it was a very short turnaround time of a few weeks).  It was nice that she got to redeem herself after her year long Days stint was not well reviewed/liked.

    • It seems like a setup for failure to review a single episode of a soap, but Cleveland Amory was a foolish man.  His taste was so predictable, that one wondered why bother reviewing a medium he so clearly disliked. (found on Facebook retro TV group) Another case in point of his misogyny from his review of Dark Shadows (Can you imagine the magazine with the widest circulation in the country insulting its customer in this way today?)

    • They could easily be re-created, or even re-shot in different ways, especially if they were re-shooting scenes at some point, as well.
