I really enjoyed Law & Order until Carey Lowell exited after Season 8, after that the show became a mess IMO and became so perfunctory. I think S18-20 tried to get back to what those first 8 seasons had but it just didn’t work.

Ironically L&O’s lack of serialization ended up working against it badly in the streaming era.
