This is for @Errol

Any idea why my Chromebook would be blocking posts and things on this board? I posted some stuff and I can't see it on my laptop, it also doesn't show gifs either

I'm trying to figure if it's something in my laptop settings. Just wondered if you might have an idea what causes this?

Never had that happen on any device I use.

Maybe look around the settings or the settings of any active ad-blocker. I've had instances where ad-blockers... block things in the pages. But not here on SON.

This is the only site that it does this on. Like I posted something from Blue Sky and I can't see it after I post it. Just a blank page like I didn't post anything at all

I looked around the options on Chrome, but didn't see anything that I can help with. Again, it may be some ad-on you are using on the browser. Ad-blockers are known to do things like that. But I don't know. Good luck into resolving this issue and keep us updated on what it caused it, when you do resolve it.

@dragonflies , my experience with laptops and PCs: Some browsers won't display images or embedded social media posts on messageboards -- if you have your location disabled in your browser.  It makes absolutely no sense to me, but that's my experience.

I mean, I tend to be a somewhat private person and generally keep most cookies and locations disabled.  Chrome and Firefox shouldn't need to know where I'm reading from, in order for me to read.

But for the issues you described, I have discovered that when I adjust "site settings" for the messageboard's website, for the image host site, and for the social media company websites, so that my location can be seen by those sites, then I can see all the things I couldn't see before.

Try reinstalling the browser from scratch. I've had issues resolve that way.
